Pro tip - You can actually ask the salesman of showroom for real world mileage. When I was planning to buy a new car, I went to Tata, Hyundai, Skoda, VW. I asked every sales exec about real world mileage and not the arai claimed, surprisingly there "real-world" mileage is extremely close if not same, for eg For Nexon AMT has Arai Mileage of 17.33, exec said u can get a mileage of roughly 7-11 kmpl in city and 12-16 on highway, while test riding itself, I got mileage of 10 in city and roughly 12 on highway(not so much of highway more of open roads), and after purchasing as well my nexon gives a mileage of 8-10 in city(depends on who's driving and how's he driving) and 14+ on highways regardless of driving (under 130)
I must say you need to learn how to drive machine softly which can give way better mileage then you claim... My bro gets average of 17-18kmpl on nexon amt 2022 model in real world. Usually driving on highway n city mix up.. Its all about driving smoothly by keeping rpm meter below 1500-2000
Honda City 5th Gen manual ARAI mileage is 17.8 KMPL. I am getting 18-20 KMPL with speed range of 80-110, AC at 25 Celsius with 2 adults and 2 children with light boot space on highway. Within city, mileage drops to as low as 9 KMPL. I did Pune-Rajasthan trip of 3300 KM. I got mileage of 16.5 KMPL. It is all about your driving style, slow traffic, road condition and weather. Most important is your driving style. Honda City gives best mileage when it driven between 2000-2300 RPM on high gears.
how much? did u test it? they test emissions so they must be putting car in real life like stress to get the numbers? if yes, then mileage is correct. and think, y a company that measures pollution will measure mileage? does safety rating ncap measures count of seats?

So? It has only a 2-litre engine with a seating capacity of 2. Supercars are anyway aerodynamic by design. It may seem unreal but you can get a mileage of 10-12 kmpl.
I work in ARAI and i am part of testing…. We drive car at moderate speed of 40/kmpl mostly at 5th gear under 1800 rpm at flat surface ( no braking n no clutch use).

If the tests produce inconsistent results then there's primarily issue with the test approach itself

ARAI mileage is fine. For normal cars u can subtract a little and expect that on highway if u drive at 80. Everyone I've known as always considered arai number as ideal scenario at low speed so everyone knows 3-6 kmpl kaam melega. Also it depends so much on road type. It's impossible for 2 drivers to get same mileage so i actually like the ideal number arai gives. But sure it can improve.
I bought Swift after looking at mileage, however it was not the only criteria but I was really disappointed when the mileage was only 14kmpl which is very low compared to claimed 21kmpl.
in case of cars its around 40% - 60% (lower and upper limits)....and in case of two wheelers its 50% - 70% for example a CAR clamined mileage is 20kmpl so in real world you will get somewhere between 8-12 kmpl and in case of bikes lets say a claimed mileage is 60 so you will be getting somwhere between 30-40 kmpl....at normal driving conditions ... this is just an approximation to have some idea and not a tested and verified value.
Informative video but I still did not get why ARAI mentions mileage in their findings. If their job is to predict the emission and the mileage calculation is just a by-product (which is anyway wrong) then why not just present the data for emissions. ARAI is a government body then just do not release the mileage data. This way if the company has to mention the mileage they have to do their own separate testing.

At 9:30, you said "batteries warm temperature ke andar jyada better perform karti hai"? I don't know much but still I don't think ki warm temperature me better performance aayegi bro🤔
Because it's a hybrid vehicle with a huge battery. Suzuki GV claims a mileage of 28 kmpl with a battery of about 1.2-1.5kw. But the XM has a battery of 7.4kw. Almost 7 times in size. I mean with this battery you can easily get 70-80 km in EV mode. No wonder it can give a mileage of 60-65 kmpl.
@@Auchitya01 there has to be some kind of a catch, otherwise on full tank by using simple math we are getting never before seen range. we would probably have to charge the battery multiple times to get that mileage out of a full tank.
@N R In hybrid mode, EV mode gets activated within a certain speed limit (usually less than 40), and if the speed is on the higher side, it gets deactivated (as battery is not capable enough to provide that much power) and the battery gets to charge with the engine power. The same thing happens in the hybrid mode of Suzuki and Honda. So, I reckon that's how they must have got a mileage of 60.
@@Auchitya01 i think those cars are pure hybrid whereas xm is a plug-in version. those cars also claim more realistic mileage since they can't be charged externally.
I have achieved 38 kmpl on MID in my swift diesel 2019 model with driver and 1 passenger and 1 bag as luggage and it was 200 km drive on highway.. Bhopal to indore…and i was cruising on 80-90 kmph.
My Hyundai verna is now giving 24kmpl with 2 person full ac petrol engine but ARAI is claiming only 19.1 kmpl on highway. It all depends on driving style and road conditions. In worst case it is giving 20kmpl with 4 person full ac. It was also giving 8-10kmpl when i was driving above 160kmph on the yamuna expressway. So driving style matters a lot.
Boss we are using Wagon R CNG November 2021 till date. The city milage is 27- 28. But I wish it definitely gives us between 35/36 and max upto 41 kmp kg. All depends on the way you drive.
Could there be any difference in quality of fuel? Does the ARAI test with fuel without ethanol? Most of us didn’t even know our Petrol was blended with ethanol.. Also , in my experience with Petrol cars, we get good mileage only during single use (more than ARAI claimed 17-18) and when traveling with family we get 12-13 with Honda 1.5 L ivtec engine..
According to a video done in a youtube from for milage oil service must be done for every 7 thousand kilometres... according to local experienced few car drivers suggested me to oil service for every 8to 10 thousand kilometres
I have Ertiga 2019 model. ARAI millage is 19.34 kmpl. I got same or more while driving on Mumbai Pune Express Way. But on other highway 14 to 16 kmpl and in city between 10 to 12 kmpl.
I don't know about others but Hyundai claimed 23kmpl on the new venue diesel and it's pretty accurate. 22.6 kmpl is what I've pulled from my car with avg 90kmph.
It all comes to driving style. What I have observed is that most cars perform best when gears are shifted as soon as RPM hits 2000 and in top gear speed should be at 78 km/hr to achieve best mileage.
If fule is less expensive it can prevent accidents due to high speed. Most time high speed of car is due to intention to save fule. Low oil price will expend market of expensive cars as people will prefer more safe and good car as milage as issue will drop from mind of buyer. Car companies will shift it focus on safety of car as preference. Low price of fule boost car market.
Wagon R Delivering 27.2 Km Per 1 Kg Of Claimed Mileage 34.05 Means It Is Delivering 80% Mileage And Difference Is Just 20 % Its Good And Manageable Because 20% Less Mileage Because Of Conditions Of Traffic In Which The Driver Runs, And The Situation Which ARAI Test Is Totally Different Environment, Also Depends Upon The Driving
I work in TPIA in the OIL & GAS field. I can guarantee that when we witness any test in the lab or in the field there is always pressure to support the contractor who is performing for some clients. So basically the inspection reports are always somehow forged or shown to be nearly perfect so no one can know. Here in this case TPIA Agency is ARAI , Contractor is The Car company & Client is Govt. So when there is production of thousands of crores there is always pressure on TPI Engineer to give the clearance certificate. There was a time when TPI Engineers were considered to be the important part of any Quality Management but nowadays they are reduced to some third quality engineers with very meagre salary scale & the skill set companies demand are way beyond any engineer can accumulate knowledge in very less amount of time.

What a start with these epic line......Agar aap bhi avg Indian car buyer hai to apke bhi preference me cost ke baad aur safety ke pehele car ki avg aati hogi....
At 9:30, you said "batteries warm temperature ke andar jyada better perform karti hai"? I don't know much but still I don't think ki warm temperature me better performance aayegi bro🤔
much waited content from you
Bhai ARAI claimed milage of Safari is 16.14 but the maximum I attained was 24.5 and usually get around 20 while driving at 100 Kmph
could u explain how bmw is claiming 62kmpl mileage for it's xm car?

Bhopal to indore…and i was cruising on 80-90 kmph.
they are trying to make a STP for cars which is good for comparison
My Hyundai verna is now giving 24kmpl with 2 person full ac petrol engine but ARAI is claiming only 19.1 kmpl on highway. It all depends on driving style and road conditions. In worst case it is giving 20kmpl with 4 person full ac. It was also giving 8-10kmpl when i was driving above 160kmph on the yamuna expressway. So driving style matters a lot.
Excellent. Your content is top notch. 👍
Best reporting sir ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Boss we are using Wagon R CNG November 2021 till date. The city milage is 27- 28. But I wish it definitely gives us between 35/36 and max upto 41 kmp kg. All depends on the way you drive.
If our consumer court was fast these companies would play fair with all customers
Bhai...hatake topics par videos banate ho aap...kudos..👍👍
thank you for making such informative and interesting videos
Always admire your work 👍
I don't know about others but Hyundai claimed 23kmpl on the new venue diesel and it's pretty accurate. 22.6 kmpl is what I've pulled from my car with avg 90kmph.
This was a very interesting and informative video.
Clear cut explanation bro, Thank u
It all comes to driving style. What I have observed is that most cars perform best when gears are shifted as soon as RPM hits 2000 and in top gear speed should be at 78 km/hr to achieve best mileage.
If fule is less expensive it can prevent accidents due to high speed. Most time high speed of car is due to intention to save fule. Low oil price will expend market of expensive cars as people will prefer more safe and good car as milage as issue will drop from mind of buyer.
Car companies will shift it focus on safety of car as preference.
Low price of fule boost car market.
Love your content bro. Most genuine content
