I'm a middle school student and really like these backpacks. If I were to get one for school would u recommend the standard size or the large? On a given day I would probably carry.... Main, deepest area of the bag: • One binder • 2-3 textbooks for homework • 2-4 notebooks • Pencil case • Ruler Flap with around 4 compartments: • Phone • Anything else I need to bring ( can't think of right now but i guess the large and standard sizes have the same compartment sizes anyway) Pocket in the front: • Again, anything I need to put in there but this doesnt really matter either I guess what im trying to ask is what backpack is deeper ( or thicker or wider ) because I do need to bring many books home from my locker for homework and I want a bag that will hold most of it comfortably. I AM OK WITH HOLDING SOME BOOKS. The Large Doughnut Macaroon was discontinued, so we only have the Standard size now. The Standard Size will likely hold most of your daily items, though you will have to carry at least one textbook (depending on the size of the book). Hope that helps!
SunnyRxse Love I think it would be able to fit four comfortably, but if you're planning to carry textbooks in the bag you might have to carry some books since not all of them will fit in the backpack as well as four binders. 😁🎒
Muji has really nice gel pens , esp the ones with a cap. Uniball and Pilot (JUICE) are other alternatives, though uniball is better (in my opinion). However, if you want to highlight immediately afterwords, buy Energel. I use an Energel refill in a Sarasa Pen and I use them for my notes as it doesn’t smudge after highlighting immediately.
These bags look amazing. I've never had a high-end backpack before. At least, this is high-end for me. I also agree with another person though that I wish thr color choices for the large version was more varied.
It depends on what you need. I’m in college and I walk to school so I like the kanken better because it is about 500 grams lighter than the doughnut and it’s easier to clean. The doughnut definitely seems more stable though. 🙂
I need to get the large one. I work in an hospital and cause I carry a lot of stuff to work I've honestly broken many bags. This looks really good. The kanken bags are to small and even the large ones have no compartment and that sucks. This looks good.
I bought 2 of them the mini one in colour rose and the medium one in peach. They great! I Only wish the mini one shoulder strap would be as same comfortable as in medium size.
To bad all bags nowadays have cheap buttonlocks or even worse, magnet locks, and the buckles are only there for show. Serioulsy, a proper buckle does not take that much of a time or hassle to open. I rather have it take 2 more seconds to open then my stuff to fall out just because the magnet or snaplock gives up. Feals cheap and have a tendency to break after being used for a while. If these bags had real buckles I wouldnt hesitate to buy one because they look great! But now, not so much. =(

I bought the Macaroon Bag in the colour maroon for college. The standard one isn't as big as I thought it would be I will admit. It JUST fits my 13" Macbook Pro with some room to spare for some text books (no more than 2 or 3) Depending on your classes or program you're in, you may want to get the LARGE one, especially if you're in a Health Science program like Nursing etc) unless you plan on getting a locker to put most of your books in.

It will depend on how much you want to carry. For school or a daytrip, the Standard size should be able to hold everything you need. It can carry 3-5 one-subject notebooks comfortably.
I had kanken and that made my back hurt more and I already deal with back problems as is , I've had my doughnut now for 1 1/2 years and it's so much more comfortable and I enjoy the extra pockets the kanken does not have. Im glad I returned one for the other

The large states a "15" laptop". My Dell has a 15.6" screen so doubt it would fit in the compartment of even in the laptop.

if i were to get a traveling bag should i get a mini or standard, i usually pack 2-4 pieces of clothing and maybe my chrome book.

I had kanken and that made my back hurt more and I already deal with back problems as is , I've had my doughnut now for 1 1/2 years and it's so much more comfortable and I enjoy the extra pockets the kanken does not have. Im glad I returned one for the other

It could definitely damage your phone depending on the fall or what you drop on the bag.
