We agree, shipping has went up so high for Canada shipping! We wish it was reasonable too. It would be better for our customers. We try to cover some cost as we offer free shipping within the US. Some people will use 3rd party shippers within the US to ship to them. Thanks
Iv just bought the same bulbs for my mk7 golf.. Did you have trouble with the bulb locking in straight ? When mine lock in the leds are pointing at 8 & 2 instead of 3&9 so my beam alignment is off.. Trying to work out how to make the bulb lock in vertical how it's meant to be lol. Your lights look awesome by the way 👍
@@CarsandCoding Hi, this post is being brought to our attention again. We understand if you don't want us posting here but could you mention this person DOES NOT have our LEDs? Ours are the only ones on the market that align 9 and 3 :) This person has a competitor LED that locks 8 and 2 because they are not custom for the GTI. Thank you for the great video. We will share it for you!
In the video you can see the lights cut off below the drivers door window on a car that turned in front of me in the distance. They are aimed low enough to not go into drivers eyes. The only negative is there is a little bit of dark spots/shadow on the road Vs if these were factory, but again, it’s like comparing a candle to a 100w lightbulb when comparing the halogens to these. I think they are awesome for the money and quick install.
Also not legal here in holland, but since this year i believe these are legal: Osram Night Breaker LED GEN 2 H7. They come with a certificate and are specific for halogen to LED conversions.
So how do the bulbs actually connect? You didn't screw back on the old black backing that was attached to the halogens? How do the bulbs light if no power to back of em? You didn't show how they connect!??
Correct, the led bulbs are a complete unit, nothing from the old bulb is reused. I separated the heat sink from the new bulb in order to sneak it in, then I screwed the heat sink back on. The big hockey puck sized cover is put back on but that is just so no water/dirt gets in. The black handle shaped part on the old halogen bulb is NOT used.
@@CarsandCoding thanks for the reply! I installed the Sylvania Ultra Star - they're recommended best replacement bulb. But hugely disappointed lol so now I'm going all in for the les bulbs. I'll try this brand out. Lastly, did you have to adjust anything manually? And if so, how? Otherwise is it just plug and play swap? Thanks again!
In installed these lights, :( got a defect ticket after a week for illegal headlights, the cop explained that the glare he experienced head on was blinding! U need Projector headlights.. damn, i guess don't do it.
Just to confirm - these are the H7 bulbs that deAuto refers to as "forward lighting fog"? It seems they're doing this because, technically, you're not supposed to install LED headlights?
Oh, I was getting confused because they say fogs. I believe I got the same ones. 144 bucks for 2. Hear they have high quality stuff. We got 4 leds for 16 dollars on eBay for errand car so we'll see what those are like..lol Cheers
I personally would NOT install LED headlights (at least not low beam) in front of reflector housings. You're going to blind the shit out of people that way. Projectors, no problem.
I finally ordered some led low beam from destroyed.
144 dollars for two.
Should be a huge improvement.
I used the fogs a help the weak halogens.
if de auto key's shipping to canada wasn't so crazy expensive these would be great to get.

Great video, tks
Still love my vw se 1.8 sportwagon that i bought new in '15.
Waiting for the deautoleds to arrive.
Good choice!
Great job. Did you put the rubber covers on. Do they dazzle on coming cars?
I aimed the lights a bit lower, no complaints.

You should contact DeAutoLED for any issue like that. I have contacted them before on footwell lights and they answered me right away! Good luck

What is the make and model of the lights?
Idk how you’re able to fit your hand and install in the front. I’m gonna have to go thru wheel well for both sides
It wasn’t easy! But through the wheel is fast also.
will this work on a tsi aswell?
Hi, thanks for this informative video! Please could you advise if any error codes come up on the dashboard? And did you need a canbus adapter?
No errors, no adapters, just plug them in like normal.
@@CarsandCodingMany thanks for your response 🙏🏽

I'd love ve to fit LEDs but not legal to change them in the UK
move to EU😄
Yes it is, it’ll pass the mot and it’s not illegal, I did it on my mk7
@LukasMRobin
How much does it cost and where shall I order ebay

And other led for big lights how you change?
I did not change the high beams.
Hi! 2yrs later how are they holding up? Thanks!
Still going great! I have never once been flashed by oncoming traffic. Have to aim them correctly and they are great!

@@BA-rh5hyyou have to aim the headlights using the adjustment screws. Plug in the new bulbs just like any replacement bulb. Adjust after.
Did it give you an error on dashboard?

@@livnaway great! And I’ve never been flashed by oncoming traffic
does this upgrade both the regular and high beam lights?
@@livnaway I only did the low beams but you can do both
I wish they were allowed in Poland. Did you do any coding on vcds? Nostrobo effect? How about upcoming cars don't they blind?
No problems. Aimed correctly. No blinding.

What’s the lifespan for these?
I would expect them to last a long time, they are LED

What is dangerous is getting blinded by upcoming cars with stupid strong headlights.
...but how did you connect the bulb to the original wire ????
It plugged right in, no adapter needed, and there are no wires. The old bulb turns and pops out, the new one goes in.
