Stupid questions by the Chief Justice. What relevance is it whether or not he recalls her as a student at his university. Surely she must have submitted a résumé setting out her educational qualifications. The question is not for how long did she act as a High Court judge but rather how many of her judgements has made judicial precedent, deviating possibly from established inferior court judgments and the reason why she decided cases that departed from previous precedent in South Africa.
