It’s like saying you have anxiety when you experience getting anxious. Being anxious is a normal feeling for everyone. But anxiety is a whole other thing. Being mildly bothered by spiders is not the same as having a deep fear of them
The story I heard was that he was dumped into a deep foundation hole covered lightly in dirt then the concrete trucks came in and squirted/blew in the foundation, doing the normally scheduled construction pours. He was a worker and those that did him in made him part of the very foundation of that building. The idea of a few men cutting concrete and burying him in stealth at night seems more for you guys to make a show. Not a big criticism but I worked in construction in NJ in those years.
@@maastomunkki Not sure on that, but I did see as much as 30 inches of concrete in the basement of some high rises and government buildings. In the basement. Rebar is used much more often now than before. But it was rumor, so it could be the rebar was on him covered lightly in dirt. Another rumor put him out in a vast parking lot.
@@charleediaven6278 aye, if indeed some of the more experienced builders were in on such a nefarious task, I think they could plan their work schedule so that a body could be slipped in to the foundation hole without raising too many eyebrows.. a lot of effort though. So I guess, improbable, but not impossible?
@@maastomunkki Improbable certainly, but I remind you these rumors abounded as the Myth Busters showed. But in that construction industry in NJ would the ''also rans' those wannabes bury him by sneaking in and making a cut, a dig into fresh concrete? If you were in construction would you bury a body with the ongoing pour or sneak into cut concrete as the Busters did? ,
From South Australia Here: Looking forward to Americans talking about spider bites and thinking of all the spiders here that could kill me ... if I bother them!
Seeing Adam throw a small hissy fit after the insurance company denied them the plane like a kid who'd been told not to do something was funny but also somewhat endearing. They would eventually get to blow a taxi down the runway with a jet plane, but it was Kari, Tori and Grant who would do it.
if hoffa is burried in concrete.. then his bonew are crushed and mixed in the concrete and that concrete used as the concrete used to build the stadion. a much better place than under the grass. nobody will ever find a bone in concrete in the foundation
Lets be honest... it makes no sense to bury him or anyone in a stadium... if you were going to dump a corpse in concrete which in itself seems like a worst case scenario... then youd do it in an innocuous place where there wont be constant public footfall and renovations. Its a million times likelier for the mob to dump a body in a dog food factory than at a stadium... also and this is crucial... they had no cctv and access to hydrauluc presses and wood chippers... no way sm1 was burying bodies in concrete unless it was a specific message meant to be discovered.
Putting those pigs in the concrete was nasty. If you did bury a body in concrete, you’d want to wrap them in plastic or something first so that the gasses don’t escape. Just as they did with the pigs.
the gasses would still escape sooner or later, as preasure builds the plastic will give way, maybe a solid box of steel that is sealed might make it so that the preasure kills the bacteria inside befor it would burst?
Salt? Salt will dehydrate the body at the very least. Plus it’s been used for mummification naturally and intentionally. At least it would minimize the smell. Though it would take a long time
There's a myth in the tarmac n concrete trade. During the late 60s n 70s, there are rumours that during the construction of the M6, Spaghetti junction. That concrete workers would come to work, but where they were due to finish was already finished, also new roadwork awaiting aggregate to be delivered found the aggregate laid and rollered, ready for the tarmac layers.
Are you referring to the pogs in the pirates special and killer cable snap? Those were testing tissue damage and were probably partially gutted/drained at the slaughter house before the test. These pigs and the ones in the smelly car myth were specifically testing on decomposition, so they had to get whole pigs with no preservatives or anything.
@@92xsaabaru- well I was thinking of a different episode but yeah they were measuring bone breakage. Still in this one why couldn't they get fresh pigs and bury them? It would smell better and more accurately emulate the experience of a recent "Mafia hit" where the person is killed and the body dumped the same night before time to begin decomposing. But mostly, it would smell better.
Why? The news article said 75 feet. That's about 22,5 meters. So when you simply divide it by 3 to get an estimate in your head, 25 is what you get. Where's the problem?
Nope. At this point he probably never will be. There's so many places that he could be hidden, and plenty of those places would have totally destroyed his body by now, such as if he were dumped in the ocean. It's even potentially possible his body was recovered, wasn't able to be identified, and it's just part of a cold case somewhere.
Giant Stadium was demolished in 2010 and they found no evidence of Hoffa then, so that conclusively busts that myth. According to Wikipedia, most investigators and historians believe he was murdered and cremated in the Detroit area. The FBI and state police still occasionally go out to investigate tips of his location.
If Hoffa is in the stadium, he'd be in the foundations. If the Mafia had anything to do with it then they'd be sharp enough to make sure he wouldn't be found until anyone linked with the job was long dead. The pitch is too likely to be remodeled but no one is digging up concrete foundations. But, the Mob likely didn't stick him anywhere near the stadium. Odds are the rumours only aided their waste disposal efforts. While everyone looks around New Jersey, Hoffa is probably 6 states over and at the bottom of a lake. If he were concreted, they likely have frozen him to make it easier to cut him up. Easier to dig 6 1ft holes than 1 6ft hole after all. Less risk of enough of him being found.
I’m going to be honest I’m an arachnophobe and if I had the choice between the daddy long legs tube of death experiment where I have daddy long legs crawling all over my arm where I’m only getting out with bite marks and the arachnichair with pink toed tarantulas crawling all over my head for at least two minutes I’m going with the daddy long legs tube of death every time since they’re smaller and as shown in this episode they’re less lethal and a lot less painful than the tarantulas and to me the bigger spiders are the scarier ones or at least the ones with bigger eyes and the larger the spider the less likely I’ll need a close up camera shot to see it’s face especially the Portia spider who has the creepiest of all creepy little eyes
