@Ed Norton Thats what we did back in my day. You see, a day was another word that described 24 consecutive hours. And 7 days in a row, were called a week back then. Of course we only performed back then, because Chico needed the money. Which was green paper, or coins, that we used to purchase things in my day.

I actually used to watch reruns of those dick cavett interviews when I was young, Gilbert is 100% correct with that impression... you would tune in to see Groucho being Groucho and get... " there was a man who brought milk directly to your house in those days.... you had a box outside your house that was for milk... and that's where the milkman would put the milk...."
I love it when Gilbert slays the room, his appearance where Amy Heckerling's babysitter calls in a second time and he's doing Dracula everyone's in tears.

He kept trying to have Gilbert on. BEGGED him to ease up on the racism. Gilbert wouldn't. Howard had him on for decades and, just like when he said 'cunt' to a crowd of little girls, Gilbert had no self control and NEEDED to say racist things, and sexual things to kids. Howard had NO choice. Imagine being there for Gilbert all those years - even visiting him in the hospital - and Gilbert WILL NOT STOP the Uncle Remus voice. Sorry he couldn't be trusted.

They were totally right about Groucho here. I don't know if it's still on YT, but there used to be the whole clip of one of Groucho's appearances on Dick Cavett. Groucho was on first, then Dick had on Truman Capote, so Dick starts talking to Truman, and Groucho chimes in, and interrupts the conversation even though he had his interview with Dick already...It was really funny, but awkward at the same time. Groucho seemed to be kind of an attention whore of sorts...Couldn't stand it when Dick started talking to Truman Capote.
It was a basic old man impression, that like 5 people appreciated, and he did it on about 20 different Stern appearances. It is also called being a hack.
Howard rips on Gilbert's acting. Dude, we all saw Private Parts... just awful.
