Love this video and the music made my day! Not being critical but I think my HOBL + HOZ/Spirit combo clears bugs faster than this. The only downside with something like this is the cast rate or + skills loss on shield and potential socket on weapon. Love this though and W Scythe looks dope! I did FoH din in S8. But, I invest 0 in Lightning damage. I do max HB, conviction just -150all, and invest in Holy shield 12 point, Fanaticism 10 and Smite 1. The reason is simple: solo Uber/dClone/and single target damage. I switch to Smite+Fana when FoH fails. And is cheap, very cheap. No Griffon's, no dual dream, no infinity. Is kinda daunting when I see all this expensive gear. What about the poor or those who don't use j2sp?
I tried with dual dream + crescent moon with native holy shock assisting with infinity merc. The dreams holy shock doesnt stack with native aura but aura tick still works individualy.
I'm gonna give this a try. I've loved all the new changes to foh builds but I've never done it like this. New character starts after work ends tonight!

I made something similar with maxing holy shock with 6 light faceted pb + spirit shield. you get around +50% lightning damage and -50% light res just from weapon and griffons. stack offensive auras for highest level holy shock to boost aura and melee dmg. the +lightning damage double dips when you use zeal. put extra points into hb and foh for clear.
I play my FoH guy as an auradin with Hand of Justice and 2x Dragon. Hand of Justice is a +3 FoH base caduceus. Max synergies for holy fire, I use a double faceted Crown of Ages, fire sunder charm and combat skillers. Merc is a barb using Last Wish + Hustle (weapon and armor both, so he keeps up with the carges). Main aura is of course Conviction at -150%. 1 point into Zeal nets me a 9500 sheet damage zeal with -180 fire resis on non immunes. Not having teleport may seem intimidating first, but I just full clear terror zones with this build, so charge is more than fine. CTA made in a +3 redemption base, and is the active aura on swittch. FoH is still lvl 38 with this setup, but I dropped a few skills here and there for better survivability, since I'm using this build to grind out 99. Could go up 2-3 points with reasonable exchanges of gear, but since damage is comming from 3 sources, I prefer a well rounded setup. It is definitely an endgame build, without godly bases it is "finished" at lvl 98. (+3 FoH, +3 Conviction, +1 charge HoJ and +3 Redemption, +3 Holy Shield CTA would get it finished at 93)

@@AdventurestGaming I have only +3 FoH HoJ and +3 redemption CTA, but I'm lvl 98, so its all good. Aura damage is waaaay higher, as it tripple procs a lvl 44 holy fire (dont ask me why it works like that). In some p8 terror zones, like far oasis, it one taps mobs, making those the best farming spots for this build. On a side note, I still manage a respectable 175% mf without perfect gear.

Fun idea, i like it. i usually tweak builds around and im surprised i never thought to go this way lol. i gone the normal foh route, but had conv merc and used holy shock and it was pretty dece.

Have you tried Infinity on Merc, with Crescent Moon and a shield for yourself? Dmg might be a bit lower on broken/sundered lightning-immunes, but for every other mob the damage should go up due to + skills on the shield. Also capping res would be much easier, and you wouldn't need all those 5@ SCs. Regarding mana regen, I'd recommend using Redemption after fights. And I've never had a problem with survivability on this char, so Cure and Prayer seems unnecessary as the standard Might and Andy Face would be a lot more damage.
making fohdin to farm all areas is not a good idea when with enigma you can just skip non demon undead enemies and at the cost of a shield when pala shield is the most op thing in diablo with this build killling non demons undeads are not time efficient and this build can be only used on softcore in low player count i usually prefer to use Redemption fast regen and its time efficient
Foh+ HB. Max conviction, lighting resist, and rest into sanc. Roll around with a dual dream and main conviction. Means you can get you a good hs damage, max holybolt damage for clear, can have a shield for block, and insight Merc.

You'd be able to use a crescent moon + dream with phoenix on swap with an act 5 dual plague merc. That should round out the build without losing the insane -light res, and gives you healing from redemption without the merc setup

theres better way, hammerfoher, you can actually make it decent, max foh, max holy bolt, max hammer and max concentration, rest points into hammer synergy..much more effective than this

I have a really nice griffins with facet in it I use on my javazon. Also I have 4 pcombs. ( edit) shit come to think of it, I have everything I need rn

I just made a dual Dream conviction zealer+ FoH hybrid with Phoenix PB and it's sick af. All of my Pali builds are FoH hybrids of some kind. Even 10pts holy Bolt 10pts foh is strong enough to breeze through solo and even kills decent in near Player games lol. And that's with grief and GFace + highlords so only a few + all skills

I've tried to play pure Auradin and I made calculations on that build with Dual Dream. You see self used Conviction is a little bit worse than Infinity with it's extra -50% to resist. Also my Holy Shock Aura is higher level then in Dual Dream. I think it work better.
I have made a mix between zeal and fist of heavens build...its fun for me...tankines and clearing multiple from distance with fist of heavens..anyhow currently on lvl 76,and tring to beat hell difficulty..its hard i have to say..stil stuck a bit in first act lol;)
If u want to play that way would be way better to : leave infy on merc, then full rbf 6sox sword + 45allres 4 rbf on shield. Or a pally weap 5 sox with +3foh. That way u get -50 light res / +50% dmg light = MORE lighting DPS + MB + 45all res
Really nice overview, but unfortunately the damage from holy shock is not making any huge changes to the damage overall in chaos or to the beetles. So anyway you need to skip those mobs
Killing the beetles in the TZs as shown in the video still doesn't seem worth the time. It's still mainly single-target on non-demon/-undead lightning-immunes; especially on higher player-counts Holy Shock won't do much to them.
It's Fist of the Heavens and it's not single target skill. It has complex mechanics with single target lightning damage and holy bolts that are flying around dealing tonns of damage to all the monsters near by.
Great idea. I'm curios what's your chance to hit act bosses, since infinity does have that crushing blow, and given that conviction reduces their defense... Would also be interesting to see your chance to hit with a Blessed Aim merc instead of a Prayer one.
The chance of hitting in this build is not the most pleasant. Initially, I also thought about voicing the ability to deal damage in melee, but unfortunately the chance of hitting the target and the attack speed did not suit me.
@@JordanBiserkov while you could go the melee route the variant is more caster based not melee. The melee focused variant is what you’d consider folks played for 20 years. It’s doable just not as powerful. Your trading single target dps for aoe dps x2
Nah bro, just use astreon or beast in +3 foh caduceus (eventually grief but loose the +sk), then use self fanaticism and zeal for beasts and act bosses
Yeah well, the lack of holy shield is a hard tradeoff, also you take away easy fcr and survivability on your weapon and especually surviveability because of the missing holy shield. You surely can boost your defense with other means like running defiance aura on merc but the power of holy shield is incredible and you will lack the ability to use smite wich is quite strong on some encounters. Also this frees up your auraslot, its allways nice to be able to switch between fana, defiance, salvation or any other aura you may find fitting the situation. You also could run crescent moon + dream/hand of justice + dragon with your own conviction aura but this is again an limitation. So, the Idea is good and you surely can play this to but I definetly would not use infy on a Paladin since imo the toughness of said class is one of its strongpoints and also flexible aurasupport.

The tribrid works well also. Dropping holy shock and conviction altogether and replacing with Blessed Hammer. It's strong enough that you can farm literally anywhere.
That's actually very big question. I've got level 32 Holy Shock ( More that Dual Dream ) aura and - level 12 Conviction and on top of that - 70% enemy resistances from the gear. It's definitely stronger then level 25 confiction alone.
I like this build, but only hammerdin can do P8 with no trouble. Im pushing to 99 with a paladin on HC. Try sometinemes to use FoH (not the build on this video), but its no strong enough...

Sure you can rock the game even with budget version. But all of these are different builds for different purpuses.
May I ask If conviction aura can reduce resistance against holy bolt (magic) damage?

Prayer/cure is great for CS and terror zone farming. Its the safest way to lv 99 imo.

the whole point is doing full clears and not being limited. What you're mentioning is a standard Fohdin - a 20+ year old build.

Great idea. I'm curios what's your chance to hit act bosses, since infinity does have that crushing blow, and given that conviction reduces their defense...
Would also be interesting to see your chance to hit with a Blessed Aim merc instead of a Prayer one.
The chance of hitting in this build is not the most pleasant. Initially, I also thought about voicing the ability to deal damage in melee, but unfortunately the chance of hitting the target and the attack speed did not suit me.

@@JordanBiserkov while you could go the melee route the variant is more caster based not melee. The melee focused variant is what you’d consider folks played for 20 years. It’s doable just not as powerful. Your trading single target dps for aoe dps x2

You have the ability to have INFINITY however.... most players can't run dual auras.

Nah bro, just use astreon or beast in +3 foh caduceus (eventually grief but loose the +sk), then use self fanaticism and zeal for beasts and act bosses

Yeah well, the lack of holy shield is a hard tradeoff, also you take away easy fcr and survivability on your weapon and especually surviveability because of the missing holy shield.
You surely can boost your defense with other means like running defiance aura on merc but the power of holy shield is incredible and you will lack the ability to use smite wich is quite strong on some encounters.
Also this frees up your auraslot, its allways nice to be able to switch between fana, defiance, salvation or any other aura you may find fitting the situation.
You also could run crescent moon + dream/hand of justice + dragon with your own conviction aura but this is again an limitation.
So, the Idea is good and you surely can play this to but I definetly would not use infy on a Paladin since imo the toughness of said class is one of its strongpoints and also flexible aurasupport.

The tribrid works well also. Dropping holy shock and conviction altogether and replacing with Blessed Hammer. It's strong enough that you can farm literally anywhere.

Dual dream FOH does more damage.
That's actually very big question. I've got level 32 Holy Shock ( More that Dual Dream ) aura and - level 12 Conviction and on top of that - 70% enemy resistances from the gear. It's definitely stronger then level 25 confiction alone.

I like this build, but only hammerdin can do P8 with no trouble. Im pushing to 99 with a paladin on HC. Try sometinemes to use FoH (not the build on this video), but its no strong enough...
Single player definitely got its own vibe! But I prefer to build characters live on Ladder.
I've got very cool idea about FoH build that can fit Hardcore perfectly. Regarding P8 check out my previous builds of Glass Cannon and Infinity Spearzon. Both of them can do p8 easy!

I really like how you casually left out the most critical part of why paladins exist...with this build, they lose ALL ability to block incoming attacks

Here's how to make FoH better: don't play it on D2R. Play the OG D2 mod called Project D2. It has no cool down there and is much stronger.

It's better to spec holy bolt. You can cast holy bolts while cast delay with FoH and the single target magic dmg is far higher than FoH
Theoreticly yes, but in this build it's actually faster to kill single targets ( bosses icluded ) with Fist of the Heavens
dude, your game play too slow... nova sorc with same equitp farm p8 faster than your FOH
I'm not entirely sure these classes can be compared.
