Hola Mike, In the description you put I feel that the answer is very vague, you comment that it is only in hardcore mode and that if you want to get it (I don't know if you mean get it in hardcore or in the other modes) it can only be done through the auction house , but then where did those who sell it at auction get those serpents?
I unfortunately do not know. I don't play hardcore mode so I can't really give you much info. I know the player/streamer creazeblade plays hardcore and has quite a few of them drop. He would be a good person to ask.

you can only have them drop while playing hardcore mode. hardcore mode players sell them on the auction hose to other modes.

If ypu can only get the drop in hardcore how did they end up in standard? Is that peoples hardcore char dieing and being transferred to standard?
They are selling them on the auction house. Selling from hardcore and buying in standard.

It is only available in hardcore mode. If you aren't playing hardcore mode your only option is to buy it on the auction house.

Yep just a rare drop. No specific requirements
This is unique essence they should have removed the % base and make it a selection.
Nah it would be far too powerful that way. It's not meant to be used in every item like it's common.
