The energy was so different in this year's Christmas special, but not in a bad way at ALL. I think the kids have just matured a LOT this year, and to a certain extent, so have Shay and Collette. Shay, your family has been through many ups and downs this year, but thank you for this wonderful glimpse into your life. Wishing you a happy and healthy 2019.

In 2017 my Christmas wasn’t finished because there was no shaytards Christmas special. This CHRISTMAS WAS AMAZING ALL BECAUSE OF YOU GUYS. Kaylee Dawn Christmas is about the commercial aspect, it always is now. In the UK, most people aren’t even religious at all yet still celebrate it... as for thankfulness well they aren’t stupid, they are clearly aware they have to act a certain way on camera.
Well I been watching since year 2 or 3. Shay and his wife have struggled with money and since have showed their kids its great to be grateful with anything they receive. Now that they are wealthy since Maker studios happened and been sold for millions they still stick with the same old teaching which is amazing.

Reminds me when I was in highschool I stayed up until like 3 or 4 in the morning just to watch the Christmas special. 😂 I would sit at my computer refreshing the RUclips page over and over every 10 seconds. Okay, first off they were off and number 2 shay dealt with drinking problems that almost took down his life. And to people out there who say he is a slut or a bitch, Shay Carl Butler is a family man and he never would have done what he did unless he was under the influence of something, which he was and that was alcohol. And that slutty bitch Nina took advantage of Shay probably in ways no one could imagine and tested his humanity and left him vulnerable just like anyone of else would be. He deserves a second chance. Because he done nothing wrong. Same with Jake and Logan, and all the other good RUclipsrs who FUCKED UP. Thank you for your time. This was my speech on vulnerability.

Thank you for the information but this is my point of view on the shaytards. I never said anything bad about him and I know people have commented already. All I’m saying is that Shay was vulnerable and that people that gone through what he has should be forgiven. It’s not just Shay that made this mistake and is almost not forgiven. It’s a lot and that’s not right. Unless this world is gonna get better then it is now and become a world like year 1998 we have to make peace with the facts and help. Or else things won’t end well. Wild to look back on this and know that she was in the process of moving out and separating from Shay. You can feel the distance between them, Shay trying to bridge it by being extra affectionate and Colette holding back. Good on you guys for doing the difficult work to repair your marriage and family. Grateful to have been here for it all. I've been watching since before I had kids (2012-2013 maybe?) and now I have 4, and the way Shay and Colette parent is definitely embedded in my subconscious as inspiration for the type of parent I strive to be.
