Could be worse. Marvin got his leg stuck in mud and went on to walk in a circle for 1.5 million years: "He planned to keep walking in a circle for another million years before trying it backwards. "Just for the variety, you understand"".😂
Your creativity is abundantly clear in your projects. Not only the physical manifestation of your ideas, but your world building stories really hammer home how creative you are.
This would make a banger of a book, especially if the personality of the Buster Bot gives off HK-47 vibes from the Old Republic Games- "Yes master, that small winged meat bag you've been watching for has returned to its bacteria-infested breeding grounds to oversee its brood of helpless offspring"
I can just imagine the conversations. "Master, what is our task today?" "Birdwatching" "Ah excellent we are surveying for our later strike!" "No, just watching" "Master, I see a crustacean! I will defend you!" (It's a 2" crab)
Poor dude who ended up with the can opener bot is probably being overrun by crustaceans, screaming at customer service on the phone, and demanding immediate evac.
Love the build and love the back story even more. Poor war robot--forced to forever watch birds on a backwater planet. I can imagine a movie where it eventually bonds with its owner and comes accept its fate, only to have to remember its original function when an unexpected threat suddenly arrives on the peaceful world and threatens the humans and wildlife of the place.
Megacorp CEO: _"So the only thing that prevents us from turning this backwater planet into a huge galactic golf field is a so-called 'wildlife preserve' for birds? Just send a black ops team and kill all the bloody critters!"_ Robot: _"D- does that mean I get to combine my primary function as a warbot AND my main 'obey your owner' directive?"_ Owner: _"Jay, since when can bots weep single tears of joy?"_ Jay _[doggo equivalent of breaking out the popcorn intensifies]_
So good! And I imagine the very tip of this unlucky bot’s sword to show a few small scratches, as he’s been required to use it to open canned fruit, vegetables and baked beans 😢 Thanks for another great build Boylei!!
I Love this! The bot... the shipping error... the man and his dog. The made-for-war bot stuck bird watching on a peaceful planet. Now that's fun. 🥰 Excellent story! Excellent diorama!
I enjoy the lore almost as much as I enjoy the crafting of your models. Great work pal, keep up! I do feel ta little bit sorry about this robot, but I really feel VERY sorry about the poor can opener that was send to war...
Now I want to hear the story of the unlucky human who ended up with a can opening robot in the middle of an intense war zone. Imagine going up against something like a Gundam equivalent with an over-glorified can opener.
If you take suggestions on dioramas I suggest making an ice lake maybe in the mountains with some sort of monster lurking beneath the ice watching people that are ice lake fishing or ice skating or even just traveling, I think it’s a really neat idea that I don’t think you have done yet and has a lot of potential and freedom for creativity! And I also just love a good resin underwater creature diorama from you
"The guy who originally ordered it selected 'distressed' when choosing from the sword trim packages" caused me to exhale out of my nostrils slightly faster than I usually do. Well done.
Once again you went above and beyond Mr. Boylei - thank you for the link to everyone's build. A-FREAKING-MAZING!!! This build series has kept my attention all day! Thank you Bill Make Stuff, and to each and every contributor for sharing your creativity, process, humor, insight, and did I mention entertaining? Yes, entertaining! I hope y'all will make this something of a regular/annual sort of group enterprise. Very clever concept, extremely diverse results, however - most of all - and Ms. Whittle Goblin said it best - I found a whole new bunch of channels to subscribe, like, and continue watching. Keep up the GREAT WORK!
Pour little war battle bot, sentenced to a lifetime of peace. But still a very cool build. Weird seeing one of your videos pop up on a Thursday, but happy to see it. Love how you made it float/hover with the hidden wire very cool. Great job as always. 👍👍👍
This is what I love about this kind of challenge; everyone can have different interpretations of a similar prompt. I love what you did with the "unlucky" concept!!
I choose to believe the guy who got the can opener saw the pun, decided to roll with it, leveled the robot up a bit, and is now stalking the battlefields with his custom crab opener.
Guy: *Orders Can-Opener Robot* *Gets Sword-Wielding Fighter bot* Guy with same last name: *Orders Sword-Wielding Fight Bot* Can-Opened Bot: “It might seem crazy what I’m about to say-“
THIS IS SO COOL Also saw that my original idea was stolen by some weirdo bot so I’ll say it again here: Model idea: Would love to see a giant horned lizard spewing eye blood at some travelers or even a mule or something(although that may be too much).
Is anybody else getting an image of this robot with his owner just floating in a zen-like fashion on a calm forested planet while a soldier is using his much smaller can opener robot as an improvised anti-gravity skateboard and flying through a battlefield at full speed while performing skateboard moves with Initial D music playing?
I have to say, after watching most if not all of the bot bash videos, your's is my favorite by far! I love the simplistic nature of the bot... while also conveying an overall look of pure death.. None of them birds the birdwatcher is watching better fuck with this guy, his Bot Bashed robot of Death will cut down any menacing bird that might get in his way.. Maybe he's watching terrifying birds of prey from a distance, and he needs his menacing sword toting bot to protect him.. that would be a lucky version of this story I suppose lol Very well done my friend!
Great build, as always! It's sad for the bot that there's no war, but on the other hand if war ever comes then Jay and his mate will be the best prepared people on the planet I should think! Thanks for the video!
Aww. Didn’t even give the birdwatcher a handrail?!? And the poor little mutt, confined to 1 square foot of metal grating with all that lovely grass to run in?
Having devoted a considerable amount of hobby time to my own bigbotbash bot (which also had “buster” hands!), I can only marvel at your interpretation and execution. Always a pleasure to watch your videos, but this time the mood explanation was just plain awesome, thanks for sharing!
It's a peaceful backwater planet in the mid-Empire ring, far from the frontier and the battle with the Crustacean Nation. The bot becomes accustomed to its role as companion and transport, though it never forgets its original purpose. Which is why, when the Crustacean Nation's early attack force probe got knocked off course and landed in the protected wetlands, it was the only one to notice and take the threat seriously. The film about a scrappy bot from a distant conflict saving a small village of pensioners from an invasion is a block buster waiting to be written. Edgar Wright directs, Simon Pegg stars as the birdwatcher, Nick Frost is the local constable who in his youth, served on the front lines and he's been waiting for this day longer than the bot has. Patton Oswalt narrates from the Dog's POV, who can communicate with the bot. The bot is voiced by the Rock.
Absolutely insane how consistently good those D20 rolls were though?? All but one over 10. Boylei is one of the mighty few to be blessed by the dice gods I think.
I really love it. I'd buy that as a kit if it were one. I can't help but want the robot eye part to be facing down as if the robot is either sad or depressed its not raging into battle and instead just servicing as a ladder for man and his dog. I think I'd want a bird or two on the robot just hanging out to sell the story more and maybe some bird shit runs where the birds like to perch a lot heh
misplaced warbot will likely still see more combat then expected for a backwater planet, all natural locations have some kind of apex predator and it all comes down to whether humans appear as something to avoid or something to eat
Sooo after watching this this morning, I went to Bob Making Stuff & jumped onto the Playlist and when I got to yours, 7th on the list, I just had to see it again! I also found a couple of artists that I just had to subscribe to😮!
honestly as unlucky as it might seem in the moment, I'm already imagining a series based on this where the robot comes to love its slow life and grows beyond its war programming to achieve true sapience, something that the company that made it has never been able to accomplish before now
The head reminds me of a personality core from Portal. The arms being over the head makes me think of one of the bots from the Portal 2 co-op mode 😅 Poor bot XD If bots can get bored, he's probably bored out of his processor
“What is my purpose?”
“You’re a platform for bird watching”
“Oh God”
🤣🤣
I was thinking the same thing.
Yeah, welcome to the club, pal.
Could be worse. Marvin got his leg stuck in mud and went on to walk in a circle for 1.5 million years: "He planned to keep walking in a circle for another million years before trying it backwards. "Just for the variety, you understand"".😂
Dan's brother thanks you for taking part!
Your creativity is abundantly clear in your projects. Not only the physical manifestation of your ideas, but your world building stories really hammer home how creative you are.
This would make a banger of a book, especially if the personality of the Buster Bot gives off HK-47 vibes from the Old Republic Games-
"Yes master, that small winged meat bag you've been watching for has returned to its bacteria-infested breeding grounds to oversee its brood of helpless offspring"
As a corgi owner myself, I highly approve of the little corgi addition! Not to mention the bot is awesome
I can just imagine the conversations. "Master, what is our task today?" "Birdwatching" "Ah excellent we are surveying for our later strike!" "No, just watching" "Master, I see a crustacean! I will defend you!" (It's a 2" crab)
I can hear that said in a Renfeld breathy voice😂! Yesss Master, wood there bee any thing elssse😮?
Poor dude who ended up with the can opener bot is probably being overrun by crustaceans, screaming at customer service on the phone, and demanding immediate evac.
Nah, the can opener robot is horrifyingly efficient at cracking open crustaceans. After all, what are crustaceans but organic cans of meat?
A natural 20 on your first roll?... the world of RPGs calls to you, Mr. Hobby Time.
The sacred geometry calls to him
Love the build and love the back story even more.
I would watch that movie, sounds limbs
"War robot forced to watch birds on a backwater (village)"
Sounds like Shale from Dragon Age: Origins. Only she hated the birds. With a passion.
Better to be a warrior in a garden, than a gardener in a war I guess!
Megacorp CEO: _"So the only thing that prevents us from turning this backwater planet into a huge galactic golf field is a so-called 'wildlife preserve' for birds? Just send a black ops team and kill all the bloody critters!"_

Owner: _"Jay, since when can bots weep single tears of joy?"_
Jay _[doggo equivalent of breaking out the popcorn intensifies]_
This sounds like the perfect kind of movie to cry to. Almost like The Iron Giant or something. I'd for sure watch that movie if it were to be made!
So good! And I imagine the very tip of this unlucky bot’s sword to show a few small scratches, as he’s been required to use it to open canned fruit, vegetables and baked beans 😢
Thanks for another great build Boylei!!

I do feel ta little bit sorry about this robot, but I really feel VERY sorry about the poor can opener that was send to war...
There might be lots of metal armor to open😊...
@@marshawargo7238 or crustaceans to crack open.
Now I want to hear the story of the unlucky human who ended up with a can opening robot in the middle of an intense war zone.
Imagine going up against something like a Gundam equivalent with an over-glorified can opener.
Perhaps another build in store😮?
I like how you used what's originally a leg armor as a pauldron. But what really does it for me is the little ladder on the back. Superb detail!
That black 4.0 is blacker than sin.😲
The end result looks great! love the outcome of how the robot looks, I'll definitely have to try the sword hovering effect.
Love the floating effect and the paintjobs
"The guy who originally ordered it selected 'distressed' when choosing from the sword trim packages" caused me to exhale out of my nostrils slightly faster than I usually do. Well done.

Randomised bot is such a cool idea! I saw something similar with "mythological creatures" but it was just type, colour, theme.
Great work as usual!
The design and story feel like something straight out of "Love, Death and Robots". Really amazing!
Pour little war battle bot, sentenced to a lifetime of peace. But still a very cool build.
Weird seeing one of your videos pop up on a Thursday, but happy to see it.
Love how you made it float/hover with the hidden wire very cool.
Great job as always. 👍👍👍
What a lovely, clean build. Pleasure doing this along side you my friend!
This is what I love about this kind of challenge; everyone can have different interpretations of a similar prompt. I love what you did with the "unlucky" concept!!
Your robot looks so neat! The spherical eye ties the look together. It reminds me of the personality core robots from the Portal games.
I am so impressed with how much he looks like he’s floating. No sag or anything. Well done!
I choose to believe the guy who got the can opener saw the pun, decided to roll with it, leveled the robot up a bit, and is now stalking the battlefields with his custom crab opener.
Guy: *Orders Can-Opener Robot*
*Gets Sword-Wielding Fighter bot*
Guy with same last name: *Orders Sword-Wielding Fight Bot*
Can-Opened Bot: “It might seem crazy what I’m about to say-“
Wow, what a unique interpretation of the Bot Bash prompts. I'm on to the others. Much appreciation and respect for your work!!
Love the way it "stands afloat." Really cool bot and nice to see something a bit different on the channel!
This is great! I really feel like you can make an incredibly artistic build in any genre.
Awesome to see a collab with some of my favorite youtubers. I love all the dioramas you make!
A very pleasant surprise to see one of your video drops on a Thursday! another awesome build! Thanks for sharing, C. -Rick, USMC
THIS IS SO COOL
Also saw that my original idea was stolen by some weirdo bot so I’ll say it again here:
Model idea: Would love to see a giant horned lizard spewing eye blood at some travelers or even a mule or something(although that may be too much).
I love the stories that go with the builds. So wonderful to watch.
Great to see you join the Bot Bash - Bill's creative voice is SO unique, and seeing you join in on this with your art style is awesome.
That's dope! love the hidden stand wire. Love these cross overs.
'Dan's brother' hahahaha
"I desire WAR."
"Here's a Warbler"
"No. Murder."
"There's a murder of crows over there"
"...audible frustration."
This was a really cool build, that shadow is a great touch.
Really gives me Final Fantasy VII vibes.
Top tip...you can use stainless steel TIG filler rod for an even stronger support. It's prett cheap and comes in all kinds of diameters
The MTG card Beast of burdens is my favorite art. This creation encapsulates that vibe 100% amazing
Can just hear the Bot's lament, "I could have been a Death Star!"
what would have been neat is weathering on the sword in the lines of grass, leaves sticks etc to show the guy has the robot making paths for him...
We should see Jay actually piloting a robot, I think it would look super cute!
Somewhere out there is a kitchen can opener bot just absolutely going to town on some war bots chassis.
Great build, as always! It's sad for the bot that there's no war, but on the other hand if war ever comes then Jay and his mate will be the best prepared people on the planet I should think! Thanks for the video!
I cry for the Buster bot. Rest in Peace, bot, even though that's the last thing you want.
So far this is my favorite of the Bot Bash. Well done.
Incredible work as always man, super clean build methods and an awesome final piece. A pure joy to watch it all come together. 🙌
"Statement: I crave war"
"That's nice"
"Query: May we go find a battle?"
"No, but i do need another can opened"
"Statement: I will rend it asunder!"
Love the story. Love to hear the other person story and see the bot.
Great looking build, I really like the floating effect. I'll be checking out the rest of your stuff now.
And again: Fantastic! The combination of building process and backgroundstory is very good.
Damn, I thought the 'unlucky' would be the dog getting skewered.
this might be one of your best work mr boylei. Both because of the scale and the unique story.
And another big reason is that you included a dog.
It would be cool to see another hovering robot using magnets in the base to keep it floating
G'Day to you again! I think Bird Watching could turn into a very Medieval Rumble "I saw the Lesser Yellow Thrusel First!"... "No I Did!" 💥
This is, by far, my favorite creation of yours! Amazing I love everything about it
This robot will learn to appreciate peace and quiet.
glad you got involved with the bash my dude.
It has a bit of a Marvin vibe with that big ball head so unlucky really suits it
You know man...i just realized you're the only channel i actually watch the entire video instead of skipping...
Good job.
Really enjoyed this BotBash and backstory. If you ever want to give your creation a new home, please DM.
Some prairie thief: *opens the window at 2am*
Robot: Oh my fucking god it’s time
super great video thanks for taking the time to make it. and also great diorama, too.
Dang i was so ready for the castigator.... ill just have to wait!
Not even watched the whole vid yet but i'm sure its smashing, always is. much love.
Aww. Didn’t even give the birdwatcher a handrail?!?
And the poor little mutt, confined to 1 square foot of metal grating with all that lovely grass to run in?
I love the stories behind your creations.
That was amazing, truly happy those bits came in handy 😻🤘👍
I love your wacky ideas. I even feel bad for our poor forever-bird-watching-but-wishing-for-battle robot
For you tacky glue use tile adhesive some stuff but bulk and cheaper made to be easier to remove carpet tiles easier to replace . Comes in 4ltrs
been waiting for the 3.0 vs 4.0 comparison for months!!
7:00 it's a michigan bot. No explenation needed.
Having devoted a considerable amount of hobby time to my own bigbotbash bot (which also had “buster” hands!), I can only marvel at your interpretation and execution. Always a pleasure to watch your videos, but this time the mood explanation was just plain awesome, thanks for sharing!
So glad robots can't harm themselves or Unlucky would self-destruct. Great build and a great story.
This is great! I really feel like you can make an incredibly artistic build in any genre.

Thank you so much for the story. I loved it. But to my mind, the robot was actually quite lucky. He just hasn't realized it yet. Peace.
Now I want to see what the Can opener robot looks like
This came out absolutely amazing Boylei. Well done and stay craftin.
I really love it. I'd buy that as a kit if it were one. I can't help but want the robot eye part to be facing down as if the robot is either sad or depressed its not raging into battle and instead just servicing as a ladder for man and his dog. Thanks for including a Welsh Pembroke Corgi !
Love the robot design and his backstory!
What a brilliant story, it works so well. Poor bot.
misplaced warbot will likely still see more combat then expected for a backwater planet, all natural locations have some kind of apex predator and it all comes down to whether humans appear as something to avoid or something to eat
Awww poor war bot, stuck being a bird watching platform. 😢
Great build, loved the backstory!
Sooo after watching this this morning, I went to Bob Making Stuff & jumped onto the Playlist and when I got to yours, 7th on the list, I just had to see it again! I also found a couple of artists that I just had to subscribe to😮!
Great video. Imagine that single eye will glow RED….
“Sorry, can’t do that Dave”

Man, this looks great! Also, it's interesting to see your interpretation of "unlucky", cause I've rolled the same. Nice work! 👍🏻
What an awesome interpretation of the scope! Nice job!!! I want to buy it just for the memory of the story.
Yes, the pathos just gives it that extra affect.
Bonus points awarded for the addition of Jay the Corgi!
Nice final product! Well done Mate!
Beautiful build
