John Denver is one of the most successful and best loved recording artists of the 20th century. His easy going manner, fine voice, superb songwriting and dedication to environmental issues all combined to build a huge global fanbase that has continued to grow since his untimely death in a plane crash in 1997. This superb 5 disc set is the definitive John Denver DVD release. There are three complete live performances with full band from Australia in 1977, Japan in 1981 and England in 1986. These are complemented by a solo acoustic performance from Japan in 1984 and his performances at Farm Aid from 1985, 1987 & 1990. The final disc has two hour long documentaries made by John Denver, his 1990 Earth Day programme about environmental issues and his 1972 show about the Bighorn sheep of his beloved Rocky Mountains.

Here in Dec. 2023 I watched a WV commercial, made me find this video. Watching this and just wow, so beautiful to watch. To see all those beautiful Japanese people singing along all so happy. Many probably not having knowing where West Virginia is. Sure makes me think how united and universal we could be, how the world could be if we all could just get along. When I make it to heaven one day I hope God allows folks like these... John Denver, Glenn Campbell, Buck Owens, Jim Croce, Ben Orr etc. just to name a small few off top of my head... to perform like this, so happy with so much energy... once again for us all. That would be my picture of heaven!! - JOHN we miss you. thank you for all the wonderful songs you gave us that will live on!!

At my job I will turn on my you tube and find him singing and crank up the volume and sing along with him while I am working. true it pissed the others off but I don't care. I have had people ask who is this beautiful voice and I just say Mr.John Denver. His music is a beautiful gift that he made and we're still so lucky to be able to keep listening to.
