      If need to put translation for the lyrics, what the suitable format for the translation (size, font colour, etc.)?

      @jacijackson 3 года назад +1

      Yes! Reflow Editor is the easiest and quickest way to edit the song, label sections, etc. Especially if you're not adding a song from SongSelect (which I highly recommend you do) Right click on the song in either the playlist or the library and select "REFLOW DOCUMENT" This will change your life!

    Thank you for this. My mother is recovering from an acquired brain injury. Overnight, she lost speech, couldn't read or recognise words. Her speech is better but she has aphasia and perseveration.
    Music therapy and singing are tools I'd like to use with her. She remembers lyrics. For her to sing along while looking at the screen could shake something neurologically.
    So I came to youtube to find how to display lyrics to familiar tunes. I guess I could use PowerPoint. But looking for something slicker. You've given me lots of ideas.

    Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Finally, I can replace my long training sessions to train my media team with a single video link that I can have them watch at their leisure. Some days I really wonder where my media team would be without your videos. Keep up the amazing work, Jake!

    Different churches - different styles. I prefer four (or more) lines on a slide. I strongly believe it helps to see lyrics in the context of what's been/will be sung. Many - most? - songs have complete thoughts that span four lines. I understand that all the cool kids are doing one or two, at most, lines per slide, but I'm not a cool kid. :) ... or is that :( ?

      This is what you like and it is neither good nor bad. This is what works for you. I like it too. Or have the color change as you sing.

    As a typesetter I would never use all caps for the slides. Caps and lower case is much easier to read from a distance, and particularly for people will less than perfect eyesight.

    I also like to add a shadow to my fonts. Between the shadow and the outline, letters offset nicely against the background.

    Hi, Jake. This was a great video. I was hoping to see a more in-depth demo of song lyrics in pro presenter. Is there a way to add some kind picture graphic displayed behind the lyrics. Or even a video graphic so it is behind the lyrics? And are you able to show half of the picture or video graphic displayed behind the lyrics so it doesn't take up the full screen and just the bottom or top of the screen?

  • @NJHeart2Heart
    @NJHeart2Heart 4 года назад +1

    Though nicely presented, I found this less helpful because it was Song Select centric which came in with the groupings and it's own file saved in Pro6. Going to search for a video that starts from scratch from just a text file. You might mention "using SongSelect" in your title or description. Thanks for sharing though! Watching yours and others to learn all I can!

    I have a question on the look. My propresentor 6 updated. So all my tags are in vertical format not horizontal anymore. It also makes all the chorus on the same line. You can not use chorus 1 in different spots now. Have you had this issue or any advise?

    Hi, thank you for making this video for how to using ProPresenter. I really appreciate your work, but there is some small quick move that I did not see how it work. If you would, could you teach me how to do it? For example at 8:33 when you put the "forever seated high" on its owe slide. What or which key did you push? Also, does ProPresenter available for typing in Chinese? And have you ever use "Shift Worship" for your slides background? If not, is there any slides background webside that you recommend?
    My home church is rebuilding now and it will be finished in March next year. Now, I am trying to save money for buying this awesome software and to use it with Shift Worship as a gift for when the new church start running. That's why I need to do some research and learn how to use it. This video really helps me to be sure to buy it and use it. I just want to say thank you again.

    Hey Jake, is there a way to change the slide highlight color on the main display? Right now it is orange, the people who progress the slides sometimes get lost because it doesn’t pop out at you. Thanks for your time.

  • @maxsmith1924

    So no matter what song... it always just max two lines per slide? Are there any songs you do that are an exception?

    • @Churchfront
      @Churchfront  6 лет назад

      Yeah that's the way I do it. It really depends on your context and what is easiest for the congregation to sing. Since we automate lyric changes, even with faster songs we don't have a problem with timing. But maybe if you're running them manually it may be better to have 4 lines per slide.

    • @maxsmith1924
      @maxsmith1924 6 лет назад

      BALHGGH.. Im really trying to get away from 4 lines per slide, because it looks so messy. But we dont do automated slides:/
      Also, I cant seem to find the import window that shows up when you drop a song in. All I have to do on our system is drag a song into the playlist and it doesnt give me any options. Were you using an example of bringing a brand new song into the library?

    • @robertdavis4562
      @robertdavis4562 6 лет назад

      Max, Jake used two examples of import functionality.
      1. Importing a song from CCLI SongSelect. If you run on a Windows PC , SongSelect options do not show up in the search field within the library. You can add it to the toolbar by right clicking ans selecting Customize Toolbar. This will give you the options you have have at your fingertips for the toolbar. When you find the song in the SongSelect Library, you can import the song to the library. From there, add it to your playlist.
      2. Importing a song from a lyric source like Google Search. If you want to copy the lyrics from another web source, then you will need to copy the lyrics into your clipboard. CTRL/CMD+"C". Then from the menu at the top, click on file > Import > Import Text from Clipboard > Choose options in the import screen > Import.
      I hope this helps, my brother!

    • @robertdavis4562
      @robertdavis4562 6 лет назад

      It's also important to note that unless you have text copied into your clipboard, the "Import Text From Clipboard" option is grayed out.

      In case you don't see my new comment in the main list. "Different churches - different styles. I prefer four (or more) lines on a slide.
