New subscriber been binge watching for a week. What an awesome family, hard working beautiful kids. You are truly blessed. Can't wait to see 5 years from now where you advance. Truly living my dream.
a 15 year old driving and working a cat! That's just a wow and WAY beyond what most 15 year old's are doing. He doesn't know it yet but he is learning life skills that will last. Yeh he may not be the best at a video game, but he is building his jeep and working the ranch. In 3 years, he is going to be so far ahead of his classmates. Well done
Good for you guys. I started driving a tractor when I was about 6 and got my first motorcycle out of a junkyard at 14 and got it running. Your kids will thank you later.👍👍
It is very hard these days to see young men respect they parents, and let then teach them and we need more Ranches and farms all cross this beautiful land that god provided for us, and to have a awesome family to take care of it. If I could start all over I would have Ranch. Y'all have a awesome family stay safe take care god bless
A lot of folks think your destroying the land but your not. Those trees are too close and are smothering the life out each other. I think trimming them up from the ground helps prevent fires. You folks have a beautiful view. Stewart's of the land.
Quite the first impression.. I used to log trees like those cedars clear down to a four inch top and run through a mill I built myself. While wainscot was still making it into market, I sold thousands of dollars worth of them. Its hard country your living in but that life is a good life as your well knowing of. No other flatlander would understand it and scratch his head trying to make heads and tails of it. Dirty shame that you don't have a fair sized excavator as well to make this bush clearing much easier and faster.
I’m sorry you may have said this in other videos but where is it that this is . God bless you and your family may he protect you and give you strength to endure these times we are in now
Those cedars all make great posts for a porch or a shed......peel them and put a varnish on them and they will look rich for years.....plus no bugs! lol
Hello, can you explain more about the reason you clear the land? It seems it's just to have that hill side more open. Is that so the cows have more ground for grazing? What about replanting trees at a better spot? I know your farm is your business and I admire how hard you work, but it pains me to see the mountains having less and less vegetation. What about corrosion? Do you tap the maples? Thank you.
My personal choice would be the chainsaw first to get the logs sperated first. It's going to be hard work to get them out of that pile later. It would save fuel as well
I'm actually leaving most of the trees where they are. There are tons of maple trees still there but they have not put their leaves on yet so they are hard to see in the video. We are just trying to thin the trees not get rid of them we want the shade and cover for the wildlife
I had to google lgp.,,,,,,And LGP stands for low ground pressure which intern to most people means a wide track, wide track is better in muddy...What does LGP (low ground pressure) stand for? Heavy equipment are very heavy and can cause serious damage to the ground if they do not have proper low ground pressure. This is a subject that many people using heavy equipment may not be aware of. It is only because that this subject doesn't affect their work in any way
From the sound of the noises in the cab of your D4 is it safe to assume that it is a manual drive and not a hydrostatic drive. good practice for the young man. I sympathize with him about slopes it used to scare me when I buried and plowed cable for the phone company.
Your daughter use to work along side her dad and brother doing what ever they were doing. I have noticed that seemed to change? She is such a hard worker and really seemed to enjoy the work. What happened?
Eventually, your kids will inherit your land. If you don’t teach them how to care, respect and work it, they will get rid of it the minute you( the parents) are gone. Not like your neighbor’s kid who is always on the phone or with his hands in his pockets watching during his Dad’s videos.
@@bustedwagonranch4546 that’s exactly my point. Your kids are so involved in the construction of your ranch that they have made it their own. I love to see them work and learn in every of your videos. Keep it up.
How do you know what or how anyone does things, except when you see them on camera? I see you have a total of 7 videos, so That must mean you're way too busy playing on your phone to do any, by your reasoning.
I usually give a thumbs up, certainly would for a lad learning new skills and working hard, however, there was no justification given for destroying old forest. I have seen and experienced forested pasture, plenty of grass, thus the lack of understanding. Us humans in a few hundred years have destroyed most of the earth beyond repair, when we were called to be caretakers and custodians. However, this does not condone a thumbs down. Have a great week.
I appreciate the concern. We have no plans to clear cut this land we have. We love the trees. I should have shown trying to walk in these trees. They are so thick weeds wont grow. Were thinning them out to give the trees and the wildlife more to eat. I want to make sure the deer, elk, and Turkey's have plenty of food shade and cover.
A homeowner clearing some pasture and thinning some forest for lumber and building materials is in my opinion the epitome of being a caretaker and custodian of his land.
First, that's not an old forest. Cedar trees grow pretty fast, and they are invasive. They choke out the land and destroy the soil. Second, using the land for sustainability and keeping it managed is a much better care taking than letting a bunch of cedar trees take it over and ruining it.
Good on you for teaching your son life skills that can feed his future family for life! Incredible work!

Great parents great kids all learning the most important things in life. Well done all of you. Love from Australia xxx

Good morning and thumbs UP to you all !
The Ranch is really looking great. Great job!! I'd be afraid of the bull dozier 😃
That red cedar trunk wood will mill up and make beautiful accent pieces for your house....cedar furniture is spectacular.
Beautiful piece of Heaven you have there! Thanks for another great video! Your work is appreciated!
Thanks for sharing keep the videos coming

Simple to operate cats or tractor too , till him take charge of that machine have fun
I have to believe milling that cedar up for deck board and selling would make a fortune right now
its going to look good once its done. he is doing a great job and it will pay off later in life. thanks for sharing and have a great day as well
Wow. Thats a big patch, all that wood surely will help you along the way. Thanks for sharing.
Another good video. I loved the sticker in the Dozier.
...your crew is doing a great job, good one, keep safe..
nice, love to see land management grooming the ranch!
Looks like a good bit of firewood there 👍🏼

I was always told to go downhill and let gravity help me. Like the music and drone shots. just me
Most youngsters his age have their eyes glued to a cell phone or game console 18 hours a day. Ask them anything about the world and they say “huh?”
I like the sticker in it.
"This vehicle pays your salary, take care of it"
I think you'll find it much easier to push those trees down hill than uphill.
Now you have enough firewood for next winter
I’m sorry you may have said this in other videos but where is it that this is . God bless you and your family may he protect you and give you strength to endure these times we are in now
Were in idaho

What a great experience for a young man, Dozer man.
Tyrell did good...😊
Hesdoibg fine and before you know it his fearlessness with take over and you will need to reign him in😜
It will be great when you are done. The nice thing about the maple trees. Is they will give shade for the cows. What size is that dozer? D? God bless
Its a D4 with a full 10.6 foot blade it weighs 28000#

cedar burns very fast. This will reduce your fire hazard when you have finished
Looking great
Have your son watch some Andrew Camarata RUclipss to see how versatile and awesome dozers can be when an operator knows how to use one.
my word , your hill is so much higher up the hill than Red Poppy ranch

Will erosion become a problem if you rip out all the trees. Will you leave a certain amount of trees for soil stabilisation.
I'm actually leaving most of the trees where they are. There are tons of maple trees still there but they have not put their leaves on yet so they are hard to see in the video. We are just trying to thin the trees not get rid of them we want the shade and cover for the wildlife
@@bustedwagonranch4546 No worries. I was curious more than anything. Thank you for responding. Cheers.
I would have given my left @ut at the age of 15 to run a dozer. Would have been a thrill. Looking back glad I never had to choose
When are you gonna dam up that creek and get some hydro going!!!
Don't I remember that your neighbor has a mulcher. Cedar mulch lasts a long time
Great video, is the left track wider than the right track?
No the dozer is a lgp so 30 inch track shoes per side

It's a hydrostatic drive. You definitely have to hold the brake when changing gears. Or it will runaway away with you.
Well it is a hydrostatic transmission but I have to shift it rather than just push or pull a joystic
Your daughter use to work along side her dad and brother doing what ever they were doing. I have noticed that seemed to change? She is such a hard worker and really seemed to enjoy the work. What happened?
She is real busy with school and work.
Sure looks like a steep grade, no wonder he is a little nervous
👍👍💞
A few bon fires are in order
Slow going with that D4, 5 tonne min have them pushed and rooted in no time.

As much sweat, tears, and blood my kids have in this place I dont think they will sell. No matter the price.

Good work..cedar trees will overtake your land
Hiya
push down hill it he is doing a good job of ruing the dozer
✔👍😁✌
Shouldn't he be pushing tree's........Down the hill......allowing Gravity too assist the dozer ? Pushing 'UP' hill doesn't make much sense !
Making a man out of a boy.

WE have more Trees in the USA than when the pilgrims arrived, hate it when tree huggers are so misinformed.
