Fascinating approach! Integrating duck farming with rice fields is a brilliant example of sustainable agriculture. It's impressive to see how such techniques can not only provide meat but also contribute to the health of the rice paddies. Would love to learn more about the mutual benefits for both ducks and rice cultivation in this free-range system.

This farming method called "Rice-Duck Farming" was invented by the Chinese dated back to the Tang Dynasty then shared with surrounding Asian countries. Japan was the first to learn it through trading with Tang but in 1950s claimed the technology as their own invention.

These number of duck' s population will give so much fertility benefits to the farm lands as these flocks will simply irradicate snails , which snails consume the natural fertilizers and even commercial fertilizers , as snails shell grow faster with the presence of negatively and positively charged ions found the moistened soil , not only that , ducks have also huge amount of fecal discharges that fertilizers back the land

I don’t think that was their intention. You do realize that ducks are not humanly killed in the wild right? And how else do you think a company is to farm an animal completely humanly? These farms have to produce such large portions of meat in order to feed the country they are in. If you let crap like this stop you from eating food that you’re supposed to eat as a human.. then you need to thicken your skin. As for me, I will continue to eat duck.

My brother has ducks and chicks for eggs.
He only eats them when they die from old age or an accident.
The eggs are unfertilized that he eats, like most eggs, so you are not eating a baby bird.
Duck or chicken egg yokes give you almost every thing you need to stay healthy.
I eat meat, but some times I just live off of raw eggs, raw cow milk, raw honey, and cucumbers for a week.

Ingenious! I wonder if any of the same ducks from a particular field ever end up on a plate with rice also from the same field? Wouldn't that be something?!! But, who knows? It's kind of sad that the ducks have to go to killing and processing places, but people need food, too, and meat is protein not readily available from other sources. Personally, I don't like the taste of duck, although I realize many people do, so this is a good technique to supply duck meat for them. Thanks for the informational video, I learned something I hadn't known before.

none of those are from those army of ducks who ate snails in the rice fields.

honenebi, they're a type of fairy shrimp. they're freshwater crustaceans similar to what many people who were children from the 70's and 80's know of as "sea monkeys" (brine shrimp, a kind of salt water crustaceans).
