I’ve never worked on price and never will, I used to work with a knob head years ago who was unbearable to be around most of the time unless everything was going his way, he used to save time by pissing in buckets and a couple times took a 💩 in one to, couldn’t even take the time to sign in or out. Do what you gotta do in that sense but if you have an accident you are as far as I know not liable for any compensation or anything (I might be wrong on that)
What happens to outside wall being out of plum and out of tolerance? Do they have to tare down and rebuild?
I wondering if they can adjust the tension on the wall ties? I imagine they could straighten it that way perhaps? I’m not builder so only a guess
You wouldn't believe how many bottles of piss are hidden in the stud walls as the price work boys haven't got time to got to the portaloo.
On a new build site in Swindon many years ago a friend of my brothers found a Number 2 (poo) under the floor boards of his new build .
@@laverdajota8089 lol
Absolutely shocking
Used to work with a knob head years ago who was on price did that, couldn’t be f**ked to sign in or out neither for that matter
No 3 Gas pipe, if the gas service comes into the property is plastic it no longer needs bonding new regs
If I can say one thing....
Builders n fitters aren't given enough time on these multi home jobs..it's all bottom line ..dollars before work...
Yr videos are v good and needed..keep posting buddy x
Then its time they TOOK time not wait for it to be given. This is the work of couldnt give a shit cowboys.
So much for modern building control !!
You need to name and shame builders but clearly they have no shame. People are working their nuts off to afford this shit, they deserve so much better.
Needs to be a thorough audit. The blokes doing the work aren't making a fortune and their working conditions suck so I don't think it's their fault. We need proper clarification on the issue.
@@garnhamr in a ideal world I agree but all the audit will do is make it even more expensive crap house. I have done many years on sites and have it up because of standard of work and guys do earn a good wage on site. If you give guys twice the price to complete a task you will never get twice the standard of work it is human nature.
Absolutely shocking boyo
What happens when the brickwork is out of plumb by so much? How can that be fixed?
Either ignore or pull-down and restart. Builder will just say it doesn't effect the structural integrity of the building
It can be easily fixed with a d8 cat or a d50 komatsu
I'm guessing they didn't call you in to do the snagging in Pisa ? I'm guessing thats a bit out of plumb
How do they fix brickwork thats so far out ?
I am new to your channel and quite astonished that Local council building control have not been involved and passed off the approvals steps . Maybe its not their responsibility anymore
Are you joking? The stuff they sign off is incredible. The builder must have properly nice biscuits
@@samjarman3136 Well what you do ot seem to realise is that N.H.B.C ect. carry out the habitation inspection in most areas of England . Would iit not be prudent for these type of snagging companies to forward there findings of failings by those organisations.
It's brown envelopes crooked bastards
Forget shocking, now we are rocking
Absolutely shocking T-shirt’s?
Pay perch and rice you get ?
'Cut it out with a machete' Love it 😂
6 month old loft looked absolutely battered that's mad man
Im absolutely shooked
i need to get my new build checked out asap. found 170 snags so far and thats only the stuff i can see. its the stuff (plumbing, electrical, insulation etc) i cant see the worries me.
Get it booked in! You won’t regret it
Out of all trades I’d say electrics has the least amount of snags due to the amount of testing it undergoes. That might be me being biased as I’m a spark but I’m also talking from experience being on new builds
@@uplightuk8924 I really hope so. so far Ive had 2 dead internal and an external double socket that werent wired, the BT fibre cable was snapped in the wall cavity. ethernet ports also needed rewiring. a wired doorbell that well wasnt wired. extractor fans not connected. its been the house that jack built.
@@gazman7579 you probably want to get someone to check your head out too, must be something wrong if you'd buy a UK new build
@@greenreaper1985 i blame the wife.
So what happens next where the brickwork is out by 19mm knock it down and start again ?
How do they pass the CML
Which place is this?
I blame managers, they're tasked with trying to safe as much money for people higher up. They should be hiring quality people instead of cowboys. Great video !
Well actually the hiring of sub-contractors is under the remit of a Q.S. not a site manger. Every day is a school day eh!
Where is the architect and Building Control?
Thing is, with the wall out of plumb, I bet not a single one got the builder to do anything, as the solution is to knock it down. Far too late at that point. shocking.
100mm of topsoil?
Where did the other 300mm+ go (along with all the rest which was removed where roads, houses & drives now sit)?
Flogged off for cash to line someone's pocket no doubt.
I was working in some new build flats, and, the kitchen applicance bloke was in, the site manager walked in and the appliance fella went "Right, I've done 23, 24 but cannot do 25...", straight away the site manager was "But it's getting CML'd on Friday", the fella was like "Yeah, but I cannot do it beca", site manager "It needs to be done because it's getting CML'd on Friday", so the appliance bloke was like "Will you let me finish, I cannot do it because there is no appliances for it on site!"
Site manager goes "But it's getting CML'd on Friday"
The poor bloke just looked at me with one of them 'Am I talking to myself here' looks, totally bemused grin in a 'Is he taken the piss?' way! :D
Totally pissing against the wind... I just burst out laughing because I see it all of the time, and this is what CML's do, I mean, it all means f*** all really, because if it did, we wouldnt see these videos, unfortunate thing is though, the thing that should protect new build home owners is actually generally down to why they are so shite... Once that CML date is set (And sometimes moved forward for no reasons at all) [AKA just dropped on everyone], 9/10 the shoddy workmanship occurs because noone then has the time to get their work done properly, it's just slap bang wallop... Push push push!!!
It seems to me that in the most part, onsite management get told from faceless wonders from head office when a plots CML is, and site management daren't move the date back without getting a bollocking.
It's worse in December with the run up to Christmas, because CML's are the basis of peoples bonuses, so they try to chuck as many through as they can, it's brutal and OMG, does some absolute shite get through.
So little tip, if your looking to buy a new build that had it's CML in December... Just... Run!!!
Keep up the channel mate! Just a quick one if you get a chance mate but have recently brought a new build house and our neighbour has been moaning about noise more or less since we moved in which was like 6 months ago but long and short of it he said he can here when we go up and down stairs , if we’re washing up and general noise just wondered if you knew what the cause might be between the parting walls if get chance to get back to me that would be great
Stay safe
Cheers
Tom🤙🏼
@Manny Ribera yeah think you could be right mate was there anyway to resolve the issue?
The fence is the best one 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Always wonder when I see brickwork out by that much what the outcome is. It’s not like you can knock it back plumb it either has to be pulled down or the client accepts it and a cash offer? I would personally refuse the house.
Unless customer inspects it for themselves they will never know. Very rarely does anyone check.
snagging is bits that have been missed ..this is pure sh*t workmanship
Never buy a house built after 1965. Thats when it went south . The timber framed rot boxes of the Seventies. They used to refuse to mortgage timber frames!
Shocking.
Absolutely
Cheapest contractor wins the bid, absolutely shocking!
Valley set in roof not fitted correctly, no bracing at node points and couldn’t see what actually was supporting the valley truss as there should be bevel cut timbers nailed down to main truss roof to support valley set truss. SHOCKING
The problem is, must people would not have a clue sadly, but these are worse then shocking, some of these could render your house unsellable!
How the hell do they level the house up 😂 knock it down and start again. Talk about cowboys 😐
the gas pipe doesn't need a earth wire to it if the incoming pipe is plastic learn the regs
@Paul W And is the incoming pipe plastic? No! looks copper to me.. Moron.
The incoming pipe is in the bottom left hand corner the plastic pipe is connected to the brass nut and will be plastic on a new build so not requiring a earth bond as there is no potential present as specified in bs7671. Are you a qualified electrician to be saying this is a fail?
@@paulw8707 I can't see what type of pipe is used on the left side of the meter as it's in a black plastic conduit & only the brass nut is visible, The pipe on the right side top (the one he zooms in on) is copper & therefore would need bonding.
@@Stef1487 no it wouldn't as the copper pipe is not buried in the ground no greeting any potential do you understand what the earth bond is for. It is there for when a metal pipe buried in the ground could provide a better path to earth than the installation, this bringing them to the same potential. Hence when the incoming service is plastic this can not conduct electric. coming from a 18th edition electrician of 15 years how are you qualified in this field!!!
@@paulw8707 I suggest you go and relearn your trade then mate, I'm a chippy and seem to know more about earth bonding than you do!

Most new houses will struggle to last 10 years
Some poor work although you can chuck wallplate straps in the skip for me. The garage roof has over a ton of tiles on it if thats gonna lift off we are all in the poop!
This is the type of rubbish that gets sold to the poor unsuspecting customer and these developers don’t care at all, the industry should be quality controlled by a reputable body and laws.🌹
Absolutely shocking
Absolutely shocking....
The builders should be heavily fined by the NHBC and loose their NHBC certificate for allowing this .
It’s disgusting to do work like this .
And what about the N.H.B.C. ?
@@jimmyc974 just thinking about it again , the NHBC are a waste of space
NHBC warranties are absolutely worthless......
Unfortunately the site team are under massive pressure to get plots finished in time scales that aren't realistic.
The biggest thing that’s contributed to the problems is tradesmen working twice as hard for a little bit extra.
Shocking
At some point it’s just not shocking anymore. Maybe it would be if you found a dead clown in the wall or something
As a qualified Clerk of Works I am astonished and bewildered and experienced first hand the poor standard of workmanship being presented and site supervision, the question is the NHBC have laid down set standards which are aligned to the NBS and Current Codes of Practice with this in mind why are the NHBC Inspectors turning a blind eye and not picking up the blatant defect's and none compliances? it's giving the good trades person in the industry a bad name.
The industry needs Government certification of competence for the trades with in the industry and the developers and contractors should be monitored to ensure that they meet the current standards and penalised if they fail.
One, not all will be overseen by N.H.B.C . Two, no follow up by anyone reporting failings of N.H.B.C. or others to local building standards officer. Three , the "governments" decided the C.S.C.S card proved competence. The best tool is to name and shame using the national media .
Who signs this work off? Like you say, Shocking!!!
I have got no idea why anyone would buy a new build. Way over priced and built by people who are not tradesmen. The real tradesmen you do find are outnumbered by the tits big time.
Hi from tiktok
SHOCKING😃🤣🤣🤣
Pay the correct money simple!
The builders used a Chinese spirit level , without a bubble.
THE COWBOY'S ARE GETTING BETTER IN THEIR POOR WORKMANSHIP.😯😯😯😯😯
Part of the course of owning a persimmon or Hopkins homes they're a lot worse than this.
And those are the better ones😅
Obviously there is always a bigger picture, there any many many reputable builders out there which actually make homes that they are not only proud to have built but would be proud to live in. Never forget this chanel is literally to shame the bad.
Also do you actually have any building qualifications? Just because some of your information is incorrect. And working as customer care for a bulder isn't a qualification....
Only 6 inches out of plum 😢😢😂😂
Hello my English friend. In my country I biuld house. You give may job.
And the joke is these properties will all be signed off as energy rating A
There just ur spare tiles lol
I love watching your stuff.... But being in the process of purchasing a persimmons home...... I'm less absolutely shocking and more absolutely shitting 😳
Now you know what to look for 🤔
persimmon you say....i bought one a few years back.worst thing i ever did.55 issues ....with electrics, water, bracing.a missing door on the garage i paid extra for....leaks in all bathroom appliances.......door frames warped/out of square, guess all the cowboys worked on my old house.
If you are buying from Persimmon, your problems do not end with the house. Check the terms of the ground lease and maintenance agreement.
Persimmon , good luck with that one then!
Do not buy a persimmons house
