My husband and myself watched you guys for awhile. You like him are good hearted guys. He volunteered on the veteran comitee at work for years, rolling thunder 9 years and several fish fries and Christmas parties at our local VA hospital for years. He traveled to Tenn for operation Stand down for homeless vets 3 yrs. I did these along with him and we were blessed with 30+ years. He passed very unexpectedly last week and we buried him today. My heart and world is shattered. So just wanted to say thank you for all you do. He loved watching you guys.
I am so sorry for you loss. I lost my brother very recently and he always got people asking him if he was HeavyD or related to HeavyD because they looked very similar. Anyway, thought I could offer my condolences..

In Reno, Nevada there was a very wealthy man who wandered around downtown picking up coins. I thought he was a hobo just picking up trash. He took those coins to his home and put them in barrels in his basement. When he died they found his basement full of barrels of coins. He died in the late 1970's. He was very old. You did the American dream started a business with your buddy and turned it into a national brand. You don’t hide your mistakes on recovery’s best of luck to all of you .. mad respect
I won’t lie, I just started my business in February, and ran dry, had to pick up a full time job and still do things on the side, I work on semis, and this helped a lot with motivation and I appreciate you guys
I hope and pray you haven’t given up your dream, because working for yourself is an amazing thing but takes a person with self motivation, self drive and mainly self education. Taking the other job and still keeping at your shows these same spirits. Just know you’re being prayed for.
Humble, kind, helpful, empathetic, caring, and God fearing men are things that come to mind when I think of you and your crew. You all are amazing human beings, and you deserve the life you all have now after struggling but never loosing hope. May God bless all of your family's and I hope you guys continue until the end of your time making amazing videos for all of us to enjoy. Much love -Hunter
As a 76 year old I had a hard time getting my head around some of your antics. Watching todays episode explained everything when i thought back to my younger days. Youve come a long way and deserve every last thing you have. Enjoy your show and now have a huge respect for what you have done.
My wife and I enjoyed listening to your story. We live in MT, the "Big Sky Country." We moved from the west with $400 and a 5th wheel trailer. We started in Sidney after getting married and moved around just as you with several ups and downs. I worked as a field logistics mechanic. In many ways we did thebsame thing buying and selling from Gov Liquidation and others for fun. For work...I worked on Hagglund B206, Oshkosh 2518 Snowblowers and Unimogs for a Seismic Survey company. It was crazy fun. We grew slowly but never lost sight of where it all started our beginning. Our home is now in Billings, MT. Thanks for sharing your journey. Maybe one day will run into eachother.
I'm currently in the middle east deployed with the US Army, thank you for posting videos regularly. I am renovating my first home when I get back and you guys give me motivation. I honestly hope to be posting on one of your videos saying "it's done". It will take a few years, but the home has good bones.
Honestly.. crazy story. And the fact that dave just hung around and followed you blindly into the unknown is true enthusiasum. The trial and errors and shear determination to just keep grinding and changing plans non stop and looking for the next thing without a second though is grinding to the max. What a great entrepenurial mindset. For real..
I am a 56 year old grandmother that really enjoys your channel as my grandson that I adopted loves your trucks and other vehicles. Thank you for helping people out as you and your crew are a blessing. I wish I knew about your channel years ago. We will always be watching. I am going to try to get some gear for my grandson and I as soon as I can afford it. Please keep surprising us with all that you do and come up with. God Bless
Ah yes. The usual story of some-one who is "an overnight success". Years of hard work and sacrafice and then you are suddenly an overnight success!! So much respect for you and your crew and what you do. Live the dream!
I cherish my friends like this. As my Dad says we will not be around forever so cherish the friends you have and support them emotionally. So proud of how far you came and the support you give others Your videos are truly uplifting and this one was special because it showed us who you truly are that you also worked hard to get where you came from.
Like Gary Lankford... I myself discovered Your guys show not long after my son passed away in my arms. I was completely lost and lost control of my life. Turning to drugs and partying. I started watching Your show and spent many many hours a day watching episode after episode. Sometimes even watching the same episodes over and over again. Especially when You guys would help search for those less fortunate souls that were taken and lost. I want to Thank You guys from the bottom of my heart... God bless You both
HeavyDSparks. My dad, Jack (RIP) had this absolutely great title for his memoirs. Watching you walking down that road telling us about this reminded me so much of him and his title: The Ins and Outs of the Up and Downs of a Down and Out.
This made me cry. The struggles to be a successful business owner is hard..very hard. You never gave up and that is what the American Dream is all about. Congrats to you!
These videos are long ass hell (which i love) ive watched about 6 without gettin off the couch and alot of these stories about his experiences in every aspect from helping families to personal stuff. The more i watch, i feel good that someone like him is doing what hes doing and this is out of his good intentions to help others 💯
I am only half way through this video and already I see exactly how hard you have worked to get where you are. You two are great guys. My husband and I love to watch all your videos. It’s nice to see how you got your start. When you first start these kinds of projects, most people don’t have thousands of dollars of equipment. It teaches you to be more creative on your processes. As you add tools the things you can do become easier. These are the life lessons that everyone needs to learn. You have come a long way. You are an amazing man with skills we respect not to mention your eager willingness to pay it forward and help so many other people. You my friend are someone to look up to!
I just wanted to say thank you for making my days alittle better. Let me explain I am a Veteran with terminal lung cancer and the bone pain from the chemotherapy is out of control. But watching and dreaming of just once going on a adventure that you all do would be a great bucket list achievement. Well thanks again for all you do and Happy Thanksgiving to you and your families.
Always wondered what segment of this journey would have been the coolest to be a part of, but seems like you always kept things wild and crazy and I’m really pleased with the timeframe I was involved in with you. Thanks for having me as a part of the journey and I’m excited to see what you do next!
I mean what a mouth piece taking for almost an hour. No stumbling no ah ah ah what a great video. These are are really going to make it big. The look the brains the ideas are great.
Hearing this inspires me on so many different levels and makes me really look at myself and think I shouldn’t give up because I’m currently homeless working on starting a buisness out of my suburban struggling between having space for tools or space for a cot. I’ve been homeless trying to make a name for myself for almost a year now.
I started on my own at 15 yrs young and slept in other people's cars living on the streets. Luckily I survived and was taken under the wings of a group of 6 veterans that taught me about life and how to survive. Now at 53 and raised 4 kids all grown living in a section of a national forest and loving life. It's great to see others who never gave up and living their life on their terms and doing good. Hang tough and thanks for sharing your experiences. God bless
I dont know these 2 guys personally, but i got to say they really seem to be 2 genuine good people, i believed they are very blessed, good for them, it really makes me happy to see the goodness they have done and made peoples lives better, May God continue to bless you and keep your happiness bloomimg.

@@ImJiom That's what always made me think they were just scammers. Everything has tons of fake excitement. Everything is the greatest thing ever. How does this fool some many people?
This saddens me a bit, I've only just discovered your channel. I too know what the end of an era is like. I've been volunteering on a computer support site to fix peoples computers for free. I've put in about 14 years to it and another fellow has put in 16 years. We just got news that the server is going to be shutting it's doors. I'm confident that I'll land on my feet - and I have the same confidence in the both of you. I wish you nothing but the best in whatever the future holds. With any luck you'll keep the airwaves alive with your wit and adventures.
I'm going to say it again this country needs more people like you guys. You built something from nothing into something awesome by hard work and never giving up!!
As someone working for the American dream it has been a pleasure watching you share your lives and knowledge with us. Clearly showing it can be done with hard work, knowledge, and a little luck. I wish you all the best with what is next in your lives. God bless
Love the story! I’m currently a missionary in Haiti myself and struggling a bit with what we are living through here but your guys videos inspire me in thoughts on future if God ever takes us into something else!
Holy Cow! Im jist sitting here listening to the whole story and Im realizing Ive been here for the whole thing. I was addicted to Discovery when I was younger and you guys came on. Man youve grown so much, and I ended up losing my 10 year rental in the housing crisis here and was left basically homeless with my child hoping my go fund me helps us get a piece aof land to grow on. Youre an amazing inspiration for me to start building tiny homes to help people! Thank you for everything.
Amazing how much a difference it makes to have a brick and mortar, plus an online business. I worked as a contractor and passed on a few opportunities I probably should've taken, but while I'm not rich, or flying helicopters, ,or able to bless people the way you guys do, I made it and retired. These days, you need to have an online presence to make it. Things have changed a lot in the last 30 years. Thanks for the trip down memory lane. Have followed you guys for a long time now, and it's great to see how much things have changed for you.

Fighting everyday twice as hard to regain what was lost. Love what y’all do! Thanks for the reminder that it is possible!
Only in America can a story like your happen, that's the reason why this country is worth fighting and dying for. Anywhere else in the world you wouldn't even be allowed to have a dream that could reach this magnitude, God bless America and thank you.
I've watched your videos for years and until now never knew your story. Your tenacity, persistence, and motivation is a true example of what makes America Great. Thank you so much for the 'back story.' It gives a whole new perspective to what, why, and how you and your crew do. AWESOME!!
I always knew that hard work brought you to this moment. Having you show and tell was great. I’ve loved watching you help all kinds of folks, laughing, scared when you guys go on those skinny, steep roads and the fear when you were at the cabin. Thanks for the ride!
Helping people out is what you guys are GREAT at! I tried to send Dave a picture of what I wrote about my 84 year old mother, but sadly my cheap flip phone wouldn't do it. Thanks anyway Dave, and keep helping more people. There are thousands more, but you can't help everyone. Have a great Thanksgiving!✌

NEVER give up on yourself.... NEVER be afraid to ask for "favor". NEVER stop problem-solving. NEVER STOP 🤜🏼🤛🏼
Thats business. Ypull figire it jist dont ever loose that dream n keep at it.
Thank you for your hard work, dedication & of course your service!
Must be so nice to have a friend that is on the same plane as you and you're both after the same vision. That's a blessing from God right there!!
Man that’s the truth! Would be amazing to have a friend like that!
Honestly.. crazy story. And the fact that dave just hung around and followed you blindly into the unknown is true enthusiasum. The trial and errors and shear determination to just keep grinding and changing plans non stop and looking for the next thing without a second though is grinding to the max. What a great entrepenurial mindset. For real..

That first throwback photo is so precious. It really shows how far back you two go. Your hard work and friendship is inspiring.

God bless
