@ruebarb1 Bro, we just try to make sure people understand that we base our cases on Apple chargers. Third-party brands have all sorts of standards, which might cause problems. But, they work for all high-quality chargers for sure.
I've been looking at bumper cases (doesn't cover the phone back glass) for bottom and top piece. But like they don't exist....just to have lay on table protection
They have since updated there all there cases for folding phones to just have the back part as to prevent any future rubbing, I also don't blame pitaka for the poor fitment to the pixel fold, as a lot of case companies got sent out bad forms by Google when the pixel fold launched and they would have to retool there forms to correct it, which is the reason a lot of companies stopped making pixel fold cases but retooling cost a lot of money for something Google screwed up
Shane just used your link to buy the Thinborne case, and I noticed that they have the Pixel fold 9 pro available... case... so you get to get a look at the phone... kinda weird looking... I have used the Later case and Pitaka cases in the past ... so I'll see how this brand is. thanks for the discount link
I'm rocking a latercase on my pixel fold. No adhesive in use, my pixel has taken some hard drops and has remained unaffected from the drop. I definitely recommend the fitment is great too.
I was interested in the Latercase but NO ONE has a month + to wait on a case for a 2k phone. You need a case right away preferably on the release date that's where Latercase is losing out on customers
im waiting for my z fold 6 to be delivered and eyeing up cases, for the cost I dont think the case is good enough, id pay it if it was better, also as its my first fold im not sure wether i need to look at cases with hinge protection? Edit do these guys deliver to the UK? i do like thin cases just unsure wether hinge protection required, I probably read too much reddit
big fan that they included magsafe into all their cases. not sure why more phones aren't putting this into their devices by default since it's part of the qi2 standard now (i think?). i'm gonna be very interested in the pixel fold case review. zfold is not for me but if i pick one up for the upcoming pixel fold i'll be sure to use your link or code if you get one.
Pitaka was the brand that didn't fit the Pixel Fold correctly. It was a whole ordeal lol. They also haven't sent me anything since I talked about it. That could be a total coincidence, but it also happens to be true. If memory serves, they said they would send me a fixed version and then ghosted me. I'd be happy to work with them again.
@@thinborne fair points. But the difference is minimal and for those of us who have to actually buy the case, I’m not sure those very minimal differences equate to spending $30 more for basically the same thing
I dont plan to upgrade from PF to PF2 or ZF6., and just went to their website to scope out a case for PF, but they dont even have one for PF? What gives, Thinborne?
We did! We actually sent it to my man Shane. The problem is, last year we couldn’t get it to fit correctly, so we chickened out and gave up. This year, we teamed up with the best aramid fiber supplier. They’ve got all kinds of connections, so we’re more confident and ready to release the PF2 (which is freaking 9 Pro XL Fold Ultra Max S).

😂 I can't help laughing. Please research on Google about the 600D vs. 1500D, plus the MagSafe. I grew up with Lew Later and the iPhone giveaway accident. I always loved the Latercase on my iPhone X. But the 600D is far more premium than the 1500D, like Lexus vs. Toyota. ❤😂
I love that case! I wish i had known about it before i got the Terras case but i do love the one i got. I have the pink one as well and i have a transparent black case with a pink ohsnap ring which i highly recommend. Its super thin and keeps the fold in my hand. @thinborne, I saw the google Pixel 9 Pro Fold thinborne case available for preorder on your website and ordered it. @PaulCotton, I will be waiting for your review on this.
To be honest with you, a tempered glass screen protector is more important. Our cases come with one free glass screen protector, which makes it a solid protector. However, the hinge is not covered, so that is something you need to consider.
This case is way more expensive than what its supposed to be, and the comparable to steel quotes is insane, i work at a steel mill and the quotes make me laugh about protection.
Well, you just made my day-I’ve been laughing all afternoon! This case is designed to give you that no-case feeling, not to survive a drop from a skyscraper. Pair it with a screen protector, and you’re all set. Next time, try reading the description before you whip out your wallet.
@@thinborne I'm glad I made your day, this still is overpriced for no protection, I like your dropping it off a skyscraper remark lol, it should for the cost😂, but their have always been other aramid fiber cases out there that give you that no case feeling at a better cost, I understand it's a business but be competitive because like every thing else. I did actually buy one of your cases a awhile ago for one of my devices to compare it to another aramid fiber case(that was half the cost) and I found no difference in it at all, it actually was a better designed case than my thinborne one because of qc issues on the thinborne.
I don't know why these case manufacturers keep on pricing their cases based on the value of the device that it's being used for. It shouldn't be this way whatsoever. If they could sell their S24U case for $50 so why is this $90? Does the front little piece really worth an extra $40? Seriously it's appauldiing. No case should be $100 unless it comes with a built-in battery pack like back in the days. It's just plastic and whatever other material. It should just be price accordingly to the material that was used. I understand that it's a new device so they want to charge more but to me it tells me a lot about a company and will not ever buy from them. Even the official cases from Samsung are overpriced but it's the OEM so I understand that it will always cost more cause of the exact fit and finish. I ended up getting the S-pen case from Samsung for $80. It's more expensive than what I wanted to pay for a case but I know it comes with an S-pen which to me is an added value to a case that should only be $50 alone. I wanted an S-pen and I needed a case so this was my best bet. I could've went cheaper and I sort of did with 2 other cases before this and they just didn't work right with the phone, It added too much bulk to the phone as well. I like semi-thin cases myself. I could do something like this in the video but the max I would pay for it would be $50. I believe you could find some generic brand using the same material for cheaper so there is always that too. I don't need a screen protector as I already have one on my phone.
It is based on our production, marketing, and operation costs. These cases are made of 600D aramid fiber, which is an expensive material. Plus, they are partially handmade, requiring skill and dedication. Even with that, there are still defect rates; we reject at least 20% of units during our three rounds of quality checks.
@@thinborne thank you for your reply. I still don't understand why the front cover is another $40 alone when it uses way less material than the back cover of an S24U. Since this is new I could understand a more fair price of $60-$70. I know eventually it will get to that price or even lower. At this time I won't get it for $90 and I know you're entitled to price it whatever you want as you do make them.
@@volcalstone You might think the front cover only requires a bit more material, but that’s not the case. We use two identical sheets for the back and the front. it does double the cost.
Latercase is good, but if you prefer a clearer, more detailed texture and better grip, remember that 600D aramid fiber is way better than 1500D. We use 600D, so we never think we are equal players. We will have Fold 2 cases ready in one week.
my god its expensive as holy god but at least it comes with a front...... Fkn pitakas fold 6 only comes with a fkn back and is still $70 Time to waste more fkn money
lol, yes! We use 600d aramid fiber, which has thinner, clearer textures, and it costs 30% at the material. Plus, we have magsafe built-in. I love Lew Laters, the case is good, not cheap.
My case has a hole by the camera and their customer service sucks and they act like your stupid and that their product is the best thing on the planet.
Haha, I'm laughing hard, bro. There's a microphone 🎤 on the cameras for better video quality with sound. If your case doesn't have a small hole, it's defective. 😂 BTW, even though we run a business, we are still human beings. We are respectful.
😂 Bro, you make me laugh. Samsung offers a tiny microphone on the edge of the cameras, so when you take videos, the sound quality will be great. Do not use any accessories from Spigen, ESR, and Pitaka that are not round in shape.
Sincerely

@ruebarb1 Bro, we just try to make sure people understand that we base our cases on Apple chargers.
Third-party brands have all sorts of standards, which might cause problems.
But, they work for all high-quality chargers for sure.
I've been looking at bumper cases (doesn't cover the phone back glass) for bottom and top piece. But like they don't exist....just to have lay on table protection
Have you tried the latercase??
Did you have the spigen screen protector on the phone with this case? Are they compatible
Pitaka is also really nice, also has some color options
Pitaka was who made the case that didn't fit right for the Pixel Fold. That soured me on them a bit..
@@shanecraigtech ah did not knownabout that. No wonder they pulled it after a while
They have since updated there all there cases for folding phones to just have the back part as to prevent any future rubbing, I also don't blame pitaka for the poor fitment to the pixel fold, as a lot of case companies got sent out bad forms by Google when the pixel fold launched and they would have to retool there forms to correct it, which is the reason a lot of companies stopped making pixel fold cases but retooling cost a lot of money for something Google screwed up
@@shanecraigtech everyone made mistakes, lol
And it's only the back piece for the same price. I was bummed to learn that.

Yeah, I actually talked about their render a while back. They've had it up for months now lol. Thanks though and I hope you dig the case!

Edit
do these guys deliver to the UK?
i do like thin cases just unsure wether hinge protection required,
I probably read too much reddit
big fan that they included magsafe into all their cases. not sure why more phones aren't putting this into their devices by default since it's part of the qi2 standard now (i think?). i'm gonna be very interested in the pixel fold case review. zfold is not for me but if i pick one up for the upcoming pixel fold i'll be sure to use your link or code if you get one.
they do not know how good the magsafe is, loil
Why not Pitaka?
Pitaka was the brand that didn't fit the Pixel Fold correctly. It was a whole ordeal lol. They also haven't sent me anything since I talked about it. That could be a total coincidence, but it also happens to be true. If memory serves, they said they would send me a fixed version and then ghosted me.
I'd be happy to work with them again.
Maybe he prefers a more premium coating, the more expensive 600D aramid fiber, a clearer, thinner texture, and better grip?

Does this case mess with the swipe gestures at all?
Not that I've experienced
not at all
It would be great if they also offered a similar case with a pen holder.
please set a ghetto set up: ringke s-pen holder hahaha
Does the magsafe interfere with the s pen?
nope, the s pen works fine with our case
Clear case on this Crafted Black feels like Aramid case. I would Love a Matt Carbon Black Phone or Matt Carbon Black Z Fold 7 with Gold frames
Pitaka is another case with similar qualities. Feels so good in had without adding any bulk.

I went with the torras MagSafe case 👍
That's a great choice too

Lol there's way better case like these at a lower price, why are they charging $100 is beyond me. For example "later case" i have purchased the memumi brand for $55 bucks, and it looks, feels, and fits better than that $100 case, I'll give them $60 max.
😂 I can't help laughing.
Please research on Google about the 600D vs. 1500D,
plus the MagSafe.
I grew up with Lew Later and the iPhone giveaway accident.
I always loved the Latercase on my iPhone X. But the 600D is far more premium than the 1500D,
like Lexus vs. Toyota. ❤😂
I love that case! I wish i had known about it before i got the Terras case but i do love the one i got. I have the pink one as well and i have a transparent black case with a pink ohsnap ring which i highly recommend. Its super thin and keeps the fold in my hand. The ring matches the phone perfectly which - to me- looks like a Caucasian flesh color. No other way to describe it- but not pink haha

I wish they made a phone completely in carbon fiber!
Expensive phone to not have any drop protection 😬 I'm very careful with my phones, but there's at least a few good drops every year that's unavoidable
@@RJ_Uploads no freaking way, lol.
@@RJ_Uploads sorry for all the information, you have a great day
I love watching these showcase videos 😊 Hope you're doing well!
Man.. very similar case in aliexpress for less than half of the price. ik it might be cheap plastic, but shit it looks exactly the same
Just remember, all aramid fiber isn't the same. At all lol.
Thanks for the feedback. Ya can actually buy a Richard Miller for 1000. And barely nobody can tell the difference
I love my Latercase on my Pixel Fold
Latercase is good, but if you prefer a clearer, more detailed texture and better grip, remember that 600D aramid fiber is way better than 1500D. We use 600D, so we never think we are equal players. We will have Fold 2 cases ready in one week.

Far more durable than a skin. Aramid fiber is extremely durable and lightweight. It's pretty used by the military for body armor lol.
Latercase is much cheaper than this
Their cases do look quite solid, but I've never pulled the trigger on any of them before.
lol, yes! We use 600d aramid fiber, which has thinner, clearer textures, and it costs 30% at the material. Plus, we have magsafe built-in. I love Lew Laters, the case is good, not cheap.
