Ive not figured out anything new, especially since boltwave was printed as that sort of undoes why I was going to a black splash at all in Bump. After the matches youve been through, what thoughts do you have on bump/vinelasher/blaze/tribal flames and leyline binding? I know you said you werent certain if the mana was worth the trade off for tribal flames, and that may be the case especially now with boltwave also existing. It really depends on if vinelasher is "good enough" Vinelasher feels like that equals more than usual number of fetchlands, and as you do that it takes you down the rabbit (lizard?) hole weve been through above. Maybe theres a better mana base out there yet. Maybe tribal flames just feels cool but is inbetween, like shrapnel blast. I cant say for certain, but I will say Thank You.
Thinking it over and looking at stuff again even though the bnr list gets updated in a few hours, the idea I have so far is this. Manabase 12 fetches 1 RUG triome 3 mountain 2 blood crypt 2 sacred foundry 4 LBolt 4 Lspike 4 BoltWave 4 Bump 4 Boros Charm 4 Tribal Flames 4 Rift Bolt 4 Skewer 4 Swiftspear 4 Vinelasher/Goblin guide, whichever feels better. Searing Blaze of course likely has a home somewhere, But Id say you decide that one. I still dont like the idea of thoughtsieze, especially vs eldrazi as even if they land something big, we should be able to burn around it. If they have threat plus ring chain so be it, im not looking to break that up, If I bring something in there its likely leylines because they both handle a through the breech target on the spot, or a Trinisphere/chalice etc etc. Alternativly for fun There is a way to use Chandras Incinerator as Vinelasher, Seal of Fire, and Rift Bolt can all enable Incinerator early. Just keep in mind Bump does Not work to enable nor after Incinerator is on the field. Looking forward to future content and the BnR list today. Best Wishes!
With above, Id try not to kill something, even if it looks really bad unless its guide of souls and just try to race. Curious to see if that approach still has merit
