However I give full respect to Janet, because she knew she would always walk in Michael's shadow, she literally had to distance herself from her family (via the public eye anyway) until she established her name entirely separate from Michael... I'm sure she does, but once the interview starts and is live, the interviewer can push that limit and Kelly has to graciously skirt around the Bey subject and turn it back towards her. It's definitely not fair at all and she shouldn't have to do that, but if she pushed back too harshly at the interviewer there would be all types of articles and speculation of her and Bey fighting.

And if they ask anyway, tell them, I will not respond and I might walk out, depending on how I’m feeling. Period!

To me, Kelly's darker complexion is one of the main reasons why Beyonce is put ahead of her. Probably one of the reasons why JLo got the dressing room. In a way, I kind of don't feel sorry for Kelly being in Beyonce's shadows, because she had a chance to go with LeToya and LaTavia when they were talking about the mistreatment they received from Matthew Knowles while being in Destiny's Child, but instead of supporting the truth, she turned her back on them and was ok with them being kicked out of the group.
