A front harness works very well! It will allow the dog to pull but when they do it pulls them to one side teaching them that pulling forward doesn't work.
Thanks for saving me $30 :) sometimes the best way to get a dog to stop pulling is to tie them to your waist and then just walk. Ignore their actions and make them keep up to you instead of the other way around.
Hi Mike 👋. Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately for me I have a health problem that affects my abdomen so I can't try that idea just yet but when I'm better I will 😃
Cool video! You make it look so simple! Thank you for sharing! One of my dogs was pulling too much too, so I made him like a halter for a horse, he was a big dog and was able to take him for a walk without being pulled. There are products on the market Im sure one could sew, called a "Halti Train" It's where the loop go's around the nose of the dog that is attached to the leash, the loop go's through the head harness, pretty simple design, Im sure you could make one for your dog.
I hate to sound mean but the reason she is pulling is because u either trained her wrong or ur not walking her right and it looks looks like it's because u aren't walking her right
Hi Isabell you're correct I didn't train her to walk on a lead, I did try but I didn't have the resources we have now like RUclips and Cesar Milan. She's 8 so I've had her for awhile. In the beginning of this video I was allowing her to pull more than I do now for demonstration purposes. Shes actually gotten much better.I actually made another video where I talked about it. Not mean just an accurate observation.
How's your dog? Probably, she now gets old enough to be more calm when she walks with you. :) I have 11 months old black lab, my puppy is also dashing in all directions when walking with me :(
Thanks so much for asking. Unfortunately Dannie got really sick in June and had to be put to sleep. One of the worst days of my life. We had 9 great years though.
Sasha Aimey I'm sorry to hear about your puppy. I know you really loved Her. In my life I have been blessed to have wonderful dogs. I hope you get another...
trying to weigh your dog down so she doesnt pull is not how you train your dog how to properly walk on a leash. this is so not cool . im a breeder of mini daCHSHUNDS since 1984 .look into taking her to a training course. as for your sewing and your creative abilities they are awesome. getting your dog trained properly will only benefit you and mostly her.
Great job! Your pup is so cute!

She's so cute. Definitely a golden retriever.
Thanks for this!

Sorry to be a buzzkill, put you shouldnt make one of these by yourself. It can damage the back of the dog..
+Hedda Josefine It is on the shoulders of the dog.....and your point is?
Hedda Josefie no it can not 🙃my dog is a service dog and has a dog backpack and he is fine
It could just be that she's not trained.
ya but you could have said that a little nicer
Why are u telling pet owner and viewers what we obviously already know?
