FIXED OnVue frustrating technical network connection issue SOLVED

    I was looking for a video on youtube to solve this problem and I couldn't find. so after I solved it I decided to share it with you.
    Follow the steps from the video.
    Also make sure to turn off any VPN you use.
    Hope it helps. Leave a comment if so. Like the video
    THE ISSUE:
    Video streaming connection results and requirements:
    Your home/office network failed to connect to the required video streaming service.
    The streaming connection requires that Wowza.com can be reached as well as a stable connection of at least 1mb upload and download speeds.
    How to connect to our video streaming service:
    Contact your network administrators and ensure the following:
    Any network filtering software is disabled
    WebRTC WebSocket connections must be allowed to *.*.cloud.wowza.com on TCP port 80, 443, 1935.

    I saw this error happens when you're using yesterday's code. Turns out all you have to do is go back and click the Run System Test button again, it gives you a new code, I also redownloaded the file for good measure, ran just fine. Good luck!

    This worked. Even in Google Chrome. I was messing with the windows firewall unnecessarily. Thank you

    I don't know who might need it but I found a way to fix the one on Mac
    1. I tried the first time and I noticed my internet was bad so I changed it but I kept getting the failure to connect to the streaming platform
    2. Next I restarted my Mac and generated a new code for the onVUE
    3. Inputted the new code and I was able to gain a connection
    Try it and let me know if it works

    Spoke to 2 PearsonVue support people
    First one told me to wait until exam day then try again and insisted that it should work
    2nd told me reboot and try again and couldn’t offer any more advice. Thanks for making my life easier by sharing this

    I could troubleshoot this issue by disabling the firewall on mac and restarting Vue with a new access key, thank you so much for your video!

    Hey guys I was having a lot of problems. What helped me was double checking the code. It sounds silly, but I thought it copied over the correct code and it helped. And using this video too...

    Adding another tip for anyone trying last minute like I did.
    After you verify your mic and cam, go to speedtest and start a speedtest and while it is running, click next on the personvue to begin the app's speedtest. Somehow it 'helps' to get the speed up I don't know how.
    Also did this while downloading the exam documents and it also sped up the download.

    Guys, I figured the problem, this happens when you reusing the system TEST CODE, remember to only use code only once for every system test. New code for a new system test. 😮

    I have solved this problem. I have installed OnVue on another laptop too test. After that I have used another laptop an run into this problem. My solution was to empty the Temp folder on Appdata/local/Temp folder Afer that on my other laptop it worked even with Firewall enabled. I have launched the app with the mail and code en starting up the app in the process.

    While performing the secure browser test, it shows to remove usb storage devices. But, I haven't connected any usb devices then why is this happening??

      Same here. I have taken other exams with comptia via onvue but this time it keeps telling me that I have a usb attached. Even when I disconnected my mouse and power, it still says that. I had to reschedule. How was yours fixed?

    I am having issue at network download speed - my connection has 40/50 mbps but it is failing again and again saying speed is 4.74mbps. I have turned off firewalls as well no luck. Had to reschedule 2 times.

    I can always pass the System checks, but when it comes time to actually do the mandatory one before I can enter the exam the video streaming connection always fails. I don't understand why. I'll have to give this a shot for my next rescheduled exam.

      Did they Resched your exam when you failed the system check ? Since I am in a bit of a pickle right now. I got my scheduled exam yesterday and my Laptop passed the system check before the exam day. Then when my scheduled time arrives the system check failed and they marked me as a "No Show' and I am currently talking to there customer service and I am worried that I will be paying for another exam. :(

      @@dennisulmer4649 only 2 reschedule allowed, after that they will refund your fees and you have to reschedule the again by paying the amount again

      @@dennisulmer4649 Sorry for the late reply. Yeah, I was talking to chat support about 15 minutes before my exam was supposed to start. They didnt try to help me fix the issue at all. They just rescheduled it to whenever I wanted to retake it.

      I had the same issue. Called OnVue support and they could not offer any advice at all. Just told me that they can only reschedule the exam.

    I think the main issue is just the access code , go the pearson dashboard and run test that will generate a new access code

    My problem was that network adapter configuration had set ipv6 enable, so i just disabled it.

    the error I keep getting is on the Internet speed result section . all the other sections are in green . i tested my internet connection and it shows 25Mbps.I tried your solution but nothing changed. Please help I have an exam this afternoon.

    Thank you but this explanation does not fix the issue (at least not for me). For some reason the network check only works ONCE each time you download and run a fresh copy (with a newly generated access code). This must be a bug in their software?!!! Lost a lot of time with this... 😞

    For me all the system checks are passing, However, after clicking on the launch simulation nothing is launching and my screen is blocked. I cleared the browser cache and I'm using an updated browser.

    My system test fails whenever it does the video streaming check… and it shouldn’t be my laptop.. because I literally bought this laptop a day ago… specifically for this test… but I can’t even get into it and have already missed a test due to not being able to pass the video streaming check
