Don't ask me for sources, but I'm pretty sure that album only exists because the record company was all fussy about them owning the name Oingo Boingo so the band basically gave them the finger with that album. And it opened the door for the slower, heartier Oingo Boingo songs later.

honestly shocked more people don't know that So-Lo is an Oingo Boingo album in everything but musician credit. Almost every member featured on GFYS was also on So-Lo.
