This training coach is an admirable sensei . He is like a father, a brother, a friend and a confidant. To have Carlos Yulo under his wings is a great blessings. Coach Kugumiya, I DO SALUTE YOU FOR BEING SO CARING AND YOUR SINCERE SUPPORTS TOWARD Carlos Yulo. How I wish that the Philippine government will reward him something with his hard work❤
I think the Philippine government also owes this coach a recognition and reward for he was the instrument as to why Carlos was able to bring honor and glory to the country. He's the very first and only person who believed in Carlos even when Carlos didn't believe in himself. He never gave up on Carlos even when Carlos was already quitting. He believed in Carlos that he could surpass the achievements of those Japanese gymnasts he considered idols, that he could also be a top gymnast, and that he could be a champion and win medals in the olympics...and true to Coach Kugimiya's confidence in him...Carlos did. I hope Carlos won't forget this coach and reaches out to him to give thanks.
Not only must Carlos be ever grateful to his coach we believed in him, Carlos must be grateful for all the organisations who believed in his coach and offered him the support that he received in Japan. This is what his coach reminded Carlos . The coach should be rewarded by the Philippines Government for the neglect to the gymnastics discipline with equipment that are falling apart and no funding for world class coaches.
A lot of sacrifices there by the japanese coach.
Maybe that's the reason why Carlo's mom cheer for Japan in debt of Yulo's Japanese trainer for longest time ... and at that, 14:54 time she had had ill feelings with her son, maybe due to miscommunication_ misunderstanding. It doesn't mean she don't love Carlos. They got very limited time to be together to patch up. 🤔😔 in due time, they will be okey. ❤
I can see the sadness in him because he was struggling. Imagine being a young boy away from you home with no choice but to train abroad because of the lack of gov't support and functioning facilities in your home country. Homesickness, culture differences, language barrier, lack of motivation; napakarami niyang hinarap to get to where he is now. I am sure marami siyang natutunan sa Japanese coach niya and as a Filipino, sobrang grateful ko sa mga kumupkop sa kanya. But I can't just help but wish na sa sariling bansa natin, makapag establish rin ng fully functioning training centers to support our athletes.
CALOY’s talent with the help of Coach Kugimiya is the reason why he is successful now. It pains me when he left him because of his GF, it pains me when when people kept acknowledging Madame Cynthia on why he became a champion. Remember success is nothing and useless if you do not acknowledged those people who brought you where you are now.
We should be grateful to this Japanese coach...without his all out support and parent- nature kindness and sincere faith & dedication in making Carlos a world-class gymnast, Philippines would not have 2 gold medals in Paris Olympics! Thank you so much Coach & Trainer Kugimiya for the 2 Paris Olympic gold medals!
Yeah, he was able to focus with an awesome coach and no distractions from home. Unfortunately, he now has a totally different environment: His coach and trainers who helped him develop and focus is no longer there. He is back in the Philippines with a rock star celebrity status. Greedy people trying to kiss up and get a piece of his pie (unfortunately, some relatives too). And himself. I hope he doesn't get a super inflated ego. Well, at least his accomplishments have inspired more kids to try gymnastics. Hope to see more Filipino gymnasts out there. Most of us do have the ideal stature. Lol.
He is the reason, but Caloy forgets the hardship that the coach did to him while he still a struggling gymnast. Coach Munehiro ang nag pakahirap and molded Caloy as to where he is now.
@@hakuna_matata08 and they have an agreement that yulo will go to japan if he wins gold and thanks all his former mentors. I hope he will honor his promise.

Thank you Coach.. Your care and dedication for Carlos was beyond measure - not only paying for Carlos living accommodation and cooking for him like a parent but all you taught Carlos.. Our gold medalist Carlos hopefully will never forget this unconditional love, care you gave him both on a personal level and professional level. You even went to different schools to ask support for Carlos. Just imagine all your dedication for Carlos. And yes, I agree the Philippines govt should give you recognition and some form of reward. You also deserve every bit for your genuine care towards Carlos. You parental guidance - example will never be forgotten by Filipinos around the world. God bless you Coach.

The person whom Carlos must give the highest credit. This coach saw the potentials and believed in his capabilities. He molded him to be a champion. He should not forget and thank this person after his Olympic success.

I am Japanese. I used to work at a Japanese language school where there were many Filipino children. Despite the language and cultural barriers, I spent a lot of time photographing the children and communicating with them, and I realized that there were many Filipino children who were serious, pure, and able to face difficulties sincerely. I think there were many children who were very energetic and worked hard even when they were being pushed around by the convenience of their parents and the adults around them. I'm sure Carlos Yulo is one of those who worked hard and sincerely. If I remember right, he is the team coach of the PH gymnastics team. Last year, the Japanese embassy, through the assistance of Coach Mune, donated olympic standard gymnastic apparatus to PH. This might be the one being used by the PH team for training. Govt should give him an award for all his efforts. There was also a time when there were no financial supporters and Coach Mune has to shoulder personally some of their expenses. A true sensei and he deserves an appreciation/award from the Govt.
I can't help but feel deep admiration and respect to Carlos' dedication - he trains gymnastics while also studying Japanese. As a Japanese learner, I know the difficulties of learning the language and one really needs to dedicate ample amount of time each day to get better at speaking, writing, etc. Carlos managed to do that while keeping up with the physical demands of his training. Respect goes as well to his coach, Kugimiya-san, for going the extra mile - he even checks Carlos' Japanese journal and patiently corrects it every day. I do hope that he gets the recognition that he deserves.

After the mass in Paris this Sunday morning, he said that he will go to Japan to see his former coach. God bless and guide you, Carlos! ❤❤❤
Absolutely
Not the mother...it is the Japanese
Nanay nya parin kasi
Nakaka-proud ang resiliency ni Caloy pero heartbreaking ito at the same time.
true!! galing mo wayback 22018 ko pa nawatched yan vid na yan from then alam ko one day he will go for olympics and he is now gold medalist
Deep gratitude to Coach Munehiro for his devotion to his mission and determination to help Carlos reach his goal. 🙏🏻💕
He had a great, kind coach. He was a coach, a parent, a teacher, and a cheerleader to him.❤❤
Then the gf ruined the team.

Coach Mune did his best kaya meron tayong Golden Boy.
Lol.
I was amazed by his journey the hard work and dedication fulfilled his dream May God bless you 49:01
He’s the primary reason why we have 2 olympic golds!!!! Thank you so much coach!!!!
He is the reason, but Caloy forgets the hardship that the coach did to him while he still a struggling gymnast. Coach Munehiro ang nag pakahirap and molded Caloy as to where he is now.
Pero d man lng ata nabanggit pangalan nya

@@nekonekonyan8968,bitter mu sa love life ano?😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Gratitude is very very important to Japanese.
@nekonekonyan8968 beautiful wish. I wish it to come true.
Agreed. I'm sure the Japanese were happy to see his accomplishment and would be pleased to have him visit.
His Japanese coach deserves a share in Caloy's windfall, he is the one who really nurtured and persevered to mold him into a champion gymnast❤
Thank you very much Coach for training Carlos. God bless you.
BIG SALUTE to his coach for his encouragement and patience given to Carlos! I can imagine the big smile on his face when Carlos won 2 gold medals. And to Carlos, despite of so many challenges leff and right but he never give up! Thanks for raising the Philippine flag twice! You are an inspiration! Hope when you get home, youll be able to settle your family issues with your Mom. She was hurt and kahit may mga nagawa pa ring pagkakamali, she is still your Mom who wanted the best for you! Stay humble and stay blessed.
Thank you very much Coach Munehiro Kugimiya. For your support help and sacrifices. The Lord bless and return to you all the favors , kindnesses and help , support you have done for Carlos. Walang hanggang pasasalamat Coach Munehiro. Thank you so much.
Congratulations coach! I was teary eyed when I watched this. Indeed, Carlos is so blessed having you as his coach, mentor, guide, parent rolled into one. I am sure that a lot of our coaches were inspirrd with what you did for Carlos. I hope our government sport officials will invite you herre in the Phil.
This is a great documentary.. Thank you for posting this. It shows how difficult Carlos journey is and how he and his coach overcame . Let’s hope that Carlos remember all the help and sacrifices that his coach and Japan government to put him to where he is now. Yes he worked hard and had sacrificed as well but with out his coach unconditional care and faith on him with his years of training in Japan he would not be this great in this field. Hope he remembers that , what ever falling out happened with them, he should show his respect and gratitude to this Japanese coach and all the people who were there for him along the way.
LOL
@@reezabacahindi totoo yan. In one interview, he thanked his coach for helping him out. Wala naman silang samaan ng loob. Wag mo na gawan ng issue.
@@reezabaca meron sya interview last 2 months .. in-acknowledge nya yan coach dun s interview.... manood k muna bago mag comment s mga gantong posts😅🤦😅🤦
@@himaong7267 I saw that, pero after winning....waley! mahirap ba bigkasin yun? Only plain old filipino respeto, giving due respect to those that contributed to your achievement.
Oo, Tama Ka.
❤❤❤
Special recognition must be attributed to his Japanese coach for making Caloy's dream a reality....the pain and joy of bringing out the best in Caloy...not just an olympic champion but as a whole person. We owe this Japanese coach a lot. This selfless coach!
Carlos owes a lot to this coach so much! Hope Carlos won’t forget his humble beginnings.
Thank you Coach Mune for all the sacrifices. Sorry, that you are not receiving enough acknowlegement for all your support. I don't know what happened to Caloy, he can't even call out your name whenever he express his gratitude for reaching and winning the gold. I am dissappointed of him.
He spoke well of his former coach in another interview. Pls. don't make sweeping statements like that.
Fake news peddler na naman ito. Pwede ba magresearch muna kayo bago kayo magkalat sa socmed. SMH
This is incredible. I didn’t expect his training to be documented. This coach is a great teacher. The Philippines should reward him.
One the most decipline athlete ..despite of his experience personal and training,he still made it .congratulations carlos
Sugoi na. It's good to see all the hardship & challenges behind the success of Carlos Yulo. Kugiyamasan arigato gozaimasu. Anatawa yoi kochidesu. Otsukaresama deshita. The method of writing an essay every night was a good approach in expressing Carlos' thoughts & feelings. It helped build a closer relationship between the couch & the student. Congratulations, Carlos! All the hard work & prayers came into fruition to fulfill your dreams. Keep up the faith & humility. Be of good courage because God is with you. You're an inspiration to the Filipino youths. After all, the glory belongs to God 🙏.
Thank you very much coach Munehiro for being a wonderful, good hearted as coach of our gold medalist Carlos Yulo, we really appreciate your support, effort and for being there of our own championship,God bless your heart..🙏🙏🙏
Be grateful to former coach Munehiro Kugimiya ❤❤❤
I can't help but feel deep admiration and respect to Carlos' dedication - he trains gymnastics while also studying Japanese. As a Japanese learner, I know the difficulties of learning the language and one really needs to dedicate ample amount of time each day to get better at speaking, writing, etc. Carlos managed to do that while keeping up with the physical demands of his training.
Respect goes as well to his coach, Kugimiya-san, for going the extra mile - he even checks Carlos' Japanese journal and patiently corrects it every day. I do hope that he gets the recognition that he deserves.
Thank you Mr Kugimiya of Japan 🇵🇭🙏
What a coach!! I
On behalf of every Filipino, we thank you Coach Kugimiya for your patience and hard work in training Carlos Yulo to become world class. Indeed, discipline and mental preparation paid off!!
You will always be remembered in our history!!
Thank you coach!!
❤❤❤amazing Coach❤❤❤ i now understand why Carlos’ parents kept on thanking him in all their interviews❤ Carlos’ mom’s post about rooting a Japenese athlete may be her way of expressing her gratefulness for the country who in a way accommodated her son❤
I hope that his coach is richly rewarded for his great work with Carlos.
Thank you Munehiro Kugiyama for all your patience teaching discipline to Carlos. Rigorous training paid off with gold in the Olympics
