@@CPTE5069 No, the current record holder is one near the Belgian coast. Australia likes to say that doesn't count because it goes through several urban areas, not just one. It does count, and the new A Line will be longer than both even before this extension is finished (when the Regional Connector is finished, which should happen very soon).
wish there was more grade separation on the LA metro projects an elevated viaduct over these roads would help out a lot i only imagine as the system gets busier it will only cause more delays
Getting a kick out of all the people excited about this project. Basically novelty rail fans who will enjoy a couple of rides and still use their cars once they realize what a mess it is on other lines. Even the board of supervisors are in a panic over the safety and loss of ridership.I'm all for rides but these lines aren't the Disneyland Railroad joy ride.
Wow is embarrassing the foothill gold line extension project is moving at a better pace than the k line extension project and the k line is way smaller than the foothill goldline extension project. 🤔🤔🤔
So refreshing to see cities like LA and Seattle investing more in public transportation. Looking forward to the completion of this project.
Very impressive looking. I can't wait to ride on what will the longest friggin' light rail route on the planet, from Pomona to Long Beach.
"Longest ... on the planet"? Really, I had no ide3a. That is pretty cool.
Longest "Tram" Line is the official record.
Is going to be Montclair to long Beach if they could find the money to built it in Montclair.
*aggressive melburnian noises*
(Melbourne currently holds the record for the [second] longest tram line with the route 75 to South Vermont)

this is actually pretty impressive. Tons of investment into infrastructure.
The line just gets better the more we wait. Great work!
the railroad lays 15 miles of track every day of the week yet this took years. Great Job
😲wow, i had no idea.
Super exciting! My friends and I are eagerly awaiting Opening Day!
I look forward to being able to ride the Gold line east from Pasadena to Claremont, take Metrolink to San Bernardino, then Amtrak to Chicago!
It will be the first time in 30 years one will be able to ride the train east from Pasadena to Chicago without having to go the wrong direction to LA.
Looking good so far
i was literally looking earlier for the updates cause i felt like they were missing LOL

Idk how I thought rail lines were put down but I was surprised lol
I feel like not many systems use copper overhead wires when constructing new lines
how many mile is for this project?
Not the Gold line No More, it’s the A line now!!!
Sounds promising but they just need to do something about the homeless lounging inside the trains.
House them

Before the Latin American Version.
What does that even mean? 🤔
Music sounds like a take on the Human League’s “Keep Feeling Fascination.”
This runs parallel to metro link. What a waste of tax money .
😂😂 uour wasting your time
Will this run from Montclair to Long Beach via union Station?
