It's not that the politicians are stupid, they just pretend to be stupid. They know exactly what they're doing when they make decisions that go against the public's best interest. It's the public who are stupid for voting for them.

@@FRANKIECULLEN-r3g That's simply not true. I'm lukewarm about some aspects of Reform but we need a change, and we don't have many options outside the usual suspects. I'm not a BNP supporter, I'm not an NF supporter (I came within a whisker of having my face glassed by them at an anti-nazi fund raiser in 1979, so don't be so quick to make assumptions). So many people these days seem to need everyone to be put in a neat identity box - labelled, identified - before they can "understand" them.

I believe Sir John to be that rare thing - a politician with principles. One way that we might see change is if he and a few more like him put their efforts into a new party. Putin nevet wanted to invade Ukraine, he didn't even want the Donbass ti join Russia when they asked, he advised the Minsk agreements and their autonomy within Ukraine. The UK, the US and the EU stopped a peace deal early on in 2022 which would have meant Ukraine keeping Russia as a friendly neighbour by just staying neutral. Instead Zelensky, emboldened by the promise of all weapons and support necessary, got power mad snd instead of peace and the lives of hunfreds of thousands of people, opted for conflict. What madness, the ego of one unpleadant individual caused all those deaths instead of agreeing a neighbourly peace with Russia. The cretins? Zelensky, US, UK and EU war mongering, deceitful politicians. Seek the truth Alex and all you deceived Brits who will probably hate my comment. We have dangerous war mongers leading our country and the UK is the most aggressive right now.

But to ban new gas boilers that are 90% efficient in favour of gas fired power stations that are at best 50% efficient represents net stupid. To be dependent on unreliable renewables is net stupid. To have to build more than 200% generating capacity because renewables are not reliable is net stupid. To stop using natural gas and replace it with electricity will require 7 x the current electrical capacity, this is net stupid. To not prioritise nuclear power over renewables is net stupid. To not look at hydrogen powered vehicles over all electric is net stupid.

This nation joined an economic alliance with Europe. The mob that you are a sycophant of turned it stealthily into the political nightmare it is today.
The 17.4 million wanted there nation back, fifth columnists like you clearly do not.

    Remember Redwood said about Brexit.
Europe will come running to the UK for trade.
    Food will be far cheaper.
Every country will want to trade with us.
    We will eliminate migration.
The pound will be the strongest currency in the world.
The fishing industry will be the envy of the world.
We will not lose any industries.
    Our motor industry will thrive.
The EU will collapse with countries joining the UK in great numbers.
All problems of Northern Ireland will be easier to solve absolutely no question about that.
