    What a shame the Velvet Dreams documentary didn't catch up with her/you to complete the story of the person behind that remarkable painting. Glad you can add and have added to the public record.

    Wow ive got a picture of that painting which i found 14 years ago, nice to know who the lady in the Portrait is. ive seen another artwork similar also on velvet of a local man, very amazing technique. Thank you for sharing Kia orana, Kia Manuia

    Wow. I did not a Cook Island woman was the subject of this beautiful velvet painting. She is beautiful. Did she sit for Charles McPhee or was the painting done from photograph? Either way, manea tikae.
