      I was wondering why this was reposted. Then I saw the Danny Thomas into, which I don't remember. In fact, I don't remember the existence of a Danny Thomas anthology program in 1967 (that sort of thing was a relic even then) so I suppose that justifys putting it up again.

      true...
      but the 80s saw shows run the little ''crawl' /text' citing "Dolby Stereo"
      the 2010s had a lot of shows cite 'Now in HD"
      in the next 5 years expect to see stuff hyping 'NextGen" or ATSC 3 identifiers...
      It's all a push to get people to Buy New TVs so they don't miss out of the "Cool New feature"

    That gag from The Monkees' credits where he does a quick draw and his belt falls down is just a bit funnier when you find out that the show aired across from two westerns.

    I would have had a heck of a time choosing between CBS and NBC. Such great shows! I remember we watched Gunsmoke, but I also remember watching Man from UNCLE. I was only 3, so take my memories with a grain of salt.

    CBS had a killer lineup. The first three shows had been hits for years, the others were in their second and first seasons.
    Family Affair by comparison was the least of them. It was a hit, but I felt it was mediocre by my thirteen year old standards. And of course, the tragic endings of Anissa Jones, and much later, Brian Keith, color my feelings about the show.
    Also, this is another illustration of how ABC at this time was the weak sister of the then three networks. Almost none of these series returned in 1968.

      Blame RUclips for my "absence." They've gotten worse in blocking so-called copyright infringement videos, especially since mine don't infringe on anyone's copyright as per the fair use clause. Of 8 videos I've uploaded in the last year, 4 got blocked and still are, 3 have been partially blocked and still are, and only 1 is publically available. But a real irony is that clips I've used for my videos were derived from other RUclips TV-themed channels that used the same clips and don't get blocked for doing so. Go figure. I'm considering a workaround and might try it out within the next week or so.

    I have not been able to view videos on this channel for a long time now, as it always comes up "video unavailable in your country" (Canada). This never happened before this. It seems to be a copyright issue. Is there any way around this? What other countries are affected? I love this channel, I've been following it for years, and I'm dismayed to find a new video has dropped and I can't watch it.

    • @RwDt09
      @RwDt09  7 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah, RUclips has become an annoying joke with this whole copyright infringement nonsense. It's gotten bad the last couple of years, but the irony is that when a video of mine gets blocked, it's often due to a theme intro I snatched a copy of from some other TV-themed RUclips channel where the same intro would still be visible to this day - in fact, most of the theme intros I've used have been snatched from other channels. So why hasn't that channel's video, and other channels' videos, been blocked? Beats me. Of the 11 videos I uploaded, including one today, in the last two years, four got blocked (today's uploaded one is the fifth one to be blocked, but temporarily for now until a final decision is made on it which can take up to a month), and three got partially blocked, being unavailable for viewing in certain countries. That leaves just four that were allowed to be fully viewed without any problems. It kind of makes me want to give up on this because of the time I waste assembling videos that ultimately won't be seen most of the time. If not for this copyright infringement lunacy (apparently, some copyright holders don't seem to understand the concept of fair use, which theoretically should allow my videos to be played under the guise of historical value), I'd be churning out more videos. But we'll see what happens in the coming months and whether or not I'll still try to create more videos. But thanks for your patronage.

    • @RwDt09
      @RwDt09  10 месяцев назад +2

      Unlikely. I'm having problems just uploading my regular videos with RUclips having partially or fully blocked 4 out of the last 5 of them, claiming copyright infringement. It's all bogus and arbitrary. The irony is I use the same clips others have used for their own TV-related pages which are still on display, and it all falls under the Fair Use clause, so who knows how RUclips and so-called rights owners to TV intros figure out what's really legit and what's not,. That's one reason why I haven't been posting as often as I used to.
