I often like falling asleep to old howard clips at night...the only thing that wakes me up is when it's flicked onto a gilbert clip and his egregious whine invariably puts me in a bad mood. Distinctly unrelaxing and just not funny. The only time he came close to being interesting was when they talked about how cheap he was and stole everything from hotels, and when he was having a baby and couldn't emotionally connect with this idea...but that was all to do with Howard's fascination and not Gilbert in himself. Am I alone here????
Oh, and one time when Beetlejuice was so disgusted with him he refused to acknowledge his presence, while Gilbert attempted to pseudo-impress him with dracula impressions. That was funny. But, again, all cos of Beetlejuice and Howard, not cos of Gilbert. WHAT AM I MISSING?! I can at least usually tell why people might find someone funny, even if I don't. And Howard usually always has a way of making them interesting, even if on their own they are not (like his own staff - who on god's earth could make ronnie or scott salem interesting - only Howard). Yet, Gilbert is the one exception!!!
