My side arm just started... over the course of 2 practices . My coaches put pressure on My to get rid of it because its become a habit. I've been working really hard And Sometimes I just get lazy

I’ve been throwing sidearm for 4 years and I feel like it’s more accurate than when I throw correctly
But my coaches always nag me about it and after a while my arm starts hurting

same situation here, used to sidearm all the time until i realised that in the sense of when you play the game, a wrist flick up to down is way more logical than a side throw which may not always be reliable.

Everyone's arm angle and action is unique to them. I couldn't say for sure whether or not your arm angle is sidearm because its better for you, or if its because you have throwing flaws - it could be either. but, there isn't one single right way to throw.

What if I physically can’t throw over the shoulder? I’m a more of a natural side arm thrower, since whenever I throw over top half way through the throw I get a horrible sting/shoulder pain. Almost feels like bone pain, not sure why.. any thoughts?

Throwing isn’t one size fits all. You could just be built to throw lower. But, you could have mechanics issues that cause your pain up top. Hard to say. If you find you’re interested in a video analysis you can email me through my site.

I need help with my throwing mechanics for overhand and side arm. Is there another instructor or coach that teaches similar to you in the Los Angeles area? I actually live near the Pasadena area. I want to also do drills and footwork drills to throw too.

I'm not aware of any, sorry! My online throwing course is getting a lot of big upgrades right now, would be a good solution if you can't find someone. courses.danblewett.com
