The AI in this game cheated so hard. Even with cheats if you didn't kill them fast enough they would build back in like 4 minutes and also be sending an army of like 10K+ resources worth of units at you 5 minutes in on hard mode.
this game really needs a remake or an hd edition, i want it colorfull, with the collision fixed and with some good bots.. maybe some unique building styles to represent different civilizations too.. why not?.. lets see what more? i want more resources and some of them like gold and metal to be represented like mountains (just like the RTS "Rise of Nations").. maybe roads just like rise of nations too. I want Empire Earth back!
if this game gets a proper remake I can die happy. probably wont happen tho since the original studio doesnt exist anymore and no one is willing to spend money on a game that only a handful will buy. would be really awesome tho if it actually happens
with normal resources i can barely defeat 1 IA on easy dificulty, i did it yesterday and it was pretty bugged, the numbers of the enemy civilization became negative, it keeped growing even tho i was cutting its resources.. i created a civ with a great economy but the enemy keeped poping more units.. At least i did something simple like flowing the map with walls so i could control the territory expansion until it was defeated.

FYI it is far more likely than not that this person disabled the AI cheats. I didn't know this could be done, but there is a youtube video showing how: it involves taking the save game file, loading it into save editor in-game, disabling the ai cheat, and then playing the map. Notice how the video doesn't start with "random map" - again, likely because he did random map into save editor, into load save (at start of age 1).
Doesnt disabling cheat codes in the lobby not already solve some of the problem? Also he did not attack until the end. For me it always looked like the progress faster if you attack and destroy some stuff in mid game. Maybe because they rebuild stuff and than can go to the next age.

I remember loving this game because of how realistic it was compared to other RTS games, like Warcraft or Age of Empires. Unfortunately this game didn’t age well. Cheating AI makes it frustrating to play single player and no on-line server are available to play multiplayer, so it’s hard to have fun nowadays. I wish this game would receive a remake as AoE II did.

I recall one campaign map, it was ww1 and i was germany, i tried for hours to defeat the british airforce over the sea. it never happened, no matter how much i collected resources, no matter how much i wanted my soldiers to win.it never happened. i didnt know the AI cheated and could just shit out units like they were free. Another memory is the opening stages of the war, Germany as well. i defeat poland fast. and sneak units into Norway, as i learnt a lesson that if you let them build up, or be honest and declare war without deploying your units in their borders before declaring war, they would have more battleships than USA could by the end of 45. When that map cleared, i saw that i forgot a single corner of poland and there was a tank factory there. they build dozens if not hundreds of tanks in the fog of war. sure the ai was gone and they couldn't move, but the ai created tanks non stop and over 100 just sat there near the factory. they had nothing else but that one factory for the duration of the map. The Ai is a cheating bastard.
i always felt the 100 civ point start was a joke. sure you can get some bonuses, but it really wasnt enough to flesh out a good civ. i always did custom maps with 300 civ points. with the AOC expansion this allowed a good balance.
I've played EE for the last 20 years, I can definitely confirm that this is not hard IA. 1 vs 1 is really tough and with pop cap limit removed is a complete madness.
Not true, I'm using the original version (1.0) from 2002 and the IA is brutal. I'm going to upload some saved games to show this, in every attack the computers sends about 300 units at the same time which is not easy to stop.
@@classicgames9827 Well in 1vs1 game you have 600 pop limit per player and nobody EVER would say its easy. Look, I don't want to fight, I have a lot of experience on this game and this video was totally different of what I expected, the IA was so harmless. Please just give me some time to upload some of my gameplays, I have some saved games on different ages, in military stats there are like 25k deaths, just ridiculous.

@al-busaidi2289 You can destroy your own buildings by selecting them and pressing the 'delete' key on your keyboard. Select idle citizens by holding shift and pressing tab. Each time you press tab while holding shift, you will select an additional idle citizen.
I have quite a few 1 vs 7 hard AI on islands uploaded. Some starting with low resources, others with Deathmatch. Feel free to check the Empire Earth Playlist.
There are several fixes that seem to work for people, but it would be hard for me to pinpoint your specific issue. If you google it, you will find a lot of helpful information on empire earth forums. Just look for someone who describes your issue and has the same operating system that you do.

Yup the devs confirmed this. They also put right on the box of Empire Earth 2 that the AI doesn’t cheat anymore 😂

There's a free client side mod called DreXmod. Allows the game to run at modern resolutions seamlessly, and a farther zoom.
this is a Mediterranean map, resources are a tournament. Nothing special.
resources are deathmatch, which is the only way this is possible without islands.

In my opinion the only wat to defeat the IA is playing a huge defense to control the map and advance slowly wining land with towers and Warriors
