But he's also the one who does most of the animation and artwork for the show as well which makes sense why they would pick him to be the artist guy at the beginning of the episode. Because he's the artist of the show as well. He sure is a brilliant man and I know his real name is actually Doug Lawrence but I honestly like calling him Mr. Lawrence because it just sounds like a really cool name and he does seem like a cool guy in real life too.
"He's pulling a Hulk and a Lokey!" There's something strange about making more recent references to this much older show. Like, I would have thought "Hulk is pulling a Doodlebob!" since this image has already been ingrained in my head since childhood. Fun to see new perspectives!

Modern SpongeBob is a mixed bag. In between seasons 5-9 were pretty mediocre at best, disgusting at worst, with a few diamonds in the rough. Ever since then, seasons 10 and onward have been somewhat more consistently good, not AS insulting as some episodes like Splinter, SpongeBob You're Fired, Little Yellow Book or One Coarse Meal. If you enjoy them, kudos to you. We just mostly are saying Classic SpongeBob is a lot bette.
