This is an honest review. Y'all will be mad but who cares 😂
B Day, Lemonade, and 4 are still miles better.
You don't need to explain yourself to the Beehive. Why I ❤ your channel; you're honest whether it's good or bad.
I didn’t like that album either and the album cover look like some white power bs.…. I’ll be around for actiii. It’s def not giving country at all and i knew it wasn’t gon be good. I wish she make another R&B album ☝🏾 last time.
It’s ok, it’s your honest review and we like you for that 💜 I just wanna say that is not easy to mix all of these genres and make a great body of work! B Day, Lemonade and 4 are amazing but this Cowboy Carter is an outstanding experience 🐎
The cd 💿 jam
I'm shocked
Dolly Parton is a smart woman!!!! She wrote the song.
Yup and she is a heavy weight executive in the entertainment. Once she writes for you your cooperate relationships expand. which she will need these new roads after her financial split form JZ . Im sure she's been advised to wait until all the investigations have ben handed out. She chose to side with the office side of music and protect her contracts from JZ. Dolly allow it outta good investment.
PERIODT.. enough said!!
Queen Bee won’t be taking Dolly sh!t😂
Right, I’m with Dolly on that part!
Dolly wrote and delivered that song beautifully and it didn’t need to be messed with at all.
Dolly doesn't give credit to anyone and she shouldn't! Not even Whitney! Elvis asked and she said no!
Whitney never asked her for Credit!
@@bobbiking2123who do you think is the original singer of “I will always love you” ?
Both Dolly Parton and Beyoncé share writing credit for Jolene on Cowboy Carter.
@@dlilwonokay? Even dolly said she doesn’t care if people calls it Whitney song as long as she gets money from the streams and shi I didn’t even know it was dolly at first but aye🤷♂️
@@r1ri58 Yeah Dolly's version came out in the 70s.
When she said “this ain’t a country album it’s a Beyonce album”.. I guess nobody was listening
Either way,, It sucks.
Stop! Her label is literally putting it in every Country category it can. 😅
So basically that's just code for not holding this album to the highest standards of the genre? That way it's open-ended? This is so confusing I can't. Maybe you have to really be a hard-core fan of hers for things to just make sense. I'm just not as enchanted by her work as much as I used to be. For me this album was ok. She always delivers with her visuals though & her tours are always a success.
They hate on her so much, of course they weren't listening. Just haters
Not even her fans were listening lol
Girl how is daughter giving Spanish when she sung in italian song…😭😭 anyway
Don't cry about it goofy 🙄
Jolene will forever be Dolly’s song.
Yet, Beyonce is taking Jolene to places on the charts it has never seen.. It will debut in the top 10 on bb while the highest Dolly ever took it was #60 way back when lol. No other cover has been this successful so you go back and listen to grown woman beg another woman to stay away from her man. Btw, Dolly wanted Beyonce specifically to cover/remake Jolene. She said it in many interviews here on YT
@@kingbeyfan2598 All that is nice and all, but she still not getting writing credit for her version of Jolene. And that's that.
@@filmadcamp1512 She is still making money off of it so that is what?… THAT!
@@kingbeyfan2598 You're the one arguing about it because no one said she wasn't making any money. Just that she wouldn't be able to contort the song so she can get writing credit. 🤷♀
There are 26 other songs if u don’t like that one
Mrs Dolly does NOT play when it comes to her publishing.
Yup, that is why she is worth so much
She said sure Whitney and yeah a good move on her end with that deal
Good put Beyoncé in her place.
Rightly so that's one of her known songs
She did the same to Whitney Houston as well
“How many times do you want to contradict yourself in one video?”

@@Lady_K2 thanks, honey! 🍯
Dolly has made the most money in music writing. First with writing for Elvis, second letting Whitney cover I Will always love you. Dolly is no rookie to the games
From the actual writers and producers, to the seasion musicians making it happen, people disregard or forget these names because album credits aren't even available on streaming like that (not in detail anyway).
Dolly didn't even let elvis to take all the rights of her song just cause he wanted to sing the song
Good point!!! I forgot all about that
Dolly said that she didn't mind people calling "I Will Always Love You" Whitney's song because she got the money.
Yes Elvis wanted to sing the song but it was the Colonel who would only allow it with the rights as was his MO.
Beyoncé didn't go to Dolly for the song. Dolly Parton for a few years had mentioned in interviews that she would like for Beyoncé to sing JOLENE, like Whitney did with I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU. Beyoncé later agreed, but she just couldn't sing it in the "begging" theme. Though the song tells a believable COUNTRY story in it's ORIGINAL form, Mrs. Carter had to make it PALATABLE for HER to sing it (like she ALWAYS does). This proves it's NOT JUST ABOUT MONEY with her "song credits." BOTH Queens were in agreement on this version. 💯🎶
@@Pathfinder2992Bey got plenty of begging songs and constantly telling JayZ she’s a badd b*tch despite his cheating sooooo Bey should’ve begged. Bey messed Jolene up. ☕️
“Too hypnotizing” lmao and I’m supposed to take you seriously
When she said she was too hypnotized, and the song sounded eerie and demonic. I knew we weren’t dealing with someone who has all their marbles and then she goes onto list after song that she did like, but says the album is underwhelming.
I’m Sicilian & I have to give her props for nailing my language in the song “daughter” she sampled an Italian opera song called “Caro mio bene” by Giuseppe Tommaso Giovanni Giordani” it’s not a dark song 🤦🏼♀️😂 it’s about longing to be with your lover. He/she has hurt her/him. You have to know Italian to really understand it. But it’s not dark. It just means she’s hurting from the man she loves & wanting it to stop so it make sense that she would put that in her song “daughter” where she speaking of those things. It’s not Spanish it’s Italian. And It’s a very very very old opera song. We Sicilians grew up on it.
❤ I can dig that. I love the Italian culture
Folks who don't listen 2 country...talkin about what sounds country...or not...lol...folks who been black n listening 2 country since 1977...uh....to new trap country that issssssss n has been on the charts....still appreciate Empressive...regarding publishing...split sheets for tracks & track cover 411 is not always congruent...ascap n bmi give $ based on split sheets not what is written on the album cover.
What about the lyrics around it because the song was still dark. What are we talking about she just admitted to murder in the song.
@@mariahc.crawley884yes! I agree! That’s why I only spoke on her sampling the opera song “Caro Mio Bene” cuz I know that, it’s part of my culture but the other stuff isnot my business or place to comment on…

Also, the problem with most people when listening to new music, is that they go into it already expecting it to sound a certain way, instead of being open to the experience and the journey that a well thought-out, intentional album has the power to take us
Exactly, especially this new era of music listeners!
It’s like everyone is missing the point of her album about the whole genre thing 😭 like stop putting artists in little boxes let them explore! Be creative! Putting them into these little “genres”/boxes limits them and their creative work.
Facts
It keeps flying over their heads
@@Ella_bellacoconutEXACTLY. That is kind of what it’s about. Like spaghetti for example, it starts with linda martell saying that genres are just a lil concept that is kinda unnecessary and that they can be mixed. Idk what empressive was thinking 🤷
I don’t think you know enough about country music - or frankly music - to assess her album, tbh. And the “demonic” reference while totally missing the gist of a baroque operatic song is just….wow. Girl. Lmao WHAT was this analysis.
OKAYYY!! Like the jokes really write themselves! And to not even give credit to the lyrical and musical analysis for each song is ridiculous. This was a masterpiece, soundtrack, and movie done perfectly.
No she didn’t!! Caro Mio Ben is a very famous aria. There is Nothing demonic about it.
@@jakimwalker3217Nah Beyoncé IS demonic and y’all can’t change that.
When you are a hater, and you don't know what you hate, sometimes you contradict yourself, like this video
I think when Linda Martell did her “Genres are a funny little thing aren’t they” speech I understood exactly what she was doing with this album. Genres feed into each other and to exclusively assign a certain race or look is to limit expression and ultimately confine the art
Exactly this. There was a theme and a point to show how music evolves.
This was the whole concept of the album
This!!!
There are some fantastic black country artist who are already dominating the genre and who are loved and adored by the country world that’s a fact so that narrative was exaggerated to those of us who aren’t familiar with the genre nowadays to play up this Beyoncé album ……
@@dope03popeFACTS! Say it louder! The people who like this album don’t listen to country on a regular or even delve into other genres. It’s the same old Beyonce fans that think she created house music when she put out Renaissance. The real ones know. Let the stans stan as usual.
Underwhelming is a wild statement. It would be too obvious to create an “authentic” country album. Blending genres and taking risks is what artists should do.
Not every genre can “mix well” but country ain’t just a genre or a song style it’s an actual vocal style as well.
It’s not something anyone can do. It’s like Jazz.
Jazz singers sound completely different than pop singers
I think there is country and black country. And she did both.
True she was just being nice, the album sucks

@@lulukazhila6309 she incorporated a lot of genres, there's a bit of funk, trap, hip hop, opera, rock, rnb and soul on this album. The main one is definitely country but with a twist. I wonder if Beyonce sleeps. She's been putting out projects back-to-back. She just finished her tour last year, launched a hair care line, and has now put out a whole new album. Wow!
That was the point! Those people expected her to “bow down” and create traditional Country music so THEY could make the decision if they accepted it or not. She said that wasn’t going to fly and did her own thing and I love it.
Stfu seriously🙄🙄 whatever makes you and her feel better for her failing at country cause she’s being fraudulent just like she bleaches her hair and skin wishing she was white 🤡🤡🤡 That girl don’t know what she wants and either way, Country will NEVER accept her black ass

Empressive…not every dark, haunted feeling is gonna be based in demonic. In “Daughter” she was singing “Caro Mio Ben” in a Baroque style. “Caro Mio Ben” is a love aria. Basically saying “I would be lost without you my beloved.” It is literally stupidly romantic. Not demonic.
She clearly doesn't understand music like she made it seem and she was so off on this album that you can tell that she was paid off. I mean she hit every talking point that the racist country fans have been griping about.
Thank you!! She sounds sooo closed minded sometimes!!!

You obviously didn’t learn anything from this album. The history/research behind this is unmatched.
It sucks! Who wants to go researching those songs when all we really want to do is dance.
Nobody cares
You do know that Beyonce has a whole camp of white writers and producers that create the music for her right?
The album is amazing. Do you really think Rihanna shot a man down because she had a song about it? LMAO. No, talking about murdering somebody is a very common theme in country songs, also. You just haven't listened to the genre enough. Because Johnny Cash, Carrie Underwood, Garth Brooks, The Chicks, etc all have songs about it. Beyoncé is talking about only having intrusive thoughts when you are betrayed on Daughter, and asking God to rid her of the thoughts. She's constructing the song like an opera that's why she's singing in Italian. Isn't any different than when she said on Lovehappy to Jay-Z, I could have k*lled you. LMAO.
The “Genres are a funny lil thing…” part of the album really says everything as far as what kind of album this.
I really really love this album.
Shoutout to the pointer sisters for being the first black group to win a country Grammy for their song “fairytale “ which was written by Anita and Bonnie pointer and also covered and performed by Elvis .

I usually respect her perspective even if I don’t agree but she contradicts herself too much.
I hope that content creators will start adding The Pointer Sisters to the conversation. They were amazing; truly underrated. They are a group but they did win a Grammy in the 70's for their country song, "Fairytale".

😳 Many country artists nowadays experiment with pop and rock so why can’t Beyoncé also be accorded the same grace to experiment outside of country? I don’t get what the problem is. It’s an amazing album full of country songs, authentic references and inspirations.

I think this Beyonces best album. To say its lazy in anyway is absurd even if its just not for you. I love Protector, Just for Fun, 16 Carriages, Alligator tears, 2 most wanted, Levi's Jeans, Daughter. She just gave us so much with this.
Yall....beyonce is definitely casting spells...and we just be DANCING 😂
Renaissance and Cowboy Carter had to grow on me. I couldn’t get into majority of the songs on the album on the initial listen. Most likely because I was comparing the new albums to her previous work.. and none of Beyoncé albums are the same. But after a couple of more listens I started to love those album; they’re truly masterpieces.
Big facts
SAME
People who say the song or album had to "grow on them" obviously mean it was mid and wasn't a master piece the first time listening and probably only changing their opinion to where it sounds passive aggressive
because they are a hard core stan in the fanbase.... either the album was mid or not.
@nes96 or it means exactly what they said it means 😂
Same ❤ I love the uniqueness of ALL her albums. I’m not sure why people want to hear the same sound on every album. This is ONE reason why I love Beyonce as an artist. 🌟
I thought Beyonce did a solid job on Cowboy Carter. I don’t listen to country like that but she authentically captured the genre and did it with her own flavor. I give her props.
I understand this is your opinion.. But saying you don't listen to the genre and then saying she "authentically captured the genre" is lil.. off especially when you (probably) don't know or have an ear for it. She didn't capture the genre, and that's okay! I just wanted to point that out, 'cause.. she didn't. 😅 Still some good songs tho.
@@K.L..you took the words from my mouth, how can someone say they don’t listen to a genre but then claim an artist captured the authenticity of that genre? That makes absolutely no sense. Just say you’re Beyonce fanatic and keep it moving.
That's part of the problem. Country music has a distinctive sound and this album sounds like she's singing hip hop go country music. Beyoncé doesn't have the voice for country music....yes, I said it! She's only getting the recognition because of who she is, K Michelle has what it takes but won't get the recognition. I'm sure the album will still sell because of her fans but it is not country music.
I feel like she just made another album with a country aesthetic.
You dont listen to the genre like that, which explains why u thought it was authentic. If u really understood it, u would see its not.
The country community is not required to see her as a genuine country artist and elevate her, considering her catalogue of music and persona. I do appreciate that she seems to be attempting some sort of hybrid and if she wants to experiment, it’s not hurting anyone.
Did she write any of her songs? Everyone knows that the talent behind any album is the writer. Of course Dolly gets full credit for Jolene. It’s HER song.
Thank you for your honest review.
Liking a few songs on an album doesn't equate to liking an album. Liking a song doesn't equate to like it's lyrics or admitting that the lyrics is dark.
Beyonce said it was a country album & backtracked. Plus she dressed in cowboy hat & other country attire for the album launched so plp aren't making things up.
Jolene credit.. Beyoncé didn’t list herself or any others on BlackBiird as well.. I think it has little to do with Dolly P. Additionally, she has been wanting Beyoncé to cover the song. 👀
Also DOLLY ASKED BEYONCÉ to do the song.
I think it was a classy and respectable move by Beyonce, and a big TY to dolly contributions, and stamp of approval.
Right a lot of misinformation.
FOR YEARS, mind you. Dolly literally made a CAMPAIGN out of stating clearly in interviews that she explicitly wanted Beyonce to cover Jolene. Could it be possible that Bey is a NICE PERSON and did it because a legend she admires asked her to sing the song she wrote? Maybe Beyonce didn't WANT songwriting credit. It's HIGH KEY weird how NON-famous humans perpetually pontificate on what celebrities with far more talent and far more knowledge of their industry are doing and what their motivations are when none of us are there. What happened to just fuckin enjoying the music?!
Empressive was loud and Wrong. It seems like she was paid off to be negative and use every racist talking point towards Beyoncé. Trying to tell her to basically stay in her lane by mentioning her R&B genre albums. This was a scripted review so I don't respect it. Then downplaying it to getting Bey just trying to get her "lick back"...like seriously??
Girl this album definitely went over your head imo. She delved into Americana, bluegrass, country, rock, gospel and more to highlight the black roots of these genres while also adding her personal style. Basically Bey is saying American music is black music. And her vocals were performing throughout the album.
And it sounds to me she did her job as an artist to make you feel those feelings from listening. That’s the point. Art is meant to evoke feelings/reactions. Daughter is supposed to be eerie. Many of the songs production style was inspired by spaghetti westerns. So they’re meant to have a theatrical feel.
Beyonce did her thing with Cowboy Carter in my personal opinion. She took chances and really experimented with new sounds and her vocal techniques. Those harmonies were insane. CC is in my top 3.

The album is broken up into country sections… Acoustic Country, Outlaw Country, Pop Country, then Bey Country… and as someone who has been a country fan for YEARS. This is country… YOU just don’t listen to it YOURSELF.
And it’s not for the lazy listener, it has to be fully digested.

Yes!! I’ve been waiting for someone to say this!!! All I have been seeing is that it’s not country. Im like it’s all country!! It’s like no one has ever seen a country movie or heard a true country song. Pop Country is not the only country.
This is groundbreaking. It tells a story Empressive. She captures the history of her southern roots. You never seem to think beyond the surface regarding anything. Everything is not about booty shaking and twerking.
She said she liked like 5 songs out of the 27. That’s less than a quarter so that would validate her saying she didn’t think it was that good. And everyone has a right to their own opinions.

Yeah! Something about Dolly's version. It is really timeless. You could feel her hurt!!❤
It was real and really happened to her that's why

Beyoncé did Jolene justice though.
This is misinformation. Dolly Parton did want Beyoncé to cover 'Jolene' and even considered her to change it up a bit since the same rendition has been done 100 times over. Additionally, Beyoncé does not have herself listed as a writer on 'Blackbird’ as well which is a Beatles record. I wish you would fact check beforehand.
She sounded so misinformed and this review is terrible. It honestly felt like she was trying to push a narrative about Beyoncé's album to make us look down on it. While throwing in a few sprinkles to make us feel she was real. I'm shocked

This lady has been giving shit reviews lately, I don’t get it.
Most people don’t really understand music as an art form. They are used to commercially created work, that is mainly driven by a beat and a catchy hook. Masterpieces really experiment with all that music encompasses, it isn’t solely driven by what the masses want to hear.

She executed everything she wanted to execute perfectly on this album. A true music buff would understand this. From folk, to gospel, to Americana, country and even dance. She put her own spin on the country genre and I entirely respect her for that as an artist. If you like her older music, it’s there on Spotify and apple music for you to listen to. Stop trying to put people in a box and let them experiment! She’s literally one of the only few artists in the music industry that’s doing this. She would never have become the generational artist that she is today if she listened to people constantly telling her to stick to what she knows and stay in her lane and not try new things, so hats off to her 👏🏾
I get saying people should venture into other genres. But sometimes people just don’t like it 😂😂. Not everyone gets that deep into the vocals etc. if I don’t like the vibe, beat etc on to the next 😂😂
I agree and to say some of the songs were passionless blew my mind 😅 I try to respect people opinions but it’s gets confusing.😂
@@zeanibanks3950 that’s totally fine, if you don’t like it you don’t like it but I think a big part of that problem is people not taking time to listen to properly music across multiple genres. People who listen to mostly r&b and love r&b Beyoncé probably aren’t gonna like this album or have a harder time understanding it which is a shame because it truly is a great album. She plays with a lot of genres here and i think if you’re someone who actively listens to a lot of musical genres you’ll have a better understanding of what she’s trying to execute here.
Babes, it’s okay we are not going to like everything a artist puts out 😊
@@tino5032 I get that. For me personally I just get frustrated when people try to “shame” people who like what they like.
NOT SAYING YOURE DOING THIS. Because I don’t think you are.
But sometimes people just don’t like other genres. I do. If it’s a good song it’s a good song. It’s just nothing so far has done it for me.
I have to agree the lyrics are so distant and I don’t feel them. I listen to country sometimes bc it’s so raw and personal. Like you dang near know the lyrics after the first time listening bc of its ability to be relatable and catchy. But the lyrics in many songs for me are just too generic
Having an opposing opinion doesn’t make someone a hater. It’s possible to like something and at the same time not think it’s the best thing ever. Some people’s brains are more complex than like or dislike and yes or no. Imagine that 🤔.
What’s the sense of mentioning that she said it’s not a country album then still critiquing song for not being country 🤦🏽♀️
The delulu is strong on this video 😭
Yeah, it’ll make you think she didn’t put much thought in the feedback. Additionally Beyoncé said it’s a mixed of Folk & Soul
I’m like…huh?
@@DBlockBoi87she just dropped two mid videos back to back.. she definitely didn’t put much thought in either of her commentaries. I appreciate Empressive’s videos but she’s been sounding so biased lately
Because this whole project has been marketed as a country project. Texas Hold’ ‘Em was sent to country radio as well, so I can see how it’s confusing for the general public when you say one thing but then are doing something else.
You are the key to all my new music finds. If you recommend I usually go listen. I love your music reviews.
She puts spells in her songs!!! She does chants in her songs!!
I love this album, I believe it’s one of her best albums, and she even said it’s not a country album but an Beyonce!!!!
empressive is on nicks team she use to love Beyoncé and she is wiping my comments when I point this out
People have a generalization of country music, but only true country listeners know that country music has been modernized and evolved with the time period just like other genres of music. Those who know just knows.🤷🏽♀️
What people think is Country music is just top40 Nashville establishment Country. The Country purists I know don’t even think the majority of songs on Country radio these days are that Country at all.
See I'm not into country at all but this is what i thought as well! It may not sound like TODAY's country but it still definitely sounds country to me.
Exactly, just like hip-hop and Rnb has evolved.
And some will say it’s like the r&b today dead. I’m a old school lover of both genres and it’s rare for someone to not follow the rules and actually have a hit.
I wish people would stop thinking that anything beyonce does needs to be AOTY worthy.
I started playing it from beginning to end and couldnt get thru it.... And when i realized the shyt was 50 songs long i knew good and well it wasnt gonna be worth it.
She may as well had split that into 2 parts, the 2nd being the duets....
It reminded me of the way i felt teying to listen to Kanye's Donda album: felt like a nonstop track that never finished or ended
This album is the best she's ever said... Beyonce said it's a Beyonce album so if u want a proper country album record one yourself
It was not underwhelming, it was really good! She said it’s not a country album, it’s a Beyonce’ album. I loved it 🤍
But that is NOT a Grammy category😅 So when submitting the album, what category are they submitting for????
@@jamiebleed9942exactly
ofc u would
DEFINITELY underwhelming 😂😂 do you not know the heat Beyoncé comes out with?😅
Right. If she has to pluck which songs aren’t country songs out of a 27 track album. That means the majority of the songs are country. Our Empressive sis is hating
U thought Beyonce's album fell flat but u thought Tyla's was good💀 Girl byeee🤣🤣
We all don't lie
LMFFOOOOO
RIGHT!!!! Make it make sense. She literally said Tyla wasn't diverse enough and Beyonce gave the world the most diverse album anyone has ever heard, but is not good. I can't stand this lady at this point
NOT TYLA! I cant stand huh ass
I mean is it not her opinion?
I’ll admit the album had to grow on me, but I’m starting to definitely fall in love with it!
Why do you keep saying “doesn’t sound country” it’s not a country album!
Sorry but this ALBUM 💿 IS AMAZING!! Period! Underwhelming is so not true. It is a work of ART
Art is subjective
To you!! I could barely get through it
I love it so far
@@seektruth5750 exactly.. but rather you like it or not , art is art. And hateful is just hateful
@@Khsjsj that’s good for you. what you like I’m sure I may have a hard time getting through.
Nah sis totally did her thing on this entire album. She did a Beyonce album. Beyoncé’s doing classic things that nowadays artist don’t do and that’s saaang. Vocals, harmony stacks, complex melody shifts that complement each other is what makes it special. No one sings or makes music like this now. Everything in pop music is simple and formulaic. And I’m not sure how it felt uninspired because I felt her heart from the beginning with American Requiem. Vocally this is some of her best work as she really used her voice as an instrument.
Thank you! Take a look at half of the bots and people that's commenting that don't when follow her page like that. Listen to her spew the same talking points that the racist have been saying. They're doing everything they can to try to keep her from being labeled country. Beyoncé is country and they're going to have to deal with it and the album is great and breaking records!
+-4 years ago Dolly P always wanted Beyonce to sing Jolene. Also Beyonce said this is not a Country Album, but it is a Beyonce Album.
Thank you for being honest. I felt the same way.
Whether or not it’s a country album is irrelevant. Cowboy Carter is great. For me, this is her best work. I especially love the confidence, boldness, and cockiness in her voice. I was prepared to have maybe one or two favorites but the whole dang album is dope!
You are entitled to your opinion but it's not her best work.lemonade stands tall still.
Best work? Man youtube y'all are tripping. You know this album is garbage down to the whole publicity country image she is trying to do smh. I feel so old being Black and gay and born in the 90s. Like you do know she was in Destiny's Child the best girl group ever that had so many bops, and her debut/Crazy In Love/B Day/Ireeplacable. I'll even say 4/Love On Top album, which is epic and a masterpiece, but she went downhill from there lol.
Album is fire.. her vocals are unmatched..this was a solid body of work.. she pushed the envelope and did something no one else is doing…
Facts.
EVERYONE has a different taste and a different flavor of beyonce.....it's all subjective SHES THE QUEEN.....ITS A BEYONCE ALBUM,
To YOU. Not to me. It was a 4 out of 10.
@@tatiyanab8758 that was the point of my comment.. I never said YOU had to like the album.. I was giving MY opinion on the album. (obviously) you can give the album a 0/10 for all I care- Beyoncé’s artistry on her latest album doesn’t need defending.. have a nice day
@@vorineying6006 definitely the queen
This album is fire... don't put her in a box
How the eff is she supposed to grt credit on a song established for years. Beyonce is tripping. I haven't heard any song in full but Beyonce is singing RnB
I don’t believe Beyoncé was not trying to out do Dolly on Jolene. To me, Beyoncé held her own on the song. Dolly Parton is an icon and she deserves her flowers 💐. Beyonce put her on (her) album. She could have picked some other country music icon.
I was surprised by how much I ended up loving this album. It’s been on repeat since it dropped. It’s labeled Country, yet Beyoncé still put her own artistic spin on it. This should be AOTY at the Grammys, but we know how that goes.
If lemonade didn't get it this album will not.lemonade deserved it for sure.
Yal empressive paid by Nick. She payola now. Watch how her content has changed spread the word and unsub.
I completely agree with you. Initially, I thought I wouldn't like one song. However, I ended up LOVING most of the album.
I rebuke you for that comment.
beyonce is good at alot but not as great as her followers believe she is lol she's aaiiight
You sound like a JLO fan.
@@Bludove360 nahhhh JLO just know who to hook up with in hollywood, atleast Beyonce has actual vocal talent, I just dont believe she is INCREDIBLE, she aiight.
What I love most is that Beyonce is always challenging herself and staying true to her roots while representing her culture all at the same time. She has made r&b, pop, rock, and country songs multiple times in her career journey while infusing the culture in every time. That's my favorite thing about her and her music. One of her missions seems to always be to highlight how great "black" is. This is in movies, music, and fashion. Reminding audiences how great black artist are specifically. This new album is her saying "ppl from the country also sound like THIS". She does a great job always I think, and is a quality artist💛
It was a blending of multiple genres and it turned out really well !!!! This was a great album with smooth transitions which is not easy to do these days!
Beyonce did say that this album is not a country album, she stated that it is a BEYONCE album. My favorite songs on the album are: Blackbird, Texas Hold 'Em, Bodyguard, Jolene, Ya Ya, Riverdance and Tyrant. I thought Cowboy Carter was okay in my opinion.
I love the and by them selves but they don't flow together very well
doesn't mean it's good
She submitted to country charts tho so what does that say?
@@momtingz9447since when do artistes submit their songs to specific charts?
@@momtingz9447 Yep & it's still a Beyonce album 😂
I appreciate you giving your honest opinion. It's cool if you didn't like it. It's not for everyone. I hate the idea everyone must love everything Beyonce does.
Love the album B… Empressive if you’re the smartest one in the room, you need to be in another room. Album is 🔥🔥🔥🔥 put some respect on the fact that she had Willie Nelson and Dolly Parton on the album.
I don’t understand the comments bc EVERYONE IS ENTITLED to their opinions. If she doesn’t like the album then that is what she said. If you like the album then don’t come for people who don’t like it. Why must people not understand it is okay to disagree bc we all have our own individual likes and dislikes. That doesn’t make anyone a bad person bc they don’t agree with you🤦🏾♀️
How u gonna say everybody entitled to their opinions but say u don't understand the comments? 😂 Seems you're just generally confused lol
@@shannonoah_Probably cause most people are saying she’s wrong
Weirdos lol
It’s recency bias doing them in like crazy. It’ll soon pass. Same thing with Ariana’s new album. Nothing compared to thank u, next, DW, positions & my everything. You aren’t gonna like everything an artists puts outs. Stans (not fans) don’t seem to grasp this for some reason.
Recency bias. Stans eat up everything.
you were gagging over big foot and pf2 lmaooo your opinion is invalid
Exactly it’s clear she’s a hater
In 2024, if you like more than 3 songs, it's a hit. Empressive listed that the album was not that good then proceeds to talk about how good so many of the songs are..
I agree with some of these songs listed. And I really LOVED the song w Miley Cyrus
I thought it was just me. 😂
I think a 27 song album needs more than 3 good songs to be a hit. But, I do think the album is a hit and I liked many of the songs.
3 good songs out of a 27 song tracklist is NOT a good album, what are you on about. The album is mediocre💀
@@squishy3248 LMFAO!! 🤣 3/27 is def not a hit
I think that people who listen to Beyonce, probably won't genuinely listen to country music. It just trend at this point
Right! Beyonce fans are not of Country Music! Country Music fans are not Beyonce Fans!
Girl, have you not heard Miley cover Jolene??! To this day she's the only one who has done that song justice apart from Ms. Dolly. I'm gonna say you probably do just have a bias for Dolly's version since Miley's was done decades later. Maybe if Whitney did I Will Always Love You today you'd probably still choose Dolly's 🤭
I just listened to Miley Cyrus version the other day and I was blown away with how good it was!!!
