I just want to say "Thank You". I am new to the whole laser thing and recently just purchased the M1 Ultra 10 watt. I have been watching videos trying to learn how to create things but not finding much specifically for the M1 Ultra. I did engrave on a tumbler a array test and was confused cause it did everything backward. I know now why it probably did I had the rotary in the wrong direction. Thank You
Thank you, you have walk me thought this and Im glad I fing your you tub. It work great! Can you do one step by step with a picture and a name? Thanks dor your help.
I cannot find a setting to turn that on or off. Make sure the laser is over your tumbler, then it should show in the working area. You can also make sure your software and firmware are up to date.
Tutorial was great, you made it seem really easy. Now I have to try this. I don't have the riser you have but I have the wooden risers that came with my RA2 Pro. Can I still engrave?
I hear you! Getting started can be the hardest part. This video is a step by step guide to your first S1 project. It might help! ruclips.net/video/nit3uOrwRwo/видео.html
You don't need to apply a painters tape to any tumblers/water bottles? Why do other people apply a masking / painters(blue) tape before laser engraving?
Depends on what you are making and what laser you are using. If I'm trying to center a logo on a tumbler I will mark off the spot with tape on my item then make sure the image is within those marks before engraving. You can also engrave through tape with some lasers to reduce scorching. I don't do this, it's easier to adjust your settings.
Excellent video....I have avoided learning how to engrave cups for a YEAR because it seemed so intimidating. You made it look so easy! Thanks!
its super simple especially if your machine has a camera

Excellent video! Thanks!! 😊
My ultra does not show the red cross alignment on my screen. Is this a setting?

Yes you can use the wood blocks, I use those with my original M1 and the RA2 Pro.
Chuck needs to be on the right side of the work space if you have words in your design. Otherwise the words will be backwards.
I have an S1 20W... I still have cold feet when it comes to getting started using mine😅

@SarahVanderkooy
Oh thanks! I was worried I was going to turn it into an expensive paperweight, lol... your help and advice are greatly appreciated
@Ysalomet don’t feel bad I’m in the same boat 😂. Have the S1 also and have yet to get it going but I have taken it out the box so that’s progress 😂

Nice to know I'm not alone, lol😅
How do we know of our settings are too hot or not enough
Sacrifice a tumbler for testing and do a test array. Then you'll know the perfect settings for your laser.
