But to ban new gas boilers that are 90% efficient in favour of gas fired power stations that are at best 50% efficient represents net stupid. To be dependent on unreliable renewables is net stupid. To have to build more than 200% generating capacity because renewables are not reliable is net stupid. To stop using natural gas and replace it with electricity will require 7 x the current electrical capacity, this is net stupid. To not prioritise nuclear power over renewables is net stupid. To not look at hydrogen powered vehicles over all electric is net stupid.
Meanwhile in the real world far away from debates about the economy we find CO2 levels, sea levels, atmospheric temperatures, sea temperatures all at record levels and also the margin of increase of all these things is also by the largest margin ever measured. Huge heatwaves are happening in the tropics and monkeys are falling dead from the trees overcome by heat. So there's nothing to worry about then, we can carry on as normal?
