Oh yeah it was possible. It was a problem with dreamcast also. My buddy would rent games then burn them for himself and we played the heck out of everything both systems

That kinda reminded me of my cousin's PSone and PS2 Slim, both were modded, the former was an NTSC U/C and the latter was a PAL console, on both he mostly played pirated games, some with downloaded save data.
