Amazing trick!! Just tried it myself and it worked amazingly! Some might complain about having to cut filters but if you just take the 15 mins to cut them you will have filters for months! Great video and great instructions! Thanks again!

Unless your coffee is very finely ground, you won't get much sediment and don't really need these paper filters at all. It will make cleaning the filter more work, but you'll get the routine of it quickly and probably won't mind. Just make sure to dump the majority of the grounds in the garbage, not your sink. Then you can rinse the rest off in the sink.

I’ve designed a little template that I trace around , then cutout the filter. I’ve added a little lip to make pulling the filter out of the cup easier.

No matter what I did. Those reusable K cups would NOT allow my keurig to close. They would never work for me. Ps. Dollar store coffee filters are about $1 for 250! Even more savings.

You are probably using the wrong kind of reusable cup. Perhaps you have a regular Keurig 1.0 and are buying 2.0 filters? It could be something like that. I have a K-Elite and used to have a K-70. They worked great in both.

Thank you for this video. Sediment in the cup was not an issue, however, clean up is the problem. I don't like having to clean out those reusable cups. Your video solved that for me. 😊

For those asking why people use filters for the k-cups-it's to prevent sediment

Amazing how many cups of coffee have been percolated in traditional coffee pots without using any kind of filter. Holes in the basket are a heck of a lot larger than that fine mesh K-cup style screen. So fine, it's called sediment. Growing up, what was sometimes left in the bottom of a coffee cup was called grounds. (Long before modern coffee appliances became mass marketing merchandise. BTE, there a several ways to minimize grounds in the bottom of the cup. Primary one is patience.

We have the refillable Kcups, been using them for 7 years now, but can’t understand why you purchase additional filters for the Kcup. Never have used a paper filter, just put coffee in the Kcup, use and empty coffee grinds into compost, rinse a bit under running water or drop it into dishwasher top rack.

Actually I am researching a cheaper version of the kcup filter because even though I shake out the coffee grounds into my garbage can, my kitchen sink clogged up and still not sure why. I thought it may be from coffee grounds, who knows. But I am taking precautions from now on. I am so thrifty I am renting a plumbers snake from home depo. Ain’t nobody got time for any of this drama 😞. Thanks again for the video. Helped immensely ‼️‼️

Actually, cut big filter in 4 parts. Take 1 piece and fold them up. So...fold up the corner just past the top of filter then fold each side in. Makes a perfect filter. Easy to put in pods.
