Love this profile! I got lucky on my fiendsmith pulls to where I have a fiendsmith package, and I tried fiendsmith memento but I didn’t like it. Been having a lot more fun and success on the pure variant of the deck. A more boardbreaker approach with the deck I think is a better strategy with handtraps. In my deck I’m more handtrap focused, running Droll and Veiler Ash and Imperm with Crossout in the side (extra targets being a Nib, an Ogre, and a Shifter). Though a lot of the time it doesn’t seem like enough to stop my opponent. Breaking their board feels a lot better, especially with this deck since it can easily OTK with Creation and King, especially with the fish. I’ve been liking the 1 Goblin 2 Biker Spell ratio. You mentioned how this is your side pattern, but I personally think this ratio is fine to main deck. Though I’m also on 2 Witch and 3 Fusion spell so your ratio probably benefits your deck a bit better than mine. I was able to get thrusts for cheaper from a friend (thank god for the reprints) so I’ve been siding it in to get duster slayer barrier and sanctum. Saves a lot of room in the side deck for more handtraps, breakers, or (for me at least) ways to stop shifter. As I said earlier, I’m on Crossout with a shifter in the side deck to try and stop it, but are there better ways of accomplishing this besides hard opening your floodgates? I do see the vision with Fracture Dance as well, though I do personally like Cranium Burst more since it can negate every single Ryzeal monster they summon, but your mindset on just cutting them off of 2 bodies altogether is a smart way to use the card. Sucks there isn’t a good way to run both without risking the brick. I do not own an aggregator so the Ty-Phon in my deck was the only slayer dump for that unfortunately, but instead I am on Dragostapelia to make on the opponent’s turn after I use up the King pops, especially since you can shuffle them back with Fusion and make it for essentially free. I also try to end on King so Creation can summon Witch searching Mace on the opponent’s turn, since in this format I believe stealing monsters is better. For example, if you negate their first Ryzeal but they got Sword in hand, stealing their monster prevents them from summoning Sword, and I also try to end on I:P (don’t run Lyna) to potentially link it into S:P for that banish, or you can even make Goddess with a stolen monster to out two bodies just like that. That’s at least how I like playing the deck. That’s my yap about the deck at least. I believe Memento is one of the best decks going into the new format, and I am super excited to play it during this format! This profile really gave me some insight and inspiration on better strategies to play pure memento. Thank you!
I think the griffin line is quite good, as at the cost of 5 extra deck spots, you make your board basically unbreakable, even in pure. Though there is an argument it is overkill, the remote duel ycs list used it, and they liked it a lot.
My brother. Great profile! Very similar to what I’m running. However, Akihiron lets you attack directly so chaos angel doesn’t matter to us. Just summon both creations and go brrrrrrr
So 2 thrusts or 3 and what would be the changes? Also, cross sheep and herald of mirage lights are insane in a pure build if you are looking at different extra deck options
