This is exactly how you should handle a technical fault as a CA, giving details about what has happened, letting the viewers know that the game hasn't kicked off yet, which although sounds obvious, is vitally important especially when broadcasting a sports match and good for those who have only just tuned in. Much better than just repeating the same garb from the slide and then playing some music.
I love that little moment where the screen's gone black and the little "We apologise for the vision problems" caption is on screen. Understatement much? ^^;
