Omg! Thank you! Thank you! I had no idea about the cobblestone blocks. I always used rebar upgraded to concrete. This is much less expensive! I mine a lot. The other day I used 10,000 gas, 30some repair kits for the auger, and a long time before I finally hit coal in the burnt biome lol I tend to dig to bedrock and then dig my various tunnels. Do you find it more effective going to bedrock or digging about halfway down? Thank you for this tutorial. I'm sure others would agree that any tutorials you do would be extremely helpful!
I usually find deposits about half way down, I’ll mine the crap out of them then go down to bedrock and mine there. It’s crazy how much gas and repair kits we have to use, almost better just to use the steel pick haha
Mad shout out to ya for the cobblestone rocks tutorial. Ive make some cobblestone frame traps but never knew how to upgrade them. These are going in my next base. Hope you doing good brotha and trying to help keep your watch hours flowing
Appreciate what your doing here, especially for new players on console. This video popped on my feed after seeing tour Sheriff series. a couple of hints for you. Dont scrap the iron ore get more from it than scrap in forge melting and stone shovel works better than stone axe for mining stone early 🙂. Keep up the great videos.
There are sand and stone patches in all bios except desert and wasteland ground look like a pale tan color[ they will not show on map] dig in those spots they will lead to veins under ground each patch will give sand, stone, and iron, coal, Nitrate, lead
Thanks for that! Recently getting back into the game with my roommate and we've been struggling trying to remember everything. Tbh I never knew half of this anyways 😂 never got too far into the game. But excited to put these tips to use. As a suggestion, maybe a farming do's and don'ts for beginners? Soil type, how to improve it, how long things take to grow, etc.
It's better to make cobblestone frames for cobblestone blocks due to leveling up your construction tools.I highly recommend cobblestone blocks vs flagstone which has less block durability
Dug up my first two chests yesterday one came with over 200 9m ammo and another came with 4.1k coins, almost 200 shot gun shells and 79 7.6 ammo so the treasure maps are a big help.
I feel there are 2 different grassland biomes they are slightly different shades of green on the map, one type I've never found lead in, only iron. The other you still get iron in but it also has lead. Burnt lands you get coal underground too
if you want use cobblestone frames upgrade it with cobblestone rocks and it has 1500 health just a fun fact i learned also it only take 10 cobblestone rocks
Thank you for the info maybe you can do a video on how to find gold, silver, and diamonds. Also thanks to you my base building skills have increased ten fold since I started playing this game when it came out on game pass
Depending on you the actual player. When I farm I drop block durability to 25%. I raise my loot to 200%. Then I proceed to run around forest bio looking for groups of stone nodes. Last time I spent around 6 or 7 hours farming got around 12k gp total. Ive done the mining thing it was fruitless. I did it in clay area as suggested to bedrock. Unfortunately I can't locate a wasteland on my seed. I'm told there you can find large deposits of nitrate. By large guy said 10k easy. Get your chemstation on and exploit that 1:1 ratio of nitrate to coal. That 2:2 ratio is heartbreaking lol felt like rust all over again looking for sulfer nodes 🤣🤣🤣
@Spartan85 thanks, I couldn't find your discord link in your about information. Is that a member only thing? I'll search for that video shortly as well.
My pickaxe looks different than yours. Is it a game version difference? And it seems like I get the same results with the stone axe as I do with the iron pickaxe. So what is the main difference? The pickaxe is more expensive to replace so is it really better?
@@Spartan85 No I'm on Xbox One and mine looks more like a hoe than a pickaxe. The first time I crafted it, I thought I chose the wrong thing but it says it's a pickaxe.
Probably a stupid question but I'll ask anyway. Does everyone else's game still crash frequently? And has anyone found a way to fix it? Does deleting console saves and reloading from the cloud work to stop this? I have an original console release on hard copy, I've been told if I delete the game and re-download a digital copy it will also fix it. Just don't want to go through the hassle if it doesn't change anything so any answers are greatly appreciated
I found that if I paused the game and came back it would crash. Sometimes it wouldn't be a big deal but a couple times it was huge. The last time I lost 90% of everything I had done and I was on like day 47! I have since started quitting the game and turning off the XBOX if I was going to leave for any amount of time and it has yet to have the slightest issue when doing so. I am currently somewhere between day 45 and 50 and it has not crashed once.
I have the downloaded version and I can confirm it still crashes, my main save is over day 100 and I probably have 2-3 crashes per in game day, quite frustrating. It had been crashing only once per day for a long time which was manageable but at the point it's at now takes a lot of the fun out of it. Think it often crashes while trying to do an autosave and I have noticed in my main game it seemed to start crashing more the more of the map I had explored
@@Baito009 thanks for the response. My wife and I started a new game recently and have had crashes as well. We have played around with suggestions people have made and so far this seems to be working. I'll walk you through the steps we've taken. We're on Xbox One so this might not help on Playstation. But we haven't had a crash since. The last one wasn't actually wasn't a crash, we were just walking back to base and when we got there a big chunk of data was missing, our base was entirely gone and it was just an empty void, literally nothing there. I immediately went to the dashboard and closed the game. Then 1- We deleted the local save for 7 Days to Die for both of our profiles in case of corruption 2- I went into system options and went into Blu-ray and cleared the persistent storage 3- Held the power button to power cycle the system. Some people suggest unplugging the system for 2, or 5, or 10 mins, they all had different suggested times. Regardless we didn't unplug just held the power. 4- Started the game and synched with the cloud to load our game 5- We have our settings as follows Days are 40 mins real time, 18hrs daylight and 6hrs night in game. Loot respawn is every 5 days Drops every 24hrs We can see distant terrain, minibikes and drops on the map 6- We save and quit every 2 days in game or 80mins real time. We couch co-op so host always quits while both survivors are in game so that both characters are active when the game saves while quitting 7- From main menu we dashboard then close the game entirely 8- Start the game again and continue quitting/saving, then closing from dashboard every 2 days in game 9- I should make note that after the initial power cycle and clearing the Blu-ray persistent storage, we only do that once a day IRL. Usually at night before bed I clear the persistent storage, then hold the power when shutting down so it will power cycle. That way every day we're starting fresh with a clear system. If you want to go the extra step you can delete the local saves and synch and load from the cloud each day as well. But we only did that once when the base was missing in case it was corrupted. Hope that all helps, it kinda sucks doing it but still gives you roughly an hour and a half play time each time and it only takes a minute to save/quit then dashboard so we take that time to grab drinks or whatever before starting again
