    This is helpful, I didn't know that.
    I originally subbed for the Magstrikes, I film Nerf Wars and HvZ myself.
    But I have been playing Rust recently.
    I found if you're double walling, before you place a ceiling or walls you can place a ramp between the walls, and then place a spikes on top of that. A ramp takes about 160 hits with a pickaxe, plus now with item durability, that gives you extra protection.
    I wonder if the same non-adjacent trick works on that too, never tested it.

      I don't imagine it would because the spikes are no longer on the foundation but on the ramp on top. I may have to do some testing myself and get back to you.

    what happens if i c4 the wall then destroy the spike?

      You would then be able to build adjacent to the building. In this case, it's not as good as using foundations with central pillars, but it is cleaner and looks nicer.
