For me a cellphone is for phone calls and texting. Being a man, I don't have access to a purse and depend on my pocket for carrying my cellphone, especially during the warm weather months, which is most of the time here in Louisiana. The Q10 fits the bill for me. It's a reliable tool. I prefer the physical keypad. YMMV.
sick of switching back and forth between samsung and iphone. im buying this phone!. i miss the sturdyness and reliability of a BB, especially now with the touchscreen adding a nice flavor to the phone. Removed buttons make the phone look slick and modern. battery lasts for minimum 1 day, dont have to worry about the screen cracking from a minor drop, signals always great, never restarts on its own like my iphone 5s does...
i love her reviews they are honest straight forward and unbiased. she doesnt bash blackberry for any reason she just tells you the good the bad and lets you make the decision not tells you a lot of people pbly wont like this phone or its not evolutionary or that great of a phone. great review
The "Developer Mode Enabled" t-shirts came from the BlackBerry Live trade show last month. The Droid with a guitar was a Motorola tradeshow giveaway a year or two ago.
After so many years of owning an iPhone - with which I am completely happy - I decided to take a deep breath and go for this one. It hasnt arrived yet in my country but once it lands it's gonne be mine :)
I really admire BB for taking the massive risk of launching a qwerty smartphone. Not everyone has the phablet needs or requirements. I gotta say I love my lumia - but - I do miss a physical keyboard..Great review Lisa, thanks
Great review! This really help me figure out what I was getting Dad for Christmas. I thought the 9900 would be a better option, but I think I can teach him around some of the Q10's tips and tricks. Thanks!
I think this is my next phone. I have a tablet I like it. I just want a phone that fits in my pocket so androids are out. And almost two years of iPhone make me never want another
It really is a quality phone, and with that carbon fiber, you can drop it over and over again without worrying about it breaking. I love my bb10 phones!
I was Blackberry guy back in the day but just can't see myself going back to the hardware keyboard - not after the amount of time it took for me to master the onscreen keyboard.
You can tell that you are not really fan of this device. Normally, your reviews are exciting and fun. this one seems to be, don't want to ''hurt'' anyone feelings, boring. the funny thing is that I was waiting for this review. :)
do you keep all of the electronics you receive and would you make a video of a phone collection or can you tell me how many phones you've reviewed :) because you always help me SO much :) thanks
Good review. Now I'm seriously considering getting the Q10 instead of the Z10. I didn't realize that the Q10 has a touchscreen and hardware keyboard like my BB Torch 9800. And the Q10 is not a slider like my current BB. A feature I could careless about. :)
Hi Lisa. I was wondering if the Blackberry Q10 has the Navigation Google app. That's what I use on my Galaxy Note II. Other map apps aren't accurate for me in my opinion. I am willing to buy the Q10 but I don't know if there are any reliable navigation/map apps that are accurate. I am still choosing over between the Blackberry Q10 & the Google Edition S4. Thanks Lisa. Love your vids by the way.
Awesome review. And to all the little kids talking about how sucky this phone is, unless you have tried it personally, your opinion is void. This phone works great, awesome software and it is the most secure phone out there. It may not have a lot of apps YET but soon the app store will grow. Also, this is a powerhouse, you can do a lot with it, professionally speaking. So kids, this phone is for grown ups. If you want a phone/toy, get an android phone or iPhone. Simple. Stop hating :)
Keep in mind you can "side load" some android apps (which means you can have your Instagram). I currently have an iPhone and will be getting this in September. I love the physical keyboards of BlackBerry's and overall like their productivity functionality.
I understand BB wanted to keep things nice and compact... but considering how large competing smartphones are getting, it really wouldn't have hurt to make this thing a little bigger. Imagine how much larger the screen could potentially be with a thinner bezel, and if the phone itself was bigger.
I am looking at this model here in 2016, and I am wondering how upset I will be with something this old. I am really tiring of Androids constant "upgrades" to the OS and the hardware, and I need something durable to wait out the market. All I need is a sync to my google calendar, multiple emails, bluetooth music on the go, a decent alarm clock feature (I have to have a lot of alarms throughout my day), and it would be cool to use MP3s as notifications and ringtones. I am not enjoying the idea of a step backwards in tech, but I can accept it so long as a pair of them fill those goals and are still good on Sprint.
It's really stable. It's not even that old at this point. You probably don't get any more durable than this. I've been using it for most of two years and it gets better and better really.
its actually not dead. a lot of people hate on screen keyboard people just moved to them because there were no more and if there was older bb devices werent that good so now more people will probably go for the q10. learn how many people actually like them and will use them before you run your mouth
Lol I don't think you understand the premise of the Q10 or my comment. BlackBerry released the Q10 so that consumers could have a BB10 option with a physical keyboard. The point of my comment was that BB should have released a BB10 phone with a physical keyboard, with a bigger screen than the Q10's.
I used a BB torch for two years and had a great experience, it is a better integrated software and hardware device. I have a Xperia Ion running android 4.0 now and even though its a nice hardware with tons of apps, I've had bad experience in only six months. Its very laggy, has many bugs.. Sometimes the call application crashes for crying out loud.... If I would have done more research I would have gotten the Nexus 4. But Im thinking about BB again.
Even now my old BB torch runs great on ATT go. And has better battery life still. I never took my charger to work. But now i take it with me everyday because I never know when that Android OS is gonna drain the battery in two hours of stand by.
i have the iphone 4 and im thinking about buying this since your comment is 2 months old i am asuming you already have it so i wanna know if it is any good,
@joel mason Most Android and iOS users are not going to install it. If iMessage was available on BBRY phones would you install it? Same thing applies here.
I am amused that of the biggest selling points for Blackberry is never used in reviews and not even by BB themselves - which is the global data roaming, which gives you unlimited BB emails and BBM when traveling abroad. I am a die hard Apple fan and love my Iphone 5 for everything it does - but for business, email and message roaming, a solid keyboard and a long battery life with a backup battery in the travel kit - i cant be beaten by anyone. BB is killing themselves trying to be a me to product
can you answer the phone using the keyboard? im a tradesman and my hands are dirty quite a lot and sometimes with the touch screens i cant swipe the phone in time. Its a bit of a pain.
i like blackberry and the iPhone because you can buy the phone and if you want an accessory you can actually find them for your phone not like android where you need a high end phone just to find an accessory for it and within a few months your htc one or s4 wont even be relevant cause there will be another 400 new android phones out
You mean BBM or text messaging? BBM is coming to android... seems like a lot to lose just for messaging, but if you don't use your phone for other stuff, then maybe it was a good call on your part :)
Well thats weird. It could be a matter of network or apps sync. I used to keep my BB torch from syncing very often. Mail, Facebook, twitter, RSS etc syncing every hour or so. I had also set the phone to turn off at 3:00 am and turn on again at 7:00 pm everyday. And I never used the camera too much.
I had a Blackberry Torch And I loved it. Now I have a Sony Xperia Android and I hate it. I'm ald fashioned I like the old cellphone style. And this BB Q10 is beautiful to my eyes. I just think that 200 dls on contract is too much, considering that you can get the latest iPhone for the same price.
I know when I go to SC on vacation the att coverage aint good there so the phone keeps searching for signal very often and that drains the battery fast. It also happens with my Android Sony Xperia.
Most are review units that we have to send back to the manufacturer or carrier. How many phones have we reviewed? Hundreds :)

One of the best smartphones reviews so far, she's very explanatory, straightforward and honest, thanks

Finally!!! The only review I have been waiting for! Love ya, "Leese!"

Wonderful review! Very well put and I don't know what it is but your voice makes your videos wonderful to watch.
soo happy that there is a smart phone out there with a real keyboard
Great review! This really help me figure out what I was getting Dad for Christmas. I thought the 9900 would be a better option, but I think I can teach him around some of the Q10's tips and tricks. Thanks!
Thanks for the lengthy review. I'm considering the Q10.
I bought a used one 2 days ago and I'm loving the Q10 so far with the 10.2 release. If you prefer a real keyboard this is the best one yet.
Really looking forward to the release of the Q10 in Australia.
Planning to buy this phone for Verizon Wireless. 2014 still love blackberry.
you should wait on the classic
I have this on the way in white. I have been waiting !
Trading in my gs4 to get this phone tomorrow. Excellent review.
Such a cute little phone.I have him and Samsung S5. But, Q10 is a real deal....
You can tell all the younger people hate BB. You can keep your IPhone with your 89 thousand solitaire apps. Some of us dont need that
Solitaire? lmao
If I may ask, where do you go to buy your shirts. I can't help but smile every time I start a video!

love it!
Go for it! I know how you feel. I needed to get away from the iphone and went with the Galaxy S4.

I'm in love with this phone. 3 must have it!
I really want to hear your thoughts on this phone with the newest update that allows FM radio with a headset, and android apps from 4.2.2

Yes it's an awesome device, although lack of quality apps is frustrating especially if you have Android or ios background.

Very good in depth review :)
Please review the new blackberry classic :)
very nice review. I wish you had on-screen texts as well. You speak rather fast and sometimes its hard to follow the numbers.
a lot of the apps you find made or ported for the z10 and q10 work great
I think it has 16 GB built in, and can take microSD cards if you want/need more.
i have the iphone 4 and im thinking about buying this since your comment is 2 months old i am asuming you already have it so i wanna know if it is any good,
How is battery life ? Thanks
Great review!
How much do you want for your S4? I want to maybe buy it if the price is right.
@joel mason Most Android and iOS users are not going to install it. If iMessage was available on BBRY phones would you install it? Same thing applies here.

Thanks, great review Lisa!
Blessings John 20:29
you my friend actually make a good point.
video recording can't be done with full screen?
how many GB does it come with are you choose choose how much you want?
it does matter how you hold the camera when you move them to a computer it changes the orientation
Just ordered mine
There is the Blackberry Z10 for that, and soon the Blackberry Z30 with a 5 inch screen.
I really really want a Q10, but i'm waiting for the phone to come over to Sprint, which the Blackberry website is coming soon.
can you answer the phone using the keyboard? im a tradesman and my hands are dirty quite a lot and sometimes with the touch screens i cant swipe the phone in time. Its a bit of a pain.
I think this is the best choices for qwerty phone.
Do smartphones make calls now a days??
Time flies
Still only seven apps open at a time right?
gonna buy this one
think they will make another qwerty phone?
You should do a Z10 vs Q10 video!
Some reviewers say this BB Q10 has very low battery power and others say it very good... I guess the only way to find out its buying it..
Does the bb OS 10 needs BIS or BES in order to fully use it?? Even Prepaid?
all OS 10 and future BB phones no longer need BIS/BES! :)
Good video. Thanks... I like my Q10
Getting it tommorow!!!!!
Great review
Can the bluetooth be upgraded to 4.2?
will it be much different if i get regualr 4G or LTE will be much different in speed?
Can you turn the shutter sound on the camera off?
its not two steps back people want a keyboard they have it the opperating system is up to par with android, ios, and windows
Great Review
"Cook Crepes" OH God I love them so much
great review... thanks...
Nice review
Best channel
Is it dual SIM CARD?
i want it! i was contemplating getting the older bb bold but i wanted more power than that with this i can have it! yes!
Great phone the screen is just too small. Always love their hardware. They hold up pretty well.
Does it have a clippboard/ note pad?
Ah, got it. Man, I need to find some giveaway places somewhere around here .
Oh but it is. It's coming to both android and iOS later this summer.
how do you make the icons larger on the screen?
people want physical keyboards. understand that before commenting.
Did the add android play store?
Exactly, Android and Blackberry should partner, apps for Blackberry and secruity for Android.
i like blackberry and the iPhone because you can buy the phone and if you want an accessory you can actually find them for your phone not like android where you need a high end phone just to find an accessory for it and within a few months your htc one or s4 wont even be relevant cause there will be another 400 new android phones out
Could you review the razer blade please!
You mean BBM or text messaging? BBM is coming to android... seems like a lot to lose just for messaging, but if you don't use your phone for other stuff, then maybe it was a good call on your part :)
The new blackberry q 10 is good one i like it people do good job working hard in this phone
Nice review. Articulate and helpful. Thanks.
