Can be daunting to start creating your own modlist. I've tried many mods with varying degrees of success. One of the biggest improvements of my modding experience comes from swapping Vortex to MO2, turns out Vortex was causing a lot of my issues. The ability to manually alter your Load Order and the fact you don't add most mod files directly to the game directory is a massive help. Definitely recommend them along with all of Simon's other mods like Scion and Thaumaturgy! Simon's mods all synergize really well to create a cohesive vanilla+ experience, expanding on and refining existing mechanics instead of adding bloat with a bunch of new mechanics

    • @Smoking_Tiger
      @Smoking_Tiger Год назад +3

      @@Kaiserker Exactly! That's what a V+ or simplified modlist needs- not an atom bomb of extra stuff, but improvement of mechanics, QoL features, maybe a few immersion and light town/location/interior overhaul mods, and an easy facelift! Skyrim is amazing on its own, but it just needs a little booster seat for the modern day. As far as character progression and mechanics go, Simon's mods are a great and underrated start. Apothecary gets no attention, but it's a mod I can't play without these days. Mysticism and Thaumaturgy do a great job of bringing back some effects from previous games in a balanced and vanilla friendly way. Adamant takes the perk system and reworks the progression to make more sense, but it won't smack you in the head with an almost overwhelming mountain of new perks and mechanics.
      Currently looking at maybe trying a new perk mod called Master of One... It changes perks dramatically by making ever perk have both positive and negative effects. If only more magic mods were patched in besides mysticism... would be a no brainer, especially when combined with Experience, which is another essential mod I refuse to play without now.

    Awesome list, will give it a try. How taxing is the ENB? I have a 5700x and RTX 3070 for reference.

    This helped so much! I am having an issue though, I have some texture issues with some of the Nordic and Dwemer ruins, not really sure what’s causing it but I’m using most of the mods here. Are their known issues between 2020 and Rudy’s Nordic ruins?

    Man all I want is for my game to look like yours. I have never modded or really even played Skyrim before and its so complicated and there are so many extra steps just to get my good to look semi decent.

    Good modlist. Simple but it look like a modlist that the author of the video REALLY USE FOR GAMEPLAY and not some fancy stuff used only for videos

    Hey redshift thanks for the video. Im pretty new to modding just getting it setup. When you say your modlist is in correct load order is that the whole way down? so if I load them all in order top to bottom like in doc(first is Static Mesh Improvement -> Last is Compass Navigation Overhaul)

      Load order wouldn't really matter as must of them touch different things - you must load parallax caves over skyrim remastered caves though

    Thanks for the vid, everything works fine! Do you know how to get rid of the mini black bars on the screen? I'm not talking about the enb thing, i disabled the bars but there is still a mini black frame on the screen? Also do you know which particular mod makes my game run in 50fps? I have 3060gpu and i would love to run the game in at least 60fps

    Hey there! A question for anyone with the time to answer… I’ve always wanted to get into Skyrim modding but have never had the chance. Do mods like these^ specifically the visual ones, carry over to Mods like Beyond Skyrim? Does it improve textures in the new lands added by mods like that?

  • @KhaoskillR

    This list looks simple but excellent and I'll definitely be using it as a foundation on my next foray. Quick question though - I see you're using True Directional Movement in conjunction with Precision. Do you use anything else for combat?

    Looks incredible. Been wanting a more vanilla style load order lately, and this one fits the bill perfectly. Any idea if this would run well on an RTX 3070? My former PC was a GTX 980m, so I'm not familliar with the performance of the RTX 30 series.

    • @redshift1
      @redshift1  10 месяцев назад +1

      It would certainly run well! - I would get the upscaler just for good measure though.

    My mods included a variation on people's size, age and proportion.
    It's surprising how effective it is to see the variation in game.
