I just found a guy near my place that sell arcade cabinets, I've been hunting for the perfect cabinet to convert into a racing sim. He has 4 Ferrari f355 cabs that are out of order. But its the same cab as this!! So this is an amazing resource for me to get into exactly what is going to be needed for this project. Thanks for such a thorough run down of what you're doing!

Awesome build! I would have loved to have gotten a twin myself! I just completed a very similar build, but mine isn't all complete yet and aesthetically it still needs a lot of work! My main objective was to keep the FFB from the arcade using the L2M2 mod which I've completed. It's now a matter of getting it looking the part and fixing up a lot of the frontend stuff of my build.
Thanks for the video, it was a good watch on the train ride home from work which is roughly 1 hour so I had some time to spare :)

Hay. Yep at the moment it’s just running a sega model 2 and 3 emulator. I’m going to set up mame very soon. Ive got the list of games that I want just got to do the hard bit and set it up. I sold the other half and other bits like the monitors for roughly £200. It all worked out about £250 spent excluding the pc gear. The new seat runners were £25. I paid £100 for the wheel an pedals. I sold everything cheap and for spares just to cover myself. If you made it through 45 mins you did very well lol I tried to make it as entertaining as I could and tried to not make it just slideshow. Colin did the intro.

I have a similar cabinet that I'm currently working on. It's a Daytona USA that used to be part of a twin cab setup as well. The wheel setup I'm using is also the G27. I didn't want to cut up my dash so I had a local company 3D print a hub extender so I can keep the base of the wheel hidden inside the cab and bolt it in place from below. Then I just reconnect the wheel to the hub extender). What I'm really struggling with is the location of the shifter. You came up with a good idea but do you find it's too high? I would try implementing it inside the original shifter casing but then I lose all the controls such as the d-pad and buttons etc... So now I'm leaning towards making a little base for it to the right side of my seat like it would be in a car. Lastly, have you considered removing your pedals from the base and reverse mounting them to your cab? I think you would like it a lot better and give it a nicer look. Just my opinion though. For my setup I'm going to run CoinOps front end on a PC and also a modded Playstation 3. Anyways, thank you for your detailed video as it is helping me a lot. Thanks. Cheers from Canada.
