You've been absolutely killing it with the videos the last few days. I completed my grail a few months ago. My last item was Griswold's Shield. Considering the base type I'm surprised it wasn't in the top 10. I actually found a second tyraels getting my hardcore 99 in the chaos sanctuary. Idea for a follow up video - Would be great to see how this list compares to terrorised Andy. I've found several astreans and mang songs from her recently.
I made a Venom Assassin not too long ago, and experimented with using a Death's Web in the build, with Bramble, Trang's Gloves, etc. The Death's Web was absolutely viable in the build, and the poison damage was 1-shotting many common monsters. It was a big increase, and that is one of the coolest most unique and interesting builds I ever did. I forget what lvl Venom I had on weapon swap.. like 45 or something.
Just restart a fresh single player account two weeks ago, found 3 ber, 1 sur and 2 ohm from lk, 2/49 dweb, death fathom, schaeffer from a random monster, and some other nice find like the grandfather. What a run i feel bless. What a game
This list made me even more mad to the fact that I found most of these items(except tyrael of cos), but no coa & death fathom, and these two aren’t even in the top ten 😭
Astreon's is great for UT Smiters if you get it before you find a Lo Rune for Grief. +2-4 PC, 40-85 Damage that gets added to Smite damage (just like how Grief Works), 33% CB and the Slow also works on Ubers. Just the attack speed is a bit slow, but it still works really well. Tyrael's Might is an awesome Merc armor. Monsters RIP is good for Nihlathak so you don't die to a random Corpse Explosion and then it has CNBF, 100% Damage to Demons, 30 Strength and 30 All Res on top.
I dropped the rarest Charm 4 days back during a TZ at Shenk. 1 P Combat 45 Lifer Monster shape. I have never dropped one in 15 years of playing and never rolled one on a Baal GC before.
wow, I have more of these than I thought. I just found Seraphs Hymn yesterday and was super surprised, because I have never heard of it (no MF streamer ever seemed to have found it). I also have: Metalgrid, Asterons Iron Ward,
I've been playing d2r for over a year now and found 2 whisps, metal grid and dark force. Only found 2 shakos, not found a maras yet and found my first ber the other day. The RNG in this game is crazy. I've found all these with 0% magic find javazon and nothing crazy at all on my 749% item find barb.
I have found like 6 Seraps already. Cant beliebe its supposed to be that rare. I havent even found items like Jah, Lo Rune or HoZ yet, but half the items on that top 10 list and some of them multiple times

I play d2r maybe 1year and dropped every hr and good items which sold for jahs ets, actually i have some good runewords and characters and swaping items and still going for mf with new builds, some ppl have really bad luck but this is so rng xD i have paladin foh mf330+- and slaying everything really fast, its really worth to mf with him
Astreon's is great on the slothadin novelty build. Holy Freeze plus items with slow monster on them. Blackthorn's Face, Nos Coil, Medusa's Gaze (Medusa's is optional), Reaper's Toll on Merc. You can stack enough slow that the Boss AI seems to break. I like Metalgrid on a Double Swing barb, but I have never seen anyone else use them. I have found them all but Tyrael's. Six times I ID'd to get Templar's but no luck with Tyrael's. Maybe this ladder.
What's the drop rate on Crown of Ages? I never found find one till terror zone days, now I have 2. I remember someone saying they were very rare. I have found metal grid, and 2 others on this list, including recently my first stormlash, but the others I've not found ever.
I had a mang songs lesson. Thats the one with +3 all? I remember trying to trade it and nobody knew what it was, I even tried to sell it but couldn't find a price quote on it. Remember just shrugging, never using it, and the ladder eventually rolled over...my account also ended up expiring during a hiatus so unfortunately its gone. But it was cool I guess, I was a necromancer so I barely used it. Didn't know it was so rare. Just assumed it wasn't a sought after item, & that was the reason I could find anything about it (at the time)
I play dream paladin and strongly agree. Single target for pack clearing is slower than grief, but the aoe makes it real fun. I am still hunting for one.
@@mr_proctober2032 Also Tesladin does so much damage that you can leave a bit on the table and still do more than most classes, and clear the game with amazing speed while having fun.
Hey Phil, maybe next time you do this video (hopefully after finding your Tyrael’s), might want to mention why some of these are so rare, with Tyrael’s Might, Stormlash, and Schaefer’s Hammer all having alternate uniques for the same base type with more likelihood to roll. Tyrael’s wouldn’t be quite as rare if Templar’s didn’t exist.
Hello Phil, greetings from Cuba. It would be interesting to have a video where you show us the best builds that can be created if runic words did not exist. I don't know how difficult it would be if in a season they established that runic words are not available and thus force you to play the old way, I think it would be a different experience.
I didn’t know “x goes to mana” meant a percent of the dmg you take fills your mana by that percentage until watching your videos. I always thought the percentage was taken out. Keep it up bro
As a long time SSF player, I can confirm #1 is extremely hard to find, I have never found this item. All other from 10 to 2 are possible to find (I honestly found all of them in HC and SC), sometimes I had two of them in my stash, but Tyrael's is a real angels armor, probably can be received only on sacred days, when Tyrael is not busy with holding evil forces, so he can drop it to the ground while get some beer 😉
I got an arachnids mesh and a dweb from trash mobs terror zone catacombs back to back games. Making a list as we go of items I've found in the last 2 months since I've started SP P7 I just found #10, Darkforce on TZ andy. Seraphs hymn dweb stormlash (just found it an hour ago)
On single player I got my Death’s Web off Baal. Along with a perfect Griffon on multi-player, it is my best. Of course I made a poison necro when I got it.
I just found a deaths fathom today, 2 months into playing single player. Still no shako, no aracks, no tal or ik armor... But my first unique ring was a soj! Also still need a ravenfrost
I use Tyrael's Might on my merc, mostly because I play solo self find and pretty casually, funny enough I was lucky to drop both unique sacred armors within 5 minute span in same game, running terrorized stony tomb, so I probably got lucky with the no-duplicate-unique-in-same-game mechanic
ye thats propably it, normally tyr's might is significantly rarer than templar, you'll find like 100 unique sacred armors and 99 of them will be templars. This map mod forcing a tyrael's in second unique sacred armor is huge. Though unique sacred armor isn't an exactly very common drop, it's still a rare base.
You didn't mentioned other unique items that are extremely rare to find in Hell mode such as Shadow Dancer, Death's Fathom, Griffon's Eye, Windforce, Grandfather's Sword, Crown of Ages, etc.
Found seraph's hymn at catacombs lv2 in a casket 650ish hours in, found soj and a phase blade the same day. Both of whitch i was looking for for like a month.
I've gotten 3 unique amulet drops on my single player lvl 87 bone necro, first one was Seraphs, second was Metalgrid, third was Cats eye, still to this day have never found a Mara's.. rng really is bullshit sometimes
Seraph's being way up there makes me feel a bit better about it still being on my grail list. I've found 5-10 Mang Songs, 3 Astreons, a Death's Web and not a single Seraph's lmao

I have found 3 astreon’s… two are ethereal! Have a seraph’s too. Also have half a dozen wisp projectors, haven’t ever found anything else on the list though

using - nadin wins holy grail - program you can input your char mf and select an item then it will list in ascending order drop chance from monster. definitely saves guess work of who to farm. it also tracks your finds and has stats of your grail quest.
Wisp actually surprised me. Never knew it was such a good item until a few years ago. When playing D2r Online I have found 2-3 every season. I started playing offline solo and have found 4. Just goes to show how RNG is RNG. I have never found or equipped Griffons which sucks. :(

I swear ancient tunnels is the goat. Finally started a single player character and barely have anything and found a griffons and BER in there. Online same thing it seems to be the only zone yielding anything for me
the only one we can use is the Death´s web, all other are trash, may be have to add Mara´s C, Stone of jordan, arachnid, ethereal Andy, eth Riper Tols, etc.
I use tyrael's might with a 5/5 lightning facet on my tesladin dont need raven frost due to its cant be frozen so can use 2 bk rings for added skills and life leach and since no stat requirements can min max for more health and the rest in peace is really useful farming for d key so all charging zombies dont get back up from my experience with the 5/5 its slightly better than coh and better than enigma due to tele making holy shock lag where it takes a second after tele to reactivate might also be good side option for javazons who dont like how clunky tele is on consoles due to set distance tele instead of where ever you want to be but havent tested that that for zon but ive made my tesladin and it walks every thing uptill act 5 without atacking and can solo all 3 uber bosses at same time but its slow on kill speed verses ubers compared to some uber builds but best chill and play class ive found were dont have to worry about dieing hardly ever
Never would've thought a Seraph's would be on this list. Same with the Wisp and I would wonder why you were hunting it so hard lol. I think everyone knew Tyreals would be #1.
thats one thing i hate about diablo 2 the runewords are so beyond broken is destroys over 80% maybe more of items in the game wish they would patch some of those items and improve them to be worth there rarity. Negativity aside though was a dope video thanks for making it keep it up!
Imagine if all those items were actually usable, e.g. Mang Song with -40 to enemy lightning resist and all res. Game would win from having powerful rune words as it’s now, but having super rare unique items even more powerful.
only death web missing... rest i got at least once, when i got tyreals i wasnt even aware of its rarety i was just suprised of the blue instead of the green amor
I was abit shocked a few days ago when a mob in act 5 in normal dropped tal rashas amulet. Did not know it would drop in normal. Had a lvl 25 isch barb with like 25% mf. Looked up the drop chance later on silospen. The dropchance was 1 in 2.200.000 as the lowest dropchance possible in normal... Once in a lifetime guys.😂

I started the game yesterday. Om my first run I failed instantly because I lost my staff somehow and I couldnt get a new one before finishing the first quest xD so I had to start over I'm such a noob xD
I have found a Tyreal literally the 2nd week I was mfing/leveling I was doing full mf runs/games Andy,pits,tombs,meph,d,pin,eld/shAnk,baal...I know it's not every spot but thats what I was running nvr found a dweb or a coa or zod ..but I did get that Tyreal and yes i used it on a zeal pally after i found out how rare it really was..I know its not a great armor it was just to show off lol used a doom so i had freeze going looked so dam cool 😎..how I miss this game😢😢
Is tyrials so much worse than anything else because the game rolls for both tyrials and templars might? Horazons tornado and stormlash seems to have the same thing going on but the scourge drops as a base item more often than a Sacred armor.
Only if Blizz gave Tyrael's the love it deserves, with +2 Skills, +1 Teleport and it's ready to be make it atop of the market.

D2 was a blast pre runewords. I remember if you found the Grandfather CB, you were the coolest kid on the block.

Those weren't very far behind. I think Deaths fathom was like 1 in 89k if i remember correctly. So essentially would be like #11.
I finally got a Death Fathom this week, finally. Definitely tough.
I have found 4 tyreals and never coa but finally got one from Baal then 2 weeks later from terr Andy, I know it’s rng but I feel coa is more rare 😆

Stormlash is okay but either Last Wish/Grief are still BiS runeword for melee class.

Phil I don't know what game you're playing but Astreon's is massively used in Smiters and Holy Paladins. It's literally the #1 option for a lot of ppl

Astreon's weapon is the Best-in-slot for a FoH/Smiter hybrid build!

If we factor in things like if the item is ethereal and the location the item dropped, then eth lenymo from baal is the rarest item in the game.
The Countess droped me a Metalgrid this week. And got 2 Grifons Eye this very same week too. Think I'm lucky

I use tyrael's might with a 5/5 lightning facet on my tesladin dont need raven frost due to its cant be frozen so can use 2 bk rings for added skills and life leach and since no stat requirements can min max for more health and the rest in peace is really useful farming for d key so all charging zombies dont get back up from my experience with the 5/5 its slightly better than coh and better than enigma due to tele making holy shock lag where it takes a second after tele to reactivate might also be good side option for javazons who dont like how clunky tele is on consoles due to set distance tele instead of where ever you want to be but havent tested that that for zon but ive made my tesladin and it walks every thing uptill act 5 without atacking and can solo all 3 uber bosses at same time but its slow on kill speed verses ubers compared to some uber builds but best chill and play class ive found were dont have to worry about dieing hardly ever
Tyreals might on merc is usueful when doing nilithack runs for keys. Use with natures peace on own char and no corpse explosions happen from nilli
its hard to judge after so many years if its harder on resurrected to find items or if its just the lack of time in comparison to LOD
Never would've thought a Seraph's would be on this list. Same with the Wisp and I would wonder why you were hunting it so hard lol. I think everyone knew Tyreals would be #1.
I'm shocked to see Seraph's Hymn on the list. I found 2 way before even finding 1 Mara's or Highlord's in singleplayer
Imagine finding all the items on the list even more so among the first and still not finding a Harlequin's crest, Tal's armor or Mavina's bow.

thats one thing i hate about diablo 2 the runewords are so beyond broken is destroys over 80% maybe more of items in the game wish they would patch some of those items and improve them to be worth there rarity. Negativity aside though was a dope video thanks for making it keep it up!
If only the astronomically rare uniques were astronomically useful
Imagine if all those items were actually usable, e.g. Mang Song with -40 to enemy lightning resist and all res. Game would win from having powerful rune words as it’s now, but having super rare unique items even more powerful.
Ive done like 30 hours of TZ andy and still havent found Astreons and Stormlash. Its like this 510 magic find is useless.
rarest item I have ever found aside from 2 zods was finding a perfect 2/50 dweb. Still havent found a griffons eye....

I was abit shocked a few days ago when a mob in act 5 in normal dropped tal rashas amulet. Did not know it would drop in normal. Had a lvl 25 isch barb with like 25% mf. Looked up the drop chance later on silospen. The dropchance was 1 in 2.200.000 as the lowest dropchance possible in normal... Once in a lifetime guys.😂
Amazingly lucky! My first griffons dropped in hell but off a trash mob devilkin. It was 1 in a million+ drop

I started the game yesterday. Om my first run I failed instantly because I lost my staff somehow and I couldnt get a new one before finishing the first quest xD so I had to start over I'm such a noob xD

I have found a Tyreal literally the 2nd week I was mfing/leveling I was doing full mf runs/games Andy,pits,tombs,meph,d,pin,eld/shAnk,baal...I know it's not every spot but thats what I was running nvr found a dweb or a coa or zod ..but I did get that Tyreal and yes i used it on a zeal pally after i found out how rare it really was..I know its not a great armor it was just to show off lol used a doom so i had freeze going looked so dam cool 😎..how I miss this game😢😢

They should buff Tyrael's Might! Along wiith a lot of the other super rare unique items. I think it would add some much needed spice to the game.

Is tyrials so much worse than anything else because the game rolls for both tyrials and templars might?
Horazons tornado and stormlash seems to have the same thing going on but the scourge drops as a base item more often than a Sacred armor.

Have 2 Wisps rings and I love it
