There is a lot to unpack if he'd just see the forest for the trees.

The punishment for pooping your pants is leg amputation. Seriously, though, the Wanted system in these games is obnoxious. Pushing your luck to see what you could get away with was most of the fun of the older games, now you literally can't even drop an item on the ground without that siren going off.

Try sleeping through your entire sentence. That’s what I did to get out quickly. It meant not doing much in prison because most of the time was spent sleeping but it’ll get you out quicker where you’ll be a civilian and can do what you like. I think you can also get hired to be a police officer once you’re a civilian

Find weight, lift until down to 10-15% (Don't go overboard, or you'll be vulnerable to attacking inmates/guards in transit 3. Go to Hospital and sleep, guards won't tell you to wake up, random NPC's may talk to you, or attack, but it's usually fine. Wake up with time to exhaust energy before lockdown. 4. Lift weights again till exhausted. 5.Return to cell, if you still have excess energy, just jump around in your cell. It builds agility, and you might fall and hurt yourself, which drains your energy, do so till you can sleep through the night. 6.Repeat till you're out. The main take away is, you use weights to exhaust yourself as they're the fastest, sleep to make time go by, and just keep repeating this effort of draining energy and sleeping so the days fly by. Useful strategy for getting that first completion so you can unlock the editor and the police role.

my play through of it was SO brutal… i got my sentence extended from 29 days to 41 and i almost died so many times and someone was trying to kill me literally every single time i entered an area, it was so annoying but i was determined to get out and i finally did after playing the entire day. i can’t say i would play it again tho as it’s not even fun, it’s just constant struggles. and even when i trained my strength up i could barely even damage anyone who was attacking me.
It's weird how much of a downgrade this is from the original one. You could look up ANYONE so long as you met them in the original one. And it didn't have the wrestling empire downside of losing health when you run, and they don't have your body stats on the UI and just, so on. The only upsides is it won't struggle on a modern pc (i may be misremembering, forgot if it was hard time or the old wresting empire that just can't run on windows 10) Only upside is more areas (but smaller rooms hurt that), and escaping actually is a thing.

You can grab people and hold taunt as an inmate to make demands like ask for money or prescribe painkillers if you grabbed a staff member in the hospital. The actions have a higher chance of success and they still respond positively if it succeeds (asking for money also makes them your friend).
good game design and Mcdicky games don't go hand in hand. Witch is why it would be really good to have this feature. Imagine having your arms chopped off because you decided to grab the wrong item

To get the last platinum, all you need to do is hold the controllers with the nunchuck pointed like 30° to the left of the TV and the wii remote pointed like 30° to the right of the TV, and punch the exact direction you’re pointing the controllers since the training minigame is flawed, and also punch 1 immediately after the other when Matt holds 2 mitts at once. He holds 2 at once increasingly more often, so when you’re at 55+ points he will hold 2 up almost every time, meaning that if you get to 50 with no mistakes with like 10 seconds remaining, you very well have a chance still. Because of that 50 (your record) is a lot closer than you think! You can do this! DON’T GIVE UP!
I actually played hard time 3 picked a female prisoner and got into altercation against some gang leader right at the spawn and almost fucking murdered him till he gave up and offered me to join his gang lmao
This is insane, in Wrestling Empire I spent a whole hour throwing my wrestling opponents into the tracks, and the police barely cared, I hope that Matt fixes the Police system here because this seems if you even do the smallest thing you're gonna get tackled by the whole SWAT team.
Its possible i remember on the 2D version sleeping half of the sentence then lifting weights,reading books ,cleaning ect i did the tasks for the guards to get days off ,tasks for the prisoners pay money .i remember having like $15K
