HoF has broken me. I cannot function because I don't have HoF. HELP ME PLEASE
You will be broken at the end of the story line. Just like everyone of us.
Ok so here's a thing... each characters has different battle suits. The battle suits are name used for each characters. So like Theresa has multiple battle suits. However there are some characters and their battle suits that are NOT in the main story, but instead are in the captain-verse ( side story about you traveling to different bubble universe. These storirs are event based so you missed them... though some are getting reruns). Since this is captain verse... they won't spoil the main story.
So here are the battle suits that are in the Captain-Verse.
Lunar Kindred... This Theresa is a vampire and the younger sister of the Kallen Battle suit Sundenjager.
Sudenjager... A Kallen Kaslana battle suit that is the older sister of Lunar Kindred in a different bubble universe.
Fallen Rosemary.... This Rita battle suit is from the bubble universe of Rita who is traveling with you. She was also Irene Adler (from the event where you were trapped inside Conan Doyle body... yes the author of Sherlock Holmes).
Starlit Astrologo... Although it says Theresa Apocalypse.... THIS IS NOT THERESA AT ALL. Her actual name is Zhuge Kongming. She is from a bubble universe where she was supposed to die... and after a Re: Zero situation... you finally found a way to keep her alive but she can't be in her own bubble universe anymore.
Frevent Tempo Delta.... now this is something. Delta is a augmented version of Rozaliya (who is in the main storyline) HOWEVER, this suit isn't part of the main storyline. This suit came from a bubble universe where Rozaliya almost died and Liliya fused with her sister to keep her alive.
Haxxor Bunny... This Bronya is from a different universe that didn't suffer the fate of our brain damage russian Bronya.
Darkbolt Jonin.... like Starlit Astrologo... THIS IS NOT YAE SAKURA. Her actual name is Yae Kasumi a clone of Yae Sakura from a different universe who can hop between universe after finding out her identity.
Fischl... should be obvious. It was a Genshin x Honkai collab where they literally made fun of shit we made fun of about Genshin Impact. Plue the events were ideals of games Welt presented to Otto (clearly from a different universe that is not from main story)
Asuka.... OBVIOUSLY since this was a Evangelion x Honkai collab.
There are other battle suits that are previous era characters... but I wait before saying anything because previous era ARE main storyline.
Hof is the only fully geared Valkyrie I have

If you think you'll be broken for HoF that's because you didn't see her outfit. Jesus, I miss the chance to buy her outfit and I regret it. She'll be back sometime, just like Senti's summer outfit (I got that one, lucky me). Lesson here, don't miss any free outfit, and try to get the ones from spending events if you can, Honkai puts lots of love in the outfits-

I don't think "lots" is anywhere near the insane magnitude of effort and attention they put into Time Runner. I mean, referencing past games and future events, destroying reality itself with basic moves, hell, she freaking out-ZAWARUDOs Senti's ult! If there was every any doubt that Kiana is Mihoyo's favorite child, this should prove it once and for all.
For some reason it took me ages to realize it's intricacies and I too regret greatly not getting it before. Though I probably wouldn't anyway, being a poor f2p... Guess I better save for that one spending event sometime.

You don't need to pull for Fervent Tempo Delta - her fragments are farmable. It took me some time but I got her up to SSS rank.
HoS is a support - she supports her team by killing al enemies on the field. BTW if you liked her tutorial stage you'll love her story chapters. The arena at the end is really impressive, and the cutscene at the end is amazing - but then again, you're probably expecting nothing less from Mihoyo at this point. They know how to end chapters with a bang.
Miss Pink Elf is by far the chattiest valkyrie in the game. If you assign her to bridge duty she will talk to you even without you initiating the interaction. She's the only valkyrie that does that as far as I know.
Mobius rides on what looks like a suitcase with mechanical tentacles. A mobility option suitable for a supervillain. BTW if you're interested you might want to check out a video called "Honkai 3rd Fansong - Mobius". Despite not being official media it's extremely well made, and the lyrics capture the essence of her character and lore perfectly.
Silverwing N-EX and Carole are both from the future, and hence they are equipped with the Icarus module that lets them perform aerial maneuvers. N-EX takes it a step further by being able to hover in the air for significant amount of time. This almost feels like cheating sometimes, since many enemies are incapable of dealing with airborne characters. She's my favorite valkyrie to use in the Elysian Realm for this very reason.
Her 'Support by killing the whole team" is an outdated statement. Once you hit Exalted and once PRIs are introduced, HoS goes firmly to Support status,. There is no alternative role for her, unless you don't have other options. Her kit for Support is absolutely broken on physical comps, but she's no longer the all in one package she was at launch. I'm only throwing this out there because I hate to see early players get misinformation early on in the accounts.
Ah, I really love that song. They made another songs for Genshin (the anniversary one is my favourite), but the one for Mobius is the best IMO-

If you liked Dea Anchora's base outfit you should see the other ones she has. I personally find her wedding dress outfit to be the best in the game along with AE's wedding outfit.
Old valkyries like Bronya's A-ranks are better off being forgotten tbh. I am a 2+ year honkai player and her old suits never really had a place in the meta too (besides support). Only team she was used as DPS i can remember are old valkyria chariot missile stacking which is long forgotten amazing to watch memorial arena rotation. Some A-rank old valkyries can be still used with rank ups but bronyas is not one of them.
Black Nucleus used to be The MA valk. And now shes quite literally useless
Silverwing nex I freaking love because her gimmick is that her barrier duplicates her attack when they pass through it

All the SP battlesuits are either alternate universe versions or crossover characters. Fervent Tempo Delta is an example of the former (combining Roza and Ilya, she's an Augmented Core accessible through Roza's battlesuit only), while Fischl is an example if the latter.
Kometa Core, Danzai Spectromancer, Hawk of the Fog, Twilight Paladin, and Void Drifter are all Augmented Core battlesuits. There's an icon marking the portraits of the battlesuits you need to unlock them. Unfortunately you need to get them to Core lv4 to get their appearances unlocked. Fortunately, at least in story mode, the game will give you Trial versions to use if you don't have them at the time.
Now there is another type of SP characters and thats some of the Flamechasers.
AKA is my favorite Rita battlesuit, if I had to choose between Dea Anchora and Senti, I would go for DA but if you do try for her, you would have to go full whale mode as she's very gear dependent. If you ever want to know banner schedules, check out Marisa Honkai's channel, she posts the banners for every patch

Also Danzai spectramancer is the core version of shadow dash so she is farmable,just farm the core upgrades get shadow dash to SS (you can do this on expedition) so you can activate the core and you're all good.
Oddly enough a month ago was the game anniversary so HoF,HoS,Starchasm Nyx,Mobius and their respective equipments were in the banners alternating between themselves in 3/3 days,so yeah if you started playing a month ago you'd be broke.
Senti is both Main and Support Physical DPS.
I've heard suggestions that players should focus on building one team at a time, with one Main and two Supports being the team comp. Besides Physical, you also have Fire, Ice, and Lightning. That's it, just four. But battlesuits are very resource-hungry, so it takes a lot to max-build any of them, even assuming you have their BiS gears, which are all from the gacha. Fortunately that's only important if you want top performance in content like Abyss and Elysian Realm. If you just want to play, you can use forged gear just fine. The game has three sets of recommended gears for each character, so you don't have to go crazy spending resources on all of them. Which is good, because especially with the most recent suits, they have one set of gear designed specifically for them, and no one else. Getting copies of the same stigmata or weapon is basically a waste. You can tune some weapons into Pri-Arms or Divine Keys, but as for stigmata, no idea what to do with them.
As far as supports go, Azure Empyrea supports any elemental team well. Starlit Astrologist is a Physical Support, and similar to Haxxor Bunny (Bronnie), can be used while off-field. Both Bronnie and Pardofelis are Ice Supports. Fischl also makes a great Lightning Support, as does Fallen Rosemary, contributing some pretty good debuffs to enemies. There's also the new Fire Rita, who was free from an event as well. Rita battlesuits are almost always supports, which makes sense given her position as a maid and second to Durrandal in the Immortal Blades. And if you use Senti in a support role, her debuffs (from charged attacks) are also very good.
For mains, it really depends on who you can get, but they're all basically strong in their own ways. Herrsher Mei is always on my Lightning teams, sometimes with Mobius. Dea Anchora or HoF Kiana lead my Fire teams. And I can swap between Starchasm Nyx, Silverwing Bronya, and HoR Bronya for my Ice Teams. My main for my Physical teams is of course the new PA Durrendal.
I do think it's weird that all of Bianka's battlesuits are either Fire or Physical, unlike Rita who has one of each and a few Physical, but one of each for Bianka is 'Awakened.' You also have many battlesuits for Bronya, but they're either Physical or Ice, just different types.
Captain, save your crystals for the next Herrscher! Usually there's a new one every July, so let's wait together.

Some of those battlesuit are augment upgrade after you reach maximum level of battlesuit ( lvl 80 ), and upgrade their rank to SSS for maximum augment upgrade. Some of those augment are Danzai spectremancer, fervent tempo, fulminata. If you wondering which battlesuit has augment upgrade, just look at the bottom of its name and see if there is a cube icon. Thats the augment core. And those are not get from gacha, but grind them from mission and some core can be bought from the shop. Augment provide a difference skill set and for some even changing their basic attack pattern. One example is Valkyrie ranger augment, void drifter, which add melee attack for the charge attack.

Mei's Danzai Spectramanser and Rosalia's Fervent Tempo Delta are core upgrades of free farmable valks. All you need is to buy fragments for them, unlock them, and then farm their core upgrade fragments. You will get their new look on 4th level of core upgrade.

Most A-rank battlesuits are farmable using resources you gather playing the different parts of the game. This includes Fischl, and even Elysia. Some gears are farmable, but others are distinctly from the gacha. Mihorniverse also gives out battlesuits for free or as part of events with fair frequency, so with some patience you could build some pretty good teams. Too bad I am _very_ impatient.
I played Abyss at Redlotus yesterday with a Herrscher Mei team, and still only barely got a score for zone retention. I would hate to see what kind of thing I'd need to get promoted. My Mei has her best gears (mostly courtesy of the battlepass), just not fully leveled.

Half of the video was just "Omg, holy..." And that's music for the ears of MHY (Hoyoverse, whatever), so spend at your own risk, specially since events that give free S ranks such as Reason (She's even on the "standard banner") or Thunder are a thing nowadays (usually during spending events)
So keep that energy up and move through the story... And please don't spoil yourself with anything about Nagazora

Asuka was from limited collab event last year. You can't get her anymore, UNLESS Honkai decides to make this collab again and the event will have a rerun, it's very unlikely to happen, but not impossible.
I also wish there was a way to get her since my game bugged and I couldn't unlock her, Support didn't want to help me with this and I ended up with no Asuka.
