I agree! Not relatable! I don't mind the mum talk but it's much cooler when a speaker take a look at the audience and try to connect w them versus going with the just me/selfish type of answer.
It also makes sense. A lot of people like to shoulder everything or afraid to talk about their doubts and fears. Aftaid of being judged or showing weakness. So it is also important to surround yourself with that positivity and yes people who are there for you in times when you're in a dark space that you can’t even convince yourself because self love is limiting. I grew up not having a lot of confidence and all my self esteem was crushed by my very own mother. After moving and living with people who reassure me I started to gain the strength and confidence to see that my mothers does not define me. And that’s when I started to learn how to look at myself. So yes it is also important to seek support when you need it. Yes education is important so that you are confident for example in your career but if you have self doubt because people envy you and talk badly about you or feel isolated. That's when we always need to reinforce our mindset and surround ourselves in positivity wherever that maybe. People can still crush your spirit no matter who you are and even if you accomplished a lot. So it's important also to see yourself for you and not just based on how much money you have, education, or superficial things like beauty etc. That’s also how we can get the ahead of ourselves whether if we think we lack or we are better than others.
My mom was the Vice President of her company… one day I called her crying and I asked “do you ever feel like a little fish in a big pond…” or something like that… and she said “Tiff.. everyday!” So, I KNOW I can do this. I have these dreams that just seem so far beyond me… but I came this far from sleeping outside with nothing and people just dogging me! I know I’m one of God’s favorites! I gotta be! I should be dead right with the things I have been through! I’m supposed to be dead.. And now.. I’m going to school for Aerospace. Don’t give up…

I am 25 year-old and I had struggled with people pleasing most of my life after high school. If I was to give myself advice to look back on when I am 30, I would say just silent the whisper of self-doubt, and focus on what and who really matters, most importantly, there is so little youth to waste on people who are undeserving and wants us to feel powerless. Find your own people, and spend the most quality time with them. If you have not met them yet, then keep working hard until you do. And be calm, stop forcing everything and stop convincing your brain of something that isn't real. To summarise, believe in yourself, work hard, have fun and live life to its fullest!
This is an incredibly valuable conversation. I love these women, for sharing all their experiences, and as someone who grew up in a less than perfect world, I truly believe in when Melinda gates said "you knew who you were" back in high school. It's society that tries to break women down, to become compliant.
I watched this interview on CNN. This round was deeply impressive - not only for girls or women. Thank you What struck me most, was the question of Sara Sidner and the answer of Melinda Gates @5:29 WOW . surely valid for girls and boys, women and men. We just have to remember.... and recognize.
Break the wall of impossibility. Very empowering and that we, those who are coming from a different backgrounds should be enough. We are worthy and we are of value.
Anyone can have self doubt. But historically, women, who were always viewed by society in a secondary role have additional challenges that make it a daily practice to nurture awareness, self care and self love to offset the slings and arrows of the outside world. It is required to carve out that time at the end of the day. It is a practice. ✨🌞✨

One of these women sat up there because of her husband's political position. That teaches girl to find the right man to marry, and the world will admire them.
Self-doubt is real in executing dreams and dampens our spirits when intensified by other people's opinions. Thank you, all great ladies, for wonderful insights and lessons learnt.
Every person has self-doubt and insecurities. Whether you are male or female. The trick is, how do you use that to either inspire you or subdue you..
Exactly!
I got a phat cok when I'm down I look at my phat cok and feel better
will we be miserable and die unhappy if we do things that diverge from the so considered 'original' path
This is such a wonderful discussion. Is there a link to the full interview?
Woah I'm in awe with how the way Mrs. Michelle Obama explained it with such a well spoken words
Mr. She is a man. Wake up!!!
Michelle thankyou for your insight 👍
I found it very depressing.
Wow wow wow!!! Thank you ladies one and all! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼✌🏼✌🏼✌🏼✌🏼
I’d say to my 25 year old self that “the future ahead is beautiful and you didn’t need to worry a second.” I came to the United States as an international student but I am now living the American Dream. I created this channel to inspire and share tips with others who are aspiring to be on or struggling on a similar path.
Wow 👏 Michelle's message is just wow
these are the women that should influence young girls and young women's lives, not those "influenshers" and "tiktokers" of those are even job descriptions
If only she were a woman, for starters 🙄
Thanks for helping lift us and each other up ladies. 💪💪😊

Great interview amazing work all of these women do. How inspiring thankyou❤🤗👍
What an intelligent and graceful woman. I believe everyone battles self-doubt with the exclusion of narcissists. I do every single day but I have to hide it.
You are a very weak man to share such thoughts and to take advice from Big Mike.
@@DumbAssSpeakingWithMansVoice Triggered, much?🤓

@@DumbAssSpeakingWithMansVoice you're among the few men who have reached the level of cowardice no man has ever imagined of, attacking women on the internet!. If you're offended by the fact that she looks more manly, there is something wrong with your manliness maybe you should get checked and change your gender, that might sought things in your life
@@DumbAssSpeakingWithMansVoice he's most likely gay. What do you expect? Lol
I am 23 right now writing me while also shedding tears because of how touching each and every sentence was, it was wonderful hearing it from all these amazing ladies ❤
Amal's answer (about self doubt) is such a non-answer lol. Especially right after Michelle's beautiful, authentic and very uplifting advice
I mean I think it's hard to follow something like that especially when Michelle's answer was so complete.
I agree! Not relatable! I don't mind the mum talk but it's much cooler when a speaker take a look at the audience and try to connect w them versus going with the just me/selfish type of answer.
Yes it's a downer
Thank you, Michelle Obama, thank you! Please keep speaking up and speaking out. We need you and your message.
Big Mike well spoken. 👍
Michael is sick
Each one of these women not only talk the talk but they walk the walk. God bless each of them. 🙏

My mom was the Vice President of her company… one day I called her crying and I asked “do you ever feel like a little fish in a big pond…” or something like that… and she said “Tiff.. everyday!” So, I KNOW I can do this. I sing to myself “just keep swimming, just keep swimming, just keep swimming swimming… what do we do? We swim! Swim!” It helps..

A universal message and lesson that is timeless and timely. Everyone experiences self-doubt. However, it is important to keep growing as a person.
I love Sara. I met her and got a picture with her when she was in Seattle. What a great panel and very inspiring. :)
So powerful. Thank you, ladies

I watched this special last night on CNN - quality TV. Michelle is another blessing from our President. Thanks, Obama!

Wow! These women on this stage are amazing. They can literally afford to drop all this and go shoe shopping, but they choose this work 👏
An actual role model. ❤I have no idea what the last 2 first ladies even contributed to society while she's still giving back.
We all battle self doubt. We look in the mirror and we look at the proportions of our body. Battling a self doubt it’s a part of growing up.

Great advice!! ❤❤
He's absolutely right.
To summarise, believe in yourself, work hard, have fun and live life to its fullest!
feel so inspired after listening to the words of these ladies!!!
Thank you for the wonderful message. That inspires me to keep going and just believe in myself.

Thank you Amal for raising Iran women's current issue and situation. Pls keep helping all women as you have been so far
What is a woman?
This is an incredibly valuable conversation. I love these women, for sharing all their experiences, and as someone who grew up in a less than perfect world, I truly believe in when Melinda gates said "you knew who you were" back in high school. It's society that tries to break women down, to become compliant.
She also said the next ones really going to get their attention this time....they are going to release another virus.
What a beautiful lovely woman she is and my favorite first lady!

Break the wall of impossibility. Very empowering and that we, those who are coming from a different backgrounds
should be enough. We are worthy and we are of value.
Hello 👋👋👋👋
Whatever age you are in. Self-doubt can always happen. It’s not just young girls …!
Anyone can have self doubt. But historically, women, who were always viewed by society in a secondary role have additional challenges that make it a daily practice to nurture awareness, self care and self love to offset the slings and arrows of the outside world. It is required to carve out that time at the end of the day. It is a practice.
✨🌞✨
Every one is a Victim, we care for people based on Victimhood now I guess.
No it dont you are a protected class with more rights then men you don't have to do nothing and will still get a job based on your sex and not your skill or find a simp that will take care of you. Women in America are put on a pedestal while men are treated like expendable trash
Victim hood at its finest
So timely and on point!
So much wisdom there 💜🙏
