    It’s interesting to imagine what kind of people we would become if we lived as though God didn’t exist. Life would be extremely shallow, self-centered, delusional and materialistic. Unbeknownst to many, this is already how they live. It can’t be anything besides utter insanity.

    I'm always hilariously amazed at the atheists who insist we have no meaning, purpose, or point, trying to make that point.
    There is a God, you have a purpose. If you don't know it yet, you will at an appointed time.
    None, have the purpose of floating in a cloud, or at the feet of God, for eternity.
    Kingdoms, are hierarchy, and jobs.

    A comment I left on another video:
    "No matter which way we go, it is no better than any other." -Cioran
    So it makes no difference whether you live as a serial killer?
    Not only is this false, I think we can safely say it is certainly false. It is certainly the case that pain (intrinsically bad qualia) and happiness (intrinsically good qualia) are different. It is also certain that they are real. To quote Jordan Peterson (one of the few things I've heard him say that has any substance), "There's nothing more real than pain." (Davie Addison. 08 Feb 2017. “Jordan Peterson Chats with Duncan Trussell 2017.”)
    Because all fates lead to the same death, we wonder what difference anything makes. The answer is the real experiences real people really have. Our actions make the difference between whether we and others experience moments of suffering or moments of flourishing, and the difference between those moments is not only real, but certainly real.
    When someone says life is meaningless or pointless, it sounds to me like they are saying there are no good reasons to live. But this would imply that everyone who chooses to live when faced with the choice to live or die is making an irrational choice. But surely all the world's smartest living folks have faced this choice and chose life. Are they irrational to do so? What are the odds that you are more rational than they are? Really, there are objectively good reasons to live (e.g., to maximize the moments of flourishing for yourself and others), and these reasons cause the smartest folks to choose to live.
    In this sense, not only is life meaningful, but it is objectively so such that when someone says "Life is meaningless (and thus there are no good reasons to live)", they are saying something false.

    I agree the atheist has no objective purpose of life. But look at the passion we have for things like supporting our sports teams and playing video games. theres no meaningful benefit to our lives when our team wins or beating a video game but it does cause us great joy. So made up purposes are functionally enough for our psychology.
    On the topic of objective purpose, the concept of lasting effects for eternity is an interesting one. It makes me wonder if that's a necessary criterion for something to be considered objectively purposeful. Perhaps objective purpose could exist within the context of our current lives and the impact we make on the world around us.

    • @smalltownhomesteadAC
      @smalltownhomesteadAC 2 месяца назад

      Yes, that invented purpose might be enough to survive, we can see in history however how that ends up. Always with people playing God, and all others living under tyranny and slavery. I think Christianity(and only that) is what would give us better lives, if people believed it, regardless of whether it is true or not.

    To end Islam and the war you have to ask for proof that the Quran was memorized. You might ask "how come asking for proof that the Quran was memorized is going to end Islam?". In life to be happy we have to be wise. In life to be happy we have to understand reality. In life to be happy we have to be good persons. Why don't you ask for proof that the Quran was memorized and see how it goes?. What will be the future of atheism and christianity after christians and atheists refused to ask for proof that the Quran was memorized? How the refusal will be justified?. To end the war and other undesirable suffering the discovery that atheism is a logical fallacy has to be news. The truth, that is censored, is atheism is a logical fallacy that assumes God is the religious idea of the creator of the creation to conclude wrongly no creator exists because a particular idea of God doesn’t exist. I will rephrase the atheist logical fallacy to facilitate the understanding. Atheism is a logical fallacy that assumes God is "sky daddy" to conclude wrongly no creator exists because a particular idea of God doesn’t exist. Emergency! The true God is Spinoza's God and if you don't believe me you can read Spinoza. Thank you.

      If morals or purpose are not objective or don’t need to be, then why should anyone listen to what you even have to say?
