    Pretty cool system!
    I have two 60 gallon drums and catch my AC condensate water to use for my garden 😁

      The less water that we have to buy from the man or take out of our wells, the better :-)

      Thank Dan. It's been a work in progress and learning experience. I think that I have it dialed in for me pretty good now. With the old system, I had to fully take it out of service and dismantle it before winter so it wouldn't freeze and break. Now I just leave that main valve open so it doesn't fill and drain what's in it. I still have storage in the basement, so if we get a warm stretch in the winter and it rains, I can just close the system up to catch and transfer it inside, and then drain what's left for when it gets cold again.

    Some good ideas there.

      Thanks Steve. It seems to be a pretty good system now. I still only have all of the connections friction-fit. Nothing is glued, and not being pressurized, I haven't noticed any significant leaks to compromise filling the tank.

      @@EMTRailfan Friction fit is great for testing . when I set up im going to run it through sand and gravel first to get most of the Bird crap and pollen out . Something easy to replace . maybe a rack and some kind of a removable tray.

    Neat set up you have going on.
    Is this strictly for the gardens or can it be consumed?

    • @EMTRailfan
      @EMTRailfan  3 месяца назад

      I would be more apt to consume if we had a steel roof, but we have asphalt shingles. In a dire emergency, I would probably drink it and save our stored water for Mama and LH.
