    Keith was not only great at turning other classical composers music into rock, he was just as great turning his own classical music into rock!

    Marc Bonilla is fantastic and leaves one to imagine how ELP may had sounded with the addition of Jimi Hendrix on guitar?

    Unbelievable. Amazing. Never heard the Piano Concerto interpreted by band - Awesome! Love it. Very tastefully done and captures all the energy. feeling and communication of his work as intended.

    I always thought the electronic version of this and Pirates would have been an awesome follow-up to Brain Salad Surgery.

    Keith still got it. Between 1997 and 2008, he could be himself despite his hand condition. For 2009 and throughout, things got worse for Keith's poor hand, and eventually led him to end his life. ELP's reunion in 2010 sounded pretty bad, given also the poor sound setting and no time for soundcheck. For 2014, he struggled to solo and play single chords.

    I prefer Greg Lake's playing; he complimented Keith's keyboards and didn't overpower them. For my money, you can't beat the original ELP sound. I will always grieve the loss of Keith Emerson. I pray that his soul is at peace.

    What a nice night. I just discovered Marc Bonilla.

    No ensamble, Bonilla is drowning the keyboards

      There's the CD version that's mixed differently. In fact, that version mixes loud the keyboards in some parts, and lower in other parts in favor of Marc's guitar.

    • @secretmission7607

      Yes it was indeed a great shame. As a musician myself with a comparable condition I know how it feels to lose so much of one's former facility.

      Secret Mission no etiendo que decís, y no por mi inglés.

    • @FukiMakai
      @FukiMakai 3 года назад +1

      @@mauriciograna8083 Keith Emerson sufría de la mano derecha desde el año 1994, y debido a la cirugía que se hizo durante la grabación de In The Hot Seat (el último y el peor album de ELP), desde 1996 tenía el meñique casi inutilizado.
      Secret Mission dice que en verdad fue una lástima, y que él mismo como músico con una condición comparable, sabe muy bien lo que se siente perder gran parte de su habilidad o facilidad para tocar de sus años anteriores.
