  • Hi Animators or…wannabe-animators! :)
    Let's continue to explore the the Principles of Animation! In this lesson I talk about Timing and Spacing! ;)
    The lovely female Rig I used in this tutorial is "Alya" by Eyad Hussein eyad.tv/home/ It's a great rig and I suggest you to check it when will be abailabe (you have to wait the first quarter of 2017 :P). But you can fill the pre-registration form on this link and you will receive an email once the rig is ready for download eyad.tv/home/alya_pre_registr...

    Great tutor!
    I really like your teaching method.
    I just would like to ask you to make more "gifs" like that. You know?
    Just to see this method in another shots.
    Something like a hand throwing a stone or maybe punching someone on his face.
    No matter what it could be, just to see other aplications.
    Please, keep share with us.
    Cheers!

    • @iwanttobeananimator-animat5526
      @iwanttobeananimator-animat5526  6 лет назад

      Srinivas Raikar there's no strict rules for this, I usually create the key poses first, and then some breakdowns for my blocking! Actually the in-betweens in 3D are the frames interpolated between your keys😉

    hello I have a question, can you change the duration of the animation once set? I don't understand that concept of more or less pictures. Greetings from Argentina!

    • @iwanttobeananimator-animat5526
      @iwanttobeananimator-animat5526  4 года назад

      Julio Perone Rocholl hi! If you’re talking about the timing: the range of frame to create a movement from A to B...you can change it just by anticipating or postponing the last keyframe (the frame where you finish the movement) moving it back or fourth in your timeline. If you are talking about the spacing (and this is your case I think) you can also change it when you want, what you call “less or more pictures” is the amount of movement there is in that range of frame: let’s suppose you have a ball moving from frame 1 to frame 20 (at 20 it stops completely) if you want to add an ease in and ease out (make the movement starting slow, anticipate in the middle and decelerate at the end to smooth the entire animation) you should manage you key frames in order to have less movement in the first 5/6 frames and almost reach the final pose around frame 15 in order to smooth the transition

      @@iwanttobeananimator-animat5526 Thank you! I understood all!!!

  • @byonty886

    ok, so, timing is how many and in what frames you had to draw the subject, and spacing in where and how to draw the subject in the drawing area. Am i right? Thanks for the tutorial anyway :D

    • @iwanttobeananimator-animat5526
      @iwanttobeananimator-animat5526  4 года назад +1

      Byonty timing is the speed and the rhythm of the animation, how many frames you have between a KEY POSE and another. Spacing is the variation of the speed, so how you pose/draw the character between the key poses, determinating accelerations, decelerations - ease in-ease out

    hey, I am impressed by your videos they are very clear and encouraging. I wanted to ask you in your opinion can I become an animator in few months, I am 35 years old and I am working but I love 3d animation so much and would love to become an animator but not sure if it is possible at that age, and how much time I need to become an animator if I really took it seriously. Thank you so much. Hanan

    • @MicahBuzanANIMATION
      @MicahBuzanANIMATION 5 лет назад +1

      Definitely you can. It takes a couple months to really get a grasp on the fundamentals of animation. Study the 12 Principles of animation and animated at least an hour every single day, and you'll get the hang of it.
      I'm posting 2d tutorials on my channel in case you're interested.

    I think it is a great video with very interesting concepts, but too fast. I think explanations should be more paused because of there is no time to assimilate contents and information.

    • @MicahBuzanANIMATION
      @MicahBuzanANIMATION 5 лет назад +2

      I too found myself pausing the video often. Although, I kind of like the faster pace considering most tutorials are so slow and drawn out. (get it ? DRAWN out! . . . . Sorry lol).

    I like your animation and your videos are good but I feel you have to breath more the timing of the video is so fast it does not give the time to asimilate the concepts.
